so happy they are still making these in manual, a lot of others competitors are falling out of the whole manual transmission but i am all for it, i love it and makes the car feel so much more raw.
The CT5 Blackwing is the best American Sedan period. Probably of all time but definitely period. It’s not just the best sports anything. The car does it all and makes me wonder what was BMW smoking to make the new M5 all that much heavier for less dynamic performance
I think BMW was trying to meet stricter emissions guidelines in the European market. I would still prefer an F90 M5 over the Blackwing due to awd and I like the tech in BMW's better. But for an American sport sedan, the BW is definitely is the king.
The bmw m5 has always been the daily driver M car. I think u people just forgot completely about what it was becuase the last gen was so good around track aswell. The new one is even faster for daily driving and is even more comfortable. Don't see the problem.
@ except it’s not faster than the Competition model or CS model it was barely faster than the older base M5. And that’s in a straight line. Now throw in a lap around the track and its painfully clear how bad this new car is.
@@MrSupersaiyangoku to the quarter mile they are about equal but from any type of roll the new m5 blows everything away except maybe the m5cs. Hopefully a new gen m5 cs comes along becuase the weight is insane. But after looking at the weight of its competition in the throttle house video.. its actually on par with the others and that's why a hybrid
@@G82Watts I don't think there is any real net benefit of the hybrid system. There is no decent electric range and the added weight has nerfed the ICE performance. I seen the Throttle House video and while the M5 does well against other bloated hybrids, it's overall just a step in the wrong direction. At this point, I wish BMW offered an M550 with the S68 mild hybrid system. Comfortable, stylish, and plenty of power.
Please make these videos in the same angles and format you used to create in they look soo much more expressive other than that love watching your content and the vedio quality❤ keep up the good work 🙏🏼
I respectfully disagree I think they did a great job modernizing it without sabotaging it like the new M series BMWs. As for the infotainment, they’re just keeping up with the market and current market needs (every car has a iPad sized screen now).
Agreed. The CT5 already looked less aggressive than the CTS. Now it looks even less so. It’s still a good looking car, but as an owner on a 23 blackwing I don’t think it’s worth upgrading for. The interior difference is a plus.
After having just driven the new M5, I totally agree. This is an update to the tech to keep pace with competitors, but the dynamics and "soul" of this car remains unchanged. It's terrific
I really like the car because it has a discreet color, its design is modern but not exaggerated, people can't imagine what it has under the hood and that's why it can teach a good lesson to anyone who is the best 😈😈😈😈.
Not a fan of the big screen lapping into the dashboard, but I'd still buy one nonetheless. Hopefully the market brings the price down in a few years to where I could get mine!
Love this color, really looks sleek and classy, they somehow managed to make that design even more pretty than it already was before. Cadillac with its V sedans has really been eating bmw‘s M model lunch for years and years now. Kudos to the Americans ! Many of their vehicles are world beaters once again and are second to none, this Cadillac right there is one fine example for that! 🇺🇸👍🏻
I own a 2024 manual CT5-V blackwing and intentionally did not wait for the refresh. I agree with you that the old front end looked more aggressive and attractive. I especially liked the split in the vertical running LED and horizontal lights from the older version. The new one reminds me of a GMC truck or much older CT6. As for the infotainment screen, I had an XT4 loaner last week from the dealer with the new 33" screen dash and it was nothing special. If anything, I missed having a home button on the dash below the current touch pad and a volume knob. I also don't like how it sits closer to the steering wheel. I like having oil temp, coolant temp, tire air pressure, and boost pressure in my 4 tiles and this is not possible on newer model I suspect. Anyways, old is gold! Enjoyed the review!
Mike's my Mike I like you cuz you're the best TH-camr too you are my favorite TH-camr because you did this thing that video of the 65 CT 5e I like that 65 I like that ct5 V Blackwing
14:35 miles I understand completely with the “same bite” for braking that imthe carbon ceramics allow and thats so true major difference to me when canyon driving In angles forest highway .
Hey miles with everything you liked and disliked about your 23 blackwing, after driving the 25 again did it make you miss or regret letting go of the 23 or did this one spark your interest in getting the new redesign. Thank you and thanks for making the video!
Miles, how much of a difference in ride quality did you feel on the road between the standard Blackwing and the precision package? If you weren’t planning to track the car, which would you get if ordering a car like you did with your ‘23?
You tested the precision package in V sport mode, but tested the non-precision in track mode…Is the steering on the same mode? Or does it just not affect it?
So what's the verdict on precision package value specifically for road use? I watched all your videos of the '23 BW and was curious about your conclusion. In this video, you mention feeling a positive difference in steering and braking while driving but then concluded they're both good. Put a deposit on a '25. Not going to track much, debating on whether precision package worth it.
Stuck between choosing a 2025 Cadillac CT5-V (non-blackwing since I don't need or use all that HP) and a 2025 BMW M440I, which one would you choose? Its tough for me since I love both cars and designs.
The M440i is going to feel quicker, but the V's ride quality is the best and (IMO) it looks better. They'll feel about the same in terms of cabin space, and the tech is similar, just down to interface preference.
@@MilesPerHr I really love the interface on the Caddy, Im not as speed forward as others might be, I like the whole package more. And the CT5 looks more classy, luxurious, and better on the outside imo, while also packing a punch for power, I think that'll be the one. I appreciate you greatly for the quick and detailed response! By the way, would love to see you do a review on the 2025 models of the Genesis G80 6 cylinders!
I love the older design but can live with the new one but love the new infotainment. P.S. is that a sticker blocking the speed hahahaha. I know why he did it but i sure would like to know what speed he was taking those turns because the baby look like it wasn't braking a sweat lol
I like the front end, aggressive and headlight shape looks like a Cadillac. Color Gorgeous💚 Headlight also reminds me of a '24, '25 KIA Sorento/Carnival haha but that's ok.
Hey big fan of the channel for a couple years now, have you considered filming a video with the new rayban meta glasses? Would love to see if there’s a difference in the POV perspective
Hey, thanks for the support! I've thought of them, but a few things hold me back: the imagine stabilization isn't nearly as good as a GoPro, the recording time isn't as long as GoPros and I can't swap batteries to keep going, and the aspect ratio doesn't work super well for horizontal video (even when cropped). I want whatever comes after the Meta glasses (cuz Lord knows I could give up living with a blocky camera on my head 😆)
Not a fan of the back of the driver and passenger seats being carbon fiber. Would prefer leather myself, assume that can be changed tho. Otherwise, the car is a beauty and a beast
Amazing.. unfortunate they didn't make any upgrades to the back seat accoutrements. ..like, zero. Like $300 more per car wouldn't have covered it? But, I digress. Love the color. I Otherwise, yes, incredible. Very happy they kept the physical A/C controls.
Personally I prefer the squareish tips on these cars. I’ve seen them with aftermarket tips and exhaust and the round just doesn’t look right on these imo.
Much better than the new BMW M5, because all new BMWs are designed primarily for Chinese tastes and preferences, which means there is no BMW spirit left.
I did, earlier this year. Got my ‘23 in late ‘22. Sold it after a lot of content with the car and bought a Demon 170. Very different flavor of American muscle, obviously, but fun in its own way.
Just because I had exhausted my coverage of the car (for content), and needed room and funds for the Demon 170. I miss the car, to be honest, and might want to buy it back one day!
I love this vehicle but a few issues. It needs all wheel drive. Too much power is involved for just a rear wheel drive car. The back will kick out constantly and you’ll have Traction problems. Also compared to the competitors in this category, the gas mileage is terrible for the black wing. How come the Germans can have higher horsepower cars with better gas mileage
The new color is gorgeous
It is!
That's first thing gorgeous colour shame we don't get this in the UK.
so happy they are still making these in manual, a lot of others competitors are falling out of the whole manual transmission but i am all for it, i love it and makes the car feel so much more raw.
Agreed, and with a great (Tremec) manual at that!
This design and interior is much better
Honestly I prefer the old front end but I feel like this will grow on people
Certainly, especially as time goes on and people forget how the old front looked
I like the previous too. This is way overstyled to me
Yea but this new interior is way better then the previous, just that alone i rather have the new model.
Nothing is going to look as good as the CTS-V
Most accurate comment
Love the new updates on the exterior and interior. The “stacked” projectors are more traditionally aligned with the CTS design.
So glad they kept the buttons for the basic things

For real just by a m5 at that point 😂

The older front design is MUCH better than this one, in my opinion. New one looks like a KISS member that put on green and black instead of white.
and they slapped a surfboard onto the dash.

It's beautiful, inside and out.
This need to be imported to Australia NOW!!! 😍😍😍
I know these are different price ranges and styles but would you go with a Porsche Panamera or ct5-v bw as a daily?
I might have missed it, but are they pumping the engine sound in through the speakers?
I like this new infotainment system compared to the old one
It's quicker and prettier, yea
Absolutely perfect
14:56 better steering feel on-road with or without the precision package?

I agree!
Does clicking v mode once turn off traction control?
lol the sticker on the dash to hide the speed. Man taking notes from MKBHD’s backlash.

Make an updated video of the Aventador SVJ roadster, of course if you can.
Definitely trying to compete with the G80 M3 with that color combo. But does look nice

weird nitpick: is there no volume knob in the Manual transmission model?? it is nowhere to be seen...
