White Pumpkin(Ash Gourd) - 1/2 Kg
Saffron - 1 Pinch
Salt - 1/2 Pinch
Edible Camphor - 1/2 Pinch
Sugar - 1/2 Cup
Elaichi Powder - 1/4 Spoon
Ghee - 2 Spoon
Cashews - 15 Nos.

@@AdugeSadhana The reason I know is in Hindi Ash Gaurd is called Kashi Phal. This halwas is basically originated in Iran. While travelling from there to south India. It would have been called like that. Due to it's satvik nature it's called Kashi Phal. Very apt I felt.

I bought that bronze payasa urali from Kumbakonam (Tamil Nadu) when we had gone for temple trip. It is 2800 for 8 inches urali. That place is famous for bronze and brass.

Hello Madam,
White pumpkin has to be added in boiling water, just like how we add rice in boiling water while preparing Anna.
Instead of adding extra water I separated the pumpkin water and used it. It is not waste of time, but to give good flavour and good texture to halwa.
