    I've had a couple of email exchanges with Troy over 2 rules. In both cases he agreed that I was right but he fought tooth and nail to discount the problems. Instead of saying "Hey, this guy identified a problem with the rules and gave us a way to fix it and make it simpler and more understandable." He told me the problems were not a big deal and I just wanted to cause trouble. In one of the cases a rule change is coming (he begrudgingly addressed it on a podcast) and the other case he told me to pound sand. After agreeing that I had a valid point. For some reason he defends the rules as written like a change to a rule is a personal attack on him. I don't get it.

    The rules are suppose to maintain fairness and competitive integrity. The only reason to ban something is because it gives an infair advantage. Shooting a Flux Raider against JP-5s is a massive disadvantage for the Flux shooter. Just because Troy is stuck think that handgun conversion kits are limited to Magtech uppers for 1911s doesnt mean he can disallow the Flux(which when SBRed complies with all NROI rules)

      I have a hard time understanding how a flux would be any sort of advantage to a full size pcc. I haven’t competed yet, but no one buys a flux because it is better than a full size gun, they get it because it’s the most compact option that still gives some of the benefits. Why would anyone care about that?

    • @DJG37S
      @DJG37S 10 วันที่ผ่านมา

      People who buy flux to compete are dumb. Why? Because as a rifle shooter/PCC you want an actual rifle trigger like a hiper fire, you want a setup like a jp5 delay roller or mean arms bearing delay. I find it funny how the whole flux thing turned into this. I would have been like ok, come shoot it at the PCC nationals and get destroyed by people actually using a carbine setup.

    • @BenfromFlux
      @BenfromFlux 9 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@DJG37S well, you’re lacking a critical piece of information. I am unaware of anyone buying a Raider specifically to compete.
      I am the midget that they speak of - I co-designed the Raider with my business partner, and I compete with the smoll version that I appendix carry every day.
      I reached 93%, almost GM, within a few months. I thought it would be awesome to demonstrate the capability and usefulness, as well as a wonderful meme.
      I got very busy with business, and then Troy stopped me from progressing further.
      I beat him through a vote of the BOD and was able to come back just in time to compete at Utah State. Unfortunately, my stupid 30 round promags shit the bed, resulting in lots of nose-dives, tanking my score.
      Fortunately, still placed 2nd in M class, 7th in PCC, beat a couple GMs, one of which uses a JP5, the very best PCC.
      Placed 5th overall on the very first stage, which I was very cold, not having practiced for a while. Placed 7th overall on the last stage.
      I’ll stop rambling, but the point is:
      I didn’t buy a Raider to compete with, I designed the Raider to be used in real life, which it is by many, including various SOF.
      I competed with the Raider to demonstrate that while it’s only a third of the size and weight, carried appendix by me, it’s able to keep up with the best PCCs. Maybe not beat them most of the time, but it’s a weapon, not a toy/race gun, in my pants with a subsecond draw, what I carry every day.
      Cheers, and hopefully this detail changes your assessment.

      @@douglasmilburn3875 yeah, it’s rarely overall an advantage. It definitely has certain advantages (speed in tight spaces) but overall is a disadvantage in competition.

    The p320 can go off without input from the user because the design of the striker, when you rack the slide on a sig it’s like pulling the hammer back on a revolver, the trigger is primed to go, that’s why sigs have decent triggers, but in Glocks, pulling the trigger actually completes the cocking of the striker, and that’s why Glock triggers are mediocre. Sig wanted a good trigger so they went without a trigger dingus and a fully cocked striker, now whether or not they knew it would cause issues is a different question and now they can’t admit if it they knew the trade off for performance was vs safety was discussed or debated in the design, they took a p250 and removed the hammer and called it a 320, so they might have kept the striker from the 250 that had was fully cocked when the hammer went back but didn’t change any other design on it.
