Your video was in my feed and I just wanted to add my two cents. I'm an avid fountain pen user and have several Pilot VP. I received this pen just a few days ago and I think it's a decent novelty pen. I know it's not comparable to the Pilot VP or even the Platinum Curidas (I don't have one so can't really speak about that one), but it's definitely perfect for a beginner or anyone who doesn't want to spend over $150 for a fountain pen. Writes smooth and love the dark black ink. Did bleed through certain papers I've tried, but not the Pen and Gear memo book...just ghosting. I have the purple.

The ability to highlight over it is a property from the ink, not the pen. Don't be surprised if you use other ink in the Writech and it smears if you try to highlight over it.
I totally understand. That is probably why I won’t be using another ink in it.
@@tayloredplan There are inks you can highlight over. My favorites are Platinum Carbon Black and Sailor Kiwaguro. Deatramentis Document Black is good too but for some reason it's not really my favorite. There's nothing wrong with it though.

@@tayloredplan Noodler's Black bulletproof is known to be highly water resistant so I would assume it would work with highlighters as well but I haven't tried myself

I was nervous about the cap too. It really didn’t bother me at all after I started writing.
I brought the same pen. I enjoyed it so much that I went back and bought the pink one.

What a cool fountain pen! My criteria is: does it write smooth and reliably lol. It's always such a bonus when a fountain pen is low cost AND writes trouble free!!!!❤
I like the way it writes. It depends on the paper you use and the amount of pressure you put on the pen. I would say it is worth the try.

This is the first video I'm seeing of this pen. I'm so intrigued and the fact there is a purple option I'm sold. The writech pen you say that is your favorite is mine as well.

Nice new pen from writech, I think I’ll try it out. I use the Majohn all the time and don’t have a problem with ink drying, been using it over a year now, mine is an ef. I got it to compare to my Decimo, never smeared, and no problem with drying in my Hobonichi weeks. I use an ef nib and have never used blotting paper. I think maybe because I use the ef nib. Mine pair nicely together and never had any problems, so to say they don’t pair well together is wrong, they do just fine and drying time for me has never been an issue.
I appreciate you sharing your experience with the Majohn! I do love mine but mine does smear. Maybe the difference is the fine vs EF. I’m not too sure but I hope you like the Writech one if you end up trying it!
Help!!!!!!! I just bought this pen, I love it! 5 refills came with the pen, but after that, refills? Where in the heck do you get them from? This is great for a starting fountain pen, I have several other more expensive fountain pens, but wanted to try this for Zentangle and it is great but again........refills
Hello!! I have had a few friends tell me they just refill the cartridges with their own ink. Let me do some digging and see if Writech will be offering refills!
