What you said about the use of chemicals and abuse of mother earth through animal goods production is so important. We need a voice of reason like yours more than ever now, please continue to say what you think because I believe you are one of the only people brave enough to talk about things like this on their platform. I know making videos can be tiring after so long, but consider how important it is that you're sharing your ideas and lifestyle within a wotld that needs it badly. What youve said about Goddess permaculture is completeley revolutionary, and honestly, just being able to stept into Bealtaine Cottage from my New York city apartment has made all the difference in the world for me these past years, thank you!!!! 🍀🌻🙏🏼🌸
Thank you for expressing your thoughts and feelings so beautifully and passionately. I have wanted to tell Colette what you have as well but never managed to put my feelings into words as you have. I have also thought she might get weary of making her videos and I would feel an incredible loss if she did. You know, I have watched Marianne Williamson because she too provides a message of hope in this shitty country of ours. But she doesn't even come close to Colette. Her message and connection to the Earth is profound and ineffable and devoid of ego.
I was telling my husband about you and what you've accomplished. Our beagle was sound asleep during my explanation lounging in my chair. I said, "And I love Jack her dog!" Well our beagle raised up and gave me such a look. It was like he knew exactly what I said.
You are such a breath of fresh air and an inspiration to all!!! yes, we get to whine and moan about what is happening to the planet and it would behoove us to focus on how to do it differently at least in our little corner of the world and they will thrive!!! You work hard Colette!!! God Bless!
Bealtaine Cottage fills my soul with joy! Your voice gently guiding us all trough the magic and magnificence of life as it simply and beautifuly unfolds in every small and perfect detail of Mother Nature is a blessing dear Colette! Take care and stay safe at your blessed place! Virtual big hug! Marcela
Bravo!! Oh, but it does look awesome! Treat yourself dear lady! U have out done yourself, a job well done! I can see your vision for the space and im excited to see your progress. I hope u can take us along your journey to completion. Have a very blessed day. Stay safe and well both u and sir jack.
As I'm rearranging things about the yard and planting more i just keep hoping one day my yard will look like yours. 2 black currants 3 blueberries and 2 chestnuts so far. My forsythia, curly willow, black berries, weigelia from last year are doing great!!!
@@naturenirvana1 thanks so much. I want to do videos and share because there are no inspirational video from here, but I get nervous and sound stupid. Lol
I'm so glad you are going to leave the space open. It will be stunning laid out as you describe. I can just picture bluebells, honesty and spring bulbs spreading back under the tree's, and the fernery to the side. Bless your energy and vision.
We got to the gutters , downspouts, and screens today. Tomorrow will finish up the windows and top off the raised beds. A wintry mix will pounce on us the Saturday , so we are enjoying the sunshine while we can. The inherited lilac hedge has the biggest buds I have ever seen on it , been trimming and pruning it for years. It had just run wild and was strangling itself. I cannot wait to see the bloom! Next week, we can sew a few lettuce rows in the raised beds. Daffs are just beginning here,
Loved when you talked to the beautiful bee. I talk to the insects and birds all the time. I feel like we are all working together in my garden. 😊💕. Cant wait to see how your “little” project comes along.
Good morning voice of reason 🤗 I shall be sitting in my egg chair in my sons beautiful garden watching your video’s listening to the Birds and thinking how lucky 🍀 I was to come across your channel you have such a calming effect on your subscribers thank you for that xx kiss for jack
Oh, Colette you have created a paradise. The videos and photos are so appreciated in this time of stay at home isolation. Better to be safe than sorry. Stay safe, ❤️ to you and Jack. Tomorrow it is back to my gardening. Mother Earth is healing. YES!
You certainly have my mind busy!! I am thinking if I could find a few other like minded people to go in with me on buying a piece of land about 5 acres and do this exact thing....oh how I would be in heaven!!! I was thinking 3 tiny houses on the land (which are movable) I would be just in my height of glory!! I am already working on my "yard" this year. Planning on some black berry canes a bit of bamboo and a few other shrubs. I took cuttings of my forsythia hoping they will root! Your joy just spills through the screen as does the joy of mamma earth!! Thank you so much for what you do, and you may or may not realize just how calming your videos are and especially at this moment in time. Brightest blessings to you and Jack!!
You're my new best friend ~ I watch you or have you on all day - Your calm voice and your sweet heart keeps life full of love & light in my tiny house.. Much Love to you
YAY!!!! Oh, Colette, I am so happy you are keeping the landscape open to enjoy the lovely view...I was so hoping you would...Goddess blessings to you and yours....Jack you are always beautiful and such a joy...stay safe, stay strong, stay healthy
Thank You. Your voice kept coming through about the seeds. Which I managed to find a source for in the right time. I have since been growing seedlings. Now I feel more grounded: oh no, the g word. Anyway after remembering to name them with paddle pop sticks they are now beginning to thrive. Since the el ninia hit after the fires it means that we have had regular rain which means no watering. Things are beginning to show their faces, flower and soon hopefully we will have some produce. I dropped seeds around, goodness knows how many, so there will be some surprises as well. Good timing as all the seeds have all but disappeared off the shelves. Which is why i am getting more conscious about the process so i can sell or gift them. Once again thanks the timing was perfect and we too are baking, cooking, singing, reading and gardening our way through this time. Enjoy your sharing as well as the others from Wales, Britian. Best Wishes to you all.
I have been meaning to tell you how much I like the new look of your vlog. And let’s not forget our friend Jack who always makes me smile. Blessings to you!
Your words about one thing you can control is your diet..... I need to take better care of myself..... it's what I can control..... it's up to each of us ♡ I'm so in love with your videos and the life blossoming forth with each one. You inspire me ♡ you deeply deeply inspire me. I can do better for the land I am on, the nature that's here and for myself ♡♡♡ beautiful ♡
Hello Colette. I came across your Videos 2 years ago. I absolutely love getting lost in your garden. I reside in Victoria Australia and will be following your Videos intently with my daughter as she is so keen to grow food and adores her Plants. I love see your beautiful Dog, romping through the garden and being a part of the series. I remember Puss appearing in a few Videos. The birds chirping are just so beautiful. Thankyou for inviting us into your World.
Colette, I sent your wonder video to all my children, friends etc. So inspiring as usual. To wechat for my son in Beijing, to my daughter in Colorado, on my Facebook wall, lol. Thank you as always for sharing your wonderful lifestyle with us, your words of wisdom and encouragement. Blessings & love to you & Jack. Hugs XXXOOO
Good afternoon to you Colette and thank you again for the superb video and your comments are always interesting . I do agree with your comment on Facebook. Stopped using that site a few years ago now. Dear me some monsters on keyboards out there that's for sure . Enough of that , I have a few trees in my garden and shrubs etc, and watching the changes everyday gives me so much ,just to sit and be as one within my garden with Mother Earth and her perfumes and sounds of the birds chattering the bees humming etc all arrived so suddenly in the past week ,, I enjoy all of the seasons each one has a different meaning and feeling but there is nothing like the spring sunshine and pleasure of seeing all the colours as pure and bright each year. Nothing can copy Mother Earths palette. Hugs and blessings on this fine afternoon , to you and Jack . Ps. We have so much to be in gratitude for .. 🌞🌞
So much happening, so much excitement and all the hard work! Loved view from the tunnel plastic towards West, looked like a beautiful frame of painting. Loved the new view of the cleared corner, feels like one is peeping at an enchanting jungle further away. The every day miracles of Mother Earth, which we witness thanks to you. Also grateful for words of wisdom. 💚💕💚
Love the new woodland vista. As soon as you turned around to show the view I thought you need a lovely bench there. What a beautiful place to sit and drink your morning brew. Blessings to you and Jack 💚xxx
watching your videos is making me so antsy to get outside and to get my garden started. we are ready for the beautiful ruby-throated hummingbirds that have been migrating north here in the US and I am going to get my feeders ready for their arrival. Your videos are a breath of fresh air to me especially now during this pandemic. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home and life
Ooh, you want a firepit, but a piece of furniture? My parents have one of those on their back patio that we love to use. It's handy to have a cover for it so that it doesn't rust out because of the rain - the bottom of our old one rusted out because we'd occasionally forget to move it onto the covered patio from the yard. Thank you so much for the videos you make!! I've been loving watching them for the past several years and you've inspired me to start a small garden of my own at my rented house!
Hi Colette and Jack what a nice surprise to get a video from you today yes my husband I agree with you on the chemicals in the fertilizer. Also having the benches is a good idea and you were either talking about a fire rring or a chiminea.💚
How exciting..your new space, and you chose ferns! Lovely! I just bought a new wooden bench. Did my research and chose a sustainable eucalyptus bench. Just finished the first coat of natural linseed oil just to keep its colour. The world is changing and for the better. I hope it keeps it's momentum.
I enjoyed a beautiful ruby throated humming bird flitin n humming around me yesterday in the garden, as I cleaned and filled their fountain. It was as if it knew I was a friendly inhabitant.
I usualy like to start my day with one of your videos for the sheer nurishment of all the greenery and animal live. Thank you for sharing. May you be blessed!
Thanks for sharing and could taste the rhubarb as my mother use to make a spring tonic from the young stalks and later on rhubarb pie 🥧. Spring in your area is so beautiful and my favorite for today’s video was the bumblebee 🐝 could hear her buzz away🙈
A lovely garden you have made. I have a suggestion for rooting some of the pruning pieces put deep in ground and They will put on roots for more Rose bushes ..leave them for several months best but in shade and with your green thumb They should root..HAPPY GARDENING FROM FLORIDA....
Thank you for this lovely video. I have some roses that I dare not move but now you have given me a bit more confidence to have a go !! Colette please do not listen to the news too much.... We are in the middle of a Mass Hysteria of the Mind which is leading to people developing physical symptoms because of their fear. The messages we ingest through what we read, hear or watch really do effect our health.. This has been well documented down the years and I never thought I would see it on this massive scale in my lifetime. So you will be fine....how can you not be? In all your wonderfulness... So be it....with love & light to you x
I was so amazed that you have a Rosa Rugosa Collette! It has unique medicinal properties. The area where the playhouse was looks so beautiful cleared, you made a good decision by removing it. I love your idea of the two wooden benches and the fire bucket being placed in that location. Superb! We call them 'fire buckets" here in Australia. Thank you for sharing all of the wonderful information about your woodlands, especially speaking up about chemicals and the effect they have on Mother Earth! You are a true earth warrior and we all can learn to find our voices just like you. Bless.
Happy Full Moon Colette✨🌛🌝🌜✨ You are such an inspiration in your creativity. I am thinking of Wisteria myself this year. It is so magical to see those beautiful trailing flowers. It creates a magic all of its own. ✨Blessings to All For Health, peace filled Clarity of mind in these trying times✨
Wow! That is a lot of froggies coming up for bug /mosquito control which is a good thing. I'm hoping to get my little pond in this year and work on getting the frogs back that were here when I moved in 33 years ago. Fingers crossed.
Great spot now then for some perennial veggies too. And even more pretty cottage garden bits like the other stone beds. I'm sure whatever you do, it will be amazing!
I just watched this video, it’s October 2022 now and I’m in Cornwall, I totally agree with your rant about Chemical Fertiliser, we get a lot of animal waste spread on the fields around where I live , so hopefully we are using less of the Chemical stuff. It’s lovely that you are doing all you can to promote the health of the earth and the more people who do that give hope that all will be well . I grow my food in my garden without Chemicals and I don’t dig the soil I add homemade compost each year , so in my small way I’m trying to do my bit for my health and the planets.
Done pretty much the same thing with one of our huge roses. Cut it back and then replanted it. Unfortunately I can't access my compost right now, as there are 2 hedgehogs still hibernating in the heap...and...a nest of baby field mice too!! so I chopped up a couple of banana skins and added them to the hole along with a sprinkling of Epsom salts, before planting the rose. Hopefully this will benefit its growth :)
your like a kindred spirit! your lifestyle , choice of decor, knicknacks is exactly my choice. I have a beautiful cat instead of a dog but otherwise ......wow! Thank you for your channel from Vancouver Island in Canada
Please do everything you can, physical distancing, washing your hands, and everything else so that you avoid contracting the Corona virus. Love your cottage and gardens, just beautiful. Love hearing the spring songbirds, and all the rest of it.
Beautiful view. Imagine Autumn wow.. Yes a chimney and seating will be lovely I think a stone circle surrounding it would be beautiful nothing large just some rocks. Enjoy great progress x
Fire bowl & benches, ferns- Loving your plans!! That standing stone shows now too! Rose cuttings for new plants too. The whole place has transformed with chicken house gone. xo
I moved a climbing rose even bigger than yours in the Spring with success. She had to travel for an hour on winding roads up the mountain and down again into a woodland garden. I made sure she was saturated thoroughly with water daily unless we had a heavy rainfall. She put out new growth and even surprised me with some blooms! I think your lass (or lad ?) will make it! Colette...I think this Global Reset is going to change a lot of the damage that has been done here on Mother Earth. We will see things differently. This is definitely going to be a mass "awakening". As uncomfortable as this all is....just like a mother going through labor pains during childbirth....there will be so much good and beauty as a result. When I saw your new cleared area, I thought "oh, to have one of those adjustable recliners there to recline on with your feet up for a rest while you took in your new view would be wonderful". A very zen meditative place...but then is there any place at Bealtaine Cottage that isn't a zen meditative space! Love and blessings! Karen from Washington State, U.S.
Seaweed is a common food here. There are so many kinds. We use kombu as a base for soups and stock. Many other seaweed in salads which are not smelly but delicious with vinaigrette. Dry seaweed is a topping for salads soups couscous. As you know so little couscous is needed to made a large meal with protein etc. so as you say nutrition is such a key part of our health. Good health to you.
Happy full moon to you Colette from the new meadow, great view there. Very upbeat video and great for me. Started a healing venture on my heart valve please send an intention for healing. No doctors so going back to mother earth for healing of Mitral valve. Wish I had a puppy to help with this as they always do great healing.
Some upright posts in a semi circle with a rail around the top planted with Honeysuckle could be nice with a fire bowl in the center,,the fragrance in the evening would be wonderful . Blessings x
I just thought of something. I don’t remember seeing your circle of stones area in a while. I remember people were sending prayer flags for you to hang. I love that part of the property. I was thinking maybe we could start a prayer circle again sending in more flags and you could read them aloud to help raise the vibration of the collective consciousness. Helping people ground themselves with Mother Earth at this time. I think it will help people understand that this is a time to visualize ourselves in a way that we want to see ourselves as we move through this shift . I don’t believe we are all going to catch the virus. .That is just part of the fearpandenic. But it is very important we have a healthy diet and keep our immune systems healthy with a powerful eating and exercising as a way of life. I know we are more powerful than most can fathom. The prayer circle is a powerful tool. We are moving forward to a new beginning. We are powered by the Devine Energy that is coming through. A very powerful energy. It’s all in the stars. Just an idea.

NEVER apologize for a rant! You are absolutely right! We so appreciate you. 👍🦋
A beautiful clover patch in that site would look great and easy to mow.

Your videos are always so calming! I love all of the bird song in the background!

Beautiful video as always xx thanks for sharing
fire basket. Mathew from liverpool. thanks for sharing so much natural beuty.
That view is like an unexpected gift! 😀🌱🌱🌱
It's exciting to see new space appear in the garden when man made structures are removed.
your like a kindred spirit! your lifestyle , choice of decor, knicknacks is exactly my choice.
Love the tadpoles!!!! 🦋
I agree, that area is too beautiful to hide! Fire bowl may be what you seek. Sounds perfect! And so true about our diet and health! 😉🇨🇦
I totally agree with the fire pit idea. You can still keep the area more on the natural side and enjoy the space even more. Sounds lovely!
Loved the video, thank you. 😊🙏🏻🌲🌱🌷🌹🌸 Hope your rose wil survive 🤞🏻🍀
Beautiful video many thanks x
Space!! Light! Beauty!
You inspire me to do more with my 10 acres in Vermont!!
Oh the sight of the tadpoles made me Smile .
I can picture your plan for the sitting area! I had the same idea when you first showed it. Perfect place for a cup of coffee!

You are an extraordinary Human Being, you have an heaven o earth and that is precious. Don't let bad people to get you, ignore them.
PS......Tumeric is another beneficial spice! Take care♥️
Fire ring. Hahah, you make me smile so many times.
I thought you were going to say thank goodness I ate all that cake for energy 😂 I’ve been eating far to much cake during my lockdown gardening 😋
Love the delight with the working bumblebee--made me laugh too!
