This video is criminaly underrated. I love silent hill 2 and cinematography overall too and you combined and explained both perfectly in this video. I hope you'll get more attention.
Loving these Silent Hill videos. Speaking of silence, the game does such a good job conditioning you to the radio static, and then taking it away from you for that elevator part.
Something else I love is how the game uses color. Most of the environments are bleak and drab as hell with occasional pops of really vibrant color, James' jacket, Maria's outfit, the carpet in the knife scene with Angela, blood spilled on pavement etc. It's not something I've seen brought up anywhere but it always seemed intentional to me and something I really love :)
I would like to add that the overhead framing of Eddie, and the fact that in multiple scenes Eddie is sitting while James is standing, emphasizes the idea that Eddie feels everyone is always looking down on him.
God, I'd love to see them remake this with updated graphics and exactly almost the same as the original like they did with the Resident Evil remake(2002)
dayvin408 that would be great. I think the dialogue could use some updating and to be honest they could improve the gameplay and I’d still be happy as long as it’s third person and the story is intact.

It’s a cue from David lynch and twin peaks. The clothing is out of place adding to the feeling of uncanny surrealism

Spot on! And sadly Eddie dies faceless just a fat body, exactly what he was made fun to be.
