Firuze's secret is exposed!
Suleiman finds out about Firuze's secret that she shares with no one. Hürrem's hand gets stronger and wants an explanation with all her self-confidance from Sultana Hatice that she has protected Firuze for years. Firuze gets endungeoned and she gets questioned by İbrahim Pasha.
Meanwhile, Prince Mustafa intends to solemnize with Helena although Mahidevran warns him. After that, Mahidevran wants to get rid of Helena. She infroms İbrahim Pasha via a letter and wants him to meet with Mustafa.
As Suleiman gets informed by İbrahim about the political landscape in Europe, Sultana Hürrem meets with Ebusuud Efendi and asks for help to do charity work for the foundation which she found in her name. This also is a new alliance against İbrahim.
As Hürrem waits for the decision about Firuze, the letter Mahidevran has sent to İbrahim arrives to the palace. İbrahim accepts to meet with Mustafa and writes a letter and orders Yahya of Taşlıca to get it to Manisa. However, Sultana Hürrem gets the letter thanks to Rüstem Aga.
As Suleiman waits for Mustafa's decision about Helena, İbrahim Pasha sticks with Mustafa and defends him. İbrahim Pasha tells Suleiman that he will go to Edirne but he sets off to Bursa to meet with Mustafa.
What will happen to Firuze? Will Prince Mustafa get married with Helena? Will the secret meeting of Mustafa and İbrahim be exposed? Will Helena be able to protect her life after Mustafa leaves?
At the age of 26, when he ascended to the throne, Sultan Suleiman aimed to build an empire more powerful than Alexander the Great and to render the Ottomans invincible. Throughout his 46-year reign, he became the greatest warrior and ruler of both East and West.
The young Suleiman received news of his succession to the throne during a hunting party in 1520. Unaware that he would be ruling a reign beyond his dreams, he left behind his wife son and took to the road with his close friend and companion Pargali Ibrahim to reach the Topkapi Palace in Istanbul. As they started their journey overland, an Ottoman ship set sail from Crimea in the Black Sea, bringing female slaves as gifts for the Ottoman palace… On this ship was Alexandra La Rossa, the daughter of a Ukrainian Orthodox minister, taken away from her family and sold to the Crimean palace. She had no idea that she would become Hurrem, wife of Sultan Suleiman and mother of princes, ruling the empire with him through bloodshed and intrigue.
As Sultan Suleiman conquered the world, his great passion for Hurrem would clash with his love for and trust in his closest friend and advisor, Grand Vizier Pargali Ibrahim, all set against the backdrop of the tension between Christian Europe and the Ottoman Empire in the 16th century.

@@lovelydove8770 Haha Yeah... Mehmet was Süleyman's favorite. Süleyman favoured Mehmet as his heir. And real-life Mehmet had a daughter before he died, Hümaşah Sultan. Mahidevran was just "Mahidevran Hatun" . "Sultan" was only for blood Princesses and Süleyman made it an exception for Hürrem. He broke every rule for her. He made her The Empress of The Ottoman Empire, which gave her equal status to him. Which means she never bowed to anyone, not even to Süleyman's sisters.

I love how Firuze is crying at the end because she is being sent away. That she is in "love" with the sultan but refused to drink the poison, unlike Hurrem who was willingly to.

I love how Hurrem uses Afife Hatun as a tool to make every plan easier. She knew how Afife would react at something and use it as part of the plan 😂 and Afife was like confuse but had no choice, and then she did what hurrem exactly wanted from the beginning.

This is by far my favorite clip!!! Firuze was always a fraud and illusion. Not the simple farm girl who could sing, dance , knew poetry and healing methods. She was a conniving little spy/snake from Persia who was trained member of Savifid dynasty. From the beginning Hurrem treated her with kindness and respect but Firuze betrayed that trust. Hurrem was wrong to take out Nadia but Nadia and other concubines that knew should have stepped forward and told Hurrem the truth about Firuze.
Sultan deserved the shock & embarrassment of being duped by Firuze. Hatice, Ibrahim & Afife lost face too bcuz they protected her. As Hurrem says “Loyalty more important than Love” . After the Firuze phase you can tell Suleyman knew that the relationship he had with Hurrem would never return to what it was. She loved him but would never fully trust or depend on that love again. She also stopped caring when he was “sad” . Some people hate Hurrem but she didn’t choose this “game of thrones” she had to play to protect herself & her children.
I hate the tenderness in Suleiman’s eyes when he looks at Firuze even in moments like this

She didn't just say it because it's what he said to her, NO she said it while proving that while she didn't like the woman she indeed only did it because it was for his safety. She proved again that he made the right choice making her his Haseki Sultan, putting her In charge of his Harem and that as mother of his children she was a capable woman and fit for him to talk and keep counsel with.
She's always making sure she considers every single angle of what she's doing. She might miss sometimes but no one is teaching ehr, she's learning from them as she goes 👀

She's very focused on survival for herself and children as well as Suleyman's life ... all the rest was secondary ... she got her priorities right.
While her enemies especially Ibrahim , mahidrevan and mustafa were more into trying to get rid of her and Suleyman and her children so that they could take control of the throne, enriched themselves and be powerful - hence losing the plot.

Well, what else should they have done? That's what the whole series is about. It's basically the 'Housewifes of...' set in the Ottoman empire. The time period makes for a great setting, but it's not meant to be a history lesson. It's just entertainment.

Yes thanks to covid, I actually checked historical fact against the whole series there is not a single truth in it and the time scale is something else

Agreed, his entire reign was magnificent, did we really need all the useless subplots and "love" interests?
I would like to point out my observations of this episode that are noteworthy.
-Firstly when Suleiman went to Hurrem about Firuzes imprisonment unlike the time when Hurrem was thrown in the dungeon he did not immediently order for her release instead he asked Hurrem why she threw her in the dungeon. This is a VERY clear sign that what he feels for Hurrem is different compared to Firuze. If he really loved Firuze so much he would have had her released first and THEN asked for reasons. But he did not.
-Secondly once he sees Firuze enter and smile,let us compare it with when he sees Hurrem. With Hurrem his eyes twinkle and his smile is broad,his whole face is radiating happiness and shines like the Sun. But Firuze it is different,he does smile faintly which people could interpret as tenderness the same with his eyes but if one looks closely it is not the case. His eyes are glassy unfocused yet seem to only see her,he is 'enchanted'. Literally I mean. With her his mind is clouded but when Hurrem calls to him you can see he regains clarity right away and focuses on the matter at hand.
Firuze is confirmed a witch who spelled Suleiman into 'loving' her. This gives Firuze so much confidance and WHY she always tells Hurrem about their 'love'. Of course Hurrem never trusted her,she knew true love and Firuze never loved Suleiman. Firuze herself did not expect Suleiman to stll love Hurrem as he did. He was suppossed to only love HER and only have eyes for HER. But he truly loved Hurrem foiling Firuzes plan from completely unfolding. So she tries breaking Hurrem and having her give up on Suleiman so Suleiman would give up on her completely and fall under her spell wholly. It failed of course. I believe that is why she always touched Suleiman so much when begging to better influence him letting her live so she could leave.
I always thought Firuze looked like the skeletal "Corpse Bride."

@@princess7jasmine Not really. Actually her plan was brilliant and pretty realistic if you've ever seen arsenic or mercury poisoning victims (Although mercury victims tend to reach insanity which would have been a telltale sign that someone was trying to kill him....).
For one, it was a poison that no one could identify
Two, had she done a one and cut, she would have been executed upon completing her mission. Can't exactly have that, now can we?
A slow poisoning was BRILLIANT because then no one would have figured it out had she stayed at the palace and faked her sadness.....
Alas, Hurrem knew better, and Rustem and Sumbul are like fkn police K9s when it came to finding any and all evidence for whatever Hurrem wanted/ needed, and it was just too easy to put 2 and 2 together once that tat was discovered.

Like this? Yeah, small doses over a long time will definitely do what it did to Suleiman, especially since they didn't even know wtf it was and it didn't do any major internal or external damage that would alert someone to it sooner.
The stuff in Hurrem's pudding? Also a poison but worked in less than 3 minutes, attempting to rip her organs to pieces, and causing her and the baby great pain.
Poison is sooooo much fun to research, and what each does is super interesting.
Much better ending for Firuze, in my opinion, would be if Suleiman gave her poison like he had done to Hurrem. Asked her to willingly drink it and then she suddenly took out her dagger or smth and attacked him.

Suleiman's love for firuze turned into 360° in one night. Hurrem also did so many mistakes but he never permanently sent her away but when it comes to mahidevran or firuze he became totally cold.
Hurrem's acts were subtle. Sultan couldn't catch her red-handed.

Vahide is a wonderful actress....but the entire second half of the series was missing Meryem's sass and attitude...only she could give Hurrem the personality needed to succeed in defeating all against her. Vahide was too giving, submissive and light in playing Hurrem. She didn't have Meryem's spark. As for "Firuze"....she may have loved Suleiman (though he clearly did not love her as is seen in the hardness of his eyes when he finds out she's Persian)....however, we forget that she was indeed a spy , that she was taken back to Persia to report to the shah and the real Firuze and that after she left Suleiman nearly died....so how did she poison him?

I love that having masterfully set everything in motion Hurrem stands there almost giddy with excitement waiting for Sulieman to come to her to demand answers as she knows he will. You can tell that she just can't wait to tell him and essentially throw in his face exactly who his " favorite " really is. She knows once she tells him the truth about the little Persian snake not only will Firuze be gone but her enemies who supported Firuze will be seriously weakened in power and start to fall like dominos. Notice Firuze was already out of the dungeons and there to be brought in before Sulieman once he got there. Firuze's character was written poorly unlike Victoria's. We saw her motive and attempts on the Sultan. We saw nothing of this with Firuze. Who was her contact? Was she sending messages about the Ottoman empire back to the Savfid dynasty? I didnt even know her end game was to kill the Sultan. And she never even tried - unlike Victoria. But she's a very good liar.
