Clever Camouflage in Birds

Many birds have adapted to blending in with their backgrounds and being almost invisible to predators or to the prey they are sneaking up on. They make use of CONCEALED COLOURATION (background matching), DISTRUPTIVE COLOURATION, DISGUISE (an owl looking like a tree trunk), COUNTERSHADING and even OLFACTORY CAMOUFLAGE.
