Just finished pulling up the pavers in my tiny back patio and putting soil down so we could plant. Didn’t realize how much food we could get back there! Fig, lemon & pear trees. My daughter planted pumpkins, watermelons, turnips, beets, potatoes and more! Birds and bees are coming! It’s amazing and so very happy. Mother Nature works perfectly if we’d just let her get on with it! Hugs to you & Sir Jack❤️
I received my book & calendar this week. Only took couple of weeks to make it to the U.S. The calendar has place of pride over my desk and saving the book for this weekend when I can give it my full attention. The photography in both is inspirational and especially because Good Boy Jack is featured in many shots. Thanks so much!

I plant as much as I can in my average size city lot and it gives me much joy when others stop and say they love my gardens and even the children love to look at the flowers. Such joy we can give others and ourselves by just trying to bring beauty and a sense of peace by planting a little bit of heaven while we are here on earth.

Isn't it interesting, the wide range of emotions Bealtaine Cottage gardens and woodlands have evoked in all the people commenting? Evidence of our deep primal response to and need for a connection with Nature and the Mother.
I love and am inspired by how you say “I just plant, I just plant” and that some things are in the “right places and some in the wrong places” This comforts me! We just moved to our home at the start if last winter, first home we get to “own”..small bit of land..I think maybe...a little less than half acre altogether with the house...(feels masssive to us haha) anyways..I want to plant and sometimes feel like “I don’t know what to plant and where and when and why” hahaha but...who cares....I’ll give it a go :) I have blue spruce seeds in dirt in my sun room and a lavender plant waiting for the last frost...whenever that is...and packs of nasturtium seeds 😂 quite the hodge podge but I don’t care..I’m going to plant!!!!!!!!!!! 💚💚💚💚

My dad and gran could just throw seeds onto rocky soil and produce a lush garden. I worry entirely to much about planning, placement, etc. I'm trying to be more carefree and intuitive with it. Bealtaine Cottage and grounds are stunning right now!
If Mother Nature even co-operates with those poor tortured formal garden(er)s, then this life with Colette is like constant fun time spent with a like-minded mad friend! The equivelent for Her of pub time after a bit of recreational shopping (and finding some Vivienne Westwood treasures).

I loved seeing your cottage when you first acquired it from the end or your driveway before you changed the porch to wood and planted such beautiful gardens and trees. Can you please take a similar video from the end of your driveway how it looks now or at least step some feet back from the house and film so I can see what the cottage looks like now with all the surrounding flowers and plants. The close ups are beautiful but I would love to see how the cottage looks in the distance...I love your channel....

I love that you use a push mower. I had one years ago that I bought new. I loved it! Great exercise and it reminded me of my Dad and my Brother mowing our grass with an old one when I was little. I always think I hear a cat purring during your videos, but I guess it's your camera running. So enjoying your videos from here in Central Texas, where it is too hot to garden much this time of year. I try to get out for an hour or so in the early mornings before the sun starts to bake everything. Thank you for sharing your charming life with us!

This spring i have bought 28 young shrub plants which i shall keep in pots until they are bigger and i am waiting for the delivery of a 5ft Birch tree. I get so much inspiration from watching your videos. Everything is looking so lush in your garden.
Its hard to believe this is the same house, driveway and garden. Well done. Looking to do somewhat the same, but I dont have the gardening skills, so I have to learn as I go. When you mention the plants and trees, I stop the video and google it. Love the clematis. Have to check if it can thrive here.
Viburnum opulus..snowball bush...amazing, after just a few days (and no rain) the abundance keeps intensifying...like being in an aviary and..a cuckoo!
