I bought one yesterday! After extenuating research, I reched the conclusion that they are the best compromise between monitoring and enjoyment purposes under 100$. And they're low impedance so they don't necessarily need an amp. It's such a sweetspot

I listened to every Grado headphone with $1000 to spend, not knowing their prices. Walked out with SR60e + G-Cush pads. I have DT1990PRO, Q701, HD599, and many more. I'm currently using the Koss KPH-30i + G-Cush over everything lol.

It is a matter of I watch all my videos afterwards and write out the lists. Then get all the links. This 50 minute video cost me like 5 hours of my life.
I still have two pairs that are on the wall. I'm sad to see the Retros are gone. 😢

Which one is your fav for detailed Audiophile music?
@@IOIO6 the takstars for sure, they are closer to a flat line than the blons, very close to the t2 in sound signature and are quite accurate (t2 is kind of sibilant sometimes though, that's why I sold them). Blons are nice to listen to though, they have a bit more bass, which makes some music more enjoyable. The good thing about it is that it's not too much bass, so I get enjoyable sound no matter the music (and I am a flat line kind of guy).
Edit: I think that me finding the sibilance on t2 bothersome might have something to do with me being autistic. I easily find myself slightly annoyed by high pitched noises.

As a biased Klipsch HP-3 owner: I agree wholeheartedly with your summary of the headphone. I threw in a balanced cable from Forza Audioworks in Poland and now they're just amazing.
What amp you are using with your hp-3's?
@@crispezz Using the Klipsch Heritage Amp right now. When I bought the headphones the amp had a reduced price so I thought "Why not?". Turns out it's a solid Amp/DAC combo for the price.
I have 10 headphones and I believe you've reviewed all of them but the 2 I use the most now are the Sundara and HP-3 (with the Avia thrown in from time to time). I try to listen to most of them but the Sundara and HP-3 are my go to headphones when I just want to sit back and zone out.
I'm not sure why I really like your headphone wall videos, I have watched your 2018 one at least 3 times.

They are only 6" wide. Most heads are 8"+ .. So they are fine.

I have the fostex t-60rp since nearly 2 years and love them. The timbre/texture of the sound is what I love about them the most. The electric guitar sound is so granular and so good. Bass is enough but not too much. Need to explore pads.
Those MMX 300's are superb. Love them

Hey z, you can get lambskin pads for the Acoustic Research AR-h1 on ebay. The ones I got are a tiny bit thicker than the stock pads. They need to be attached with adhesive. Make sure the adhesive seals all the way around and they make the AR-h1 sound actually amazing
I have like 3 pairs of Koss already so its' cool to find another affordable pair to check out. I remember these $10 black ones that they used to sell alongside the Porta-Pro at Sears back in the day, never got a pair and I kinda regret it.
Then there's me with a $15 earbuds that have one bud broken.
I have the audio-technica ath-ad1000x. It was a difficult choice, but your review swung it.

I bought two Kph30i for myself and a friend for Christmas thru yaxi on both. Mine broke! I used the drivers in an old rig gaming headset they sound much better now. Order x2hr for wide and open. Ordered the pandas. For closed portable. Thank you z love your channel I watch everyday and will join patron when I figure out the rest of my corona purchases! Sorry Iff tt s taking so long I really wanna join just so we can chat! I just bought some vintage kenwood speakers 4 way 6 driver ugly kabuki style and love them haha.

@Z Reviews - I have the M40x's with the ZMF Cowhide Pads and I love them. I haven't used them in quite a while because I love my Elex's more... but I do use them once in a while still (I.E. when the neighbors are on their dirtbikes and such).

While not HD, the converter hooks to that CRT for instant response.
I love this channel. 🙌🏼 Truly. Especially when he starts making stuff up. (31:40) Those are metal no big deal that’s easy to forget and hard to tell but the grills are arranged like that so each and every hole is a different size. This makes it far less likely for their to be any kind of audible chuffing as air moves past the holes as well as any one certain frequency that may resonate due to whistling form holes that would usually be the same size. Now whether or not that’s an issue 🤷🏻♂️ doubt it. But that fostex’s intentions for the design 😂😂😂 you crack me up dude 🤣... the sr60e is so worth 80 bucks. they are the most open sounding headphone i have ever used and they just surprised me with their overall sound quality.

Picked up a pair of the Klipsch HP3s in peanut butter like yours. They were darker than I expected.
Darker in color or darker sounding? They are a laid back exciting pair if that makes sense. WHICH IT DOESN'T.

I got Sony 😬😅 XB 950b1 and Xb450 and for earphone i got the XB75Ap. Guess i fell pretty hard for this Sony XB series.
Which headset would you suggest as a stay home daily driver for music, movies and casual gaming. Something with great bass. My Shure and Focals are detailed and warm/bright. No gaming headset I have a desk mic.

Probably the BL03, but that needs tip and cable change to get to it's full potential. Urbanfun makes some nice ones to.
@@petervanderham4725 Exactly. Agreed. I was all set to buy Blon 03 and suddenly one day my mind changed. I have listened to KZ ZST and I agree to what you said. The highs are harsh. too much sibilance. But the reviews were positive about the 10 PRO so went for it. hope they sound good. As you said Blon need double flanged tips and a constant adjustment with comfort.

@@ZReviews I've taken a lot of recommendations from you though, and what I've learned from you that has proved most valuable is experimenting with swapping out ear pads. My Audeze Sine sounded too lean and just terrible to me. I swapped out the pads for a set of sheepskin over ear cushions and they're now my favorites. (balanced cable not the cipher)
Is the shp9500 still a good headphone to buy in 2020?

You do need to mod KPH30i unfortunately. I can't wear them for more than an hour without starting to feel them. That aside, get a pair, for IEM's I love the Blon BL-03 (new BL-05 look very promising also). Boom, your set.
