Have been watching Adam and Khiara on the shakedown of the kraken 50 in Turkey, fantastic footage showcasing an amazing yacht, loved watching Dick talk about his passion and development of these beautiful craft. Well done to Adam and Khiara.
I like the yacht a lot, and this founder/designer is so likeable I want to buy from him. He seems like an experienced sailor who built exactly what he wanted, and completely believes in what he’s created. If only I had the resources, I’d buy this boat.
I would say each boat is "Personalized" to their owner. The attention to detail and mixture of style and use in these vessels is very well thought out.
Hi Penn, I spent time on her last week - she really is a beauty, and yes, you can tell that Krakens are built with pride. Hope your boat is coming along!
@@ukrainewarroom it is, I took the last few weeks taking care of things around the house. I'm looking forward to seeing one if these in person one day. I am hoping one day to see them build a boat under the 40' mark, a little more budget friendly size for the long-term costs from all I've gathered.

Ever since I began hearing what Beaumont has to say about blue water sailing, and the way Kraken boats are designed and constructed, my opinion on large boats changed completely. Kraken boats began making so much sense, and all others so little sense.
Hello, please see below average heights for the K50. We do have options to increase if necessary :) Aft Cabin - 1.92 m (6.3ft) Galley - 1.97 m (6.5ft) Main Saloon - 2.385 m (7.8ft) average Forward Cabin - 2.0 m (6.6ft)

I am enamoured with those cabinet latches. I saw them on Sailing Millenial Falcon's chanel. As Dick pointed out, they are NOT the push button type which I also hate. I found them online somewhere, but have now lost the link. Is there any possibility you could share the model number or the manufacturer so I can look them up to learn more about them?
I don't work for Kraken but have drooled over these videos enough to know that their target audience with these is couples so yes, they can be run with 2.
The base boat price for a K50 is 979,000 EUR. This however does come with equipment and systems as standard such as air conditioning, bow thruster, fuel polishing system, generator, water maker, solent rig etc.
@@KrakenYachts so basically the same as a 500,000 euro base boat, with an extra typically 450,000 euro "option list" to actually make it seaworthy and comfortable to the standard youd really want. Considering what you get standard here and the finishing level.... thats really quite reasonable.
@@Taugtaug for what you're getting thats pretty "affordable". For people considering one this is a house replacement, and when looked at it that way, its VERY affordable compared to house prices atm.
10:28 You spend so much to buy a Kraken 50 and you limit your budget for a washing machine to a Bosch one. Let's see how long it will last. I'll tell you one thing, it will be hell of a work to take it out of there to get it repaired and eventually replaced...
@4:10 ~ Great boat. But I don’t see the solution for a leeboard in the middle so two people can really sleep there even more easy. I have seen it done and at least one boat seemingly very easy in the middle. And I love listening to this designer on different channels including millennial falcon.

More great storage, well done. As a tall person I am interested to know what the head height is in the various areas of the yacht?

When is the cockpit and deck video coming? Also does the 6 berth option sacrifice the forward sail locker?

Hello :) Thanks for your comment. The latches are made by www.razetocasareto.com/. Let us know if you have any other questions.
For the price they should make it look more luxurious inside. It would definitely help it sell better.
Can you make the cabin with a single bed into a double bed cabin?
Can your flagship yacht be short handed?

There is an option to have an additional leeboard in the middle of the berth with a split mattress. This can be removed and stored under the mattress
