Absolutely love the growl. I really, really hope we aren’t really in the final days of these and going 100% EV as quickly as GM has discussed. These are incredibly engineered machines and a driving enthusiast’s dream.
I think that entirely depends on how November goes - whether or not auto makers are going to bow down to the agenda. The agenda is falling apart so hopefully this kind of machinery stays.

Traction is indeed a problem. Gotta be in manual mode and in at least 5th gear or you’re going into a full spin. This is around the same power level as the Hennessey Blackwing.
At idle and WOT it’s loud in cabin. Cruising at highway speeds you’d never know it was modified - sounds same as stock at all baffle/engine noise settings.I have $26K in everything done including labor for cam, valvetrain upgrade, and tuning.

Sounds great but does every CT5 Blackwing have that annoying squeak coming from the engine bay?? I've noticed it when I first leave from a standstill with my manual, too. So annoying coming from a 6 figure car. I'm going to have the dealer look at it in the spring when I take it out of storage.
Mine had a squeak sound after I did kooks headers. It’s because of the thin wall tubes you can literally hear the gas flowing and it makes the squeaking sound. Initially I thought I had an exhaust leak and I did a very thorough smoke test and found she was sealed up tight. If you still have stock exhaust your squeak is likely a pulley or belt.
You literally hear the car transition from open to closed loop after running for a short period (gets real choppy when I walk back to the rear of the car). The dash doesn’t even register coolant temp - it was a cold start - like high teens Fahrenheit cold. Not sure if you’re just trying to stir the pot or if you have some other issues goin on…

Lots of cammed lt4’s out there. This ain’t new territory. All that’s new is global b and learning the nuances of tuning the torque based parameters.
Unreal. My Escalade V's engine just went out after the first oil change. Is the CT5 having the same issue?
I had almost 2k miles on my engine whenever I had the heads and cam swapped. Never had issues before I built the engine, though…

Zero. I never have…just saying that the car was fully built at 2k miles and it’s still all good.
