Improvisation 63: Why does the moon shine?

A fairly obvious answer
The moon shines
As the sun shines
It is a reflection
Of the day gone behind us.
But still I wonder,
Why does a beautiful sight,
So high in the sky,
Shine for you and me?
If in the mind, it does feel so dreary?
Then comes,
The wintery clouds
To hide away
It's beautiful shine
And spread the world
With icy spines
Of snow.
It is but a cold winter ahead,
and I'm not sure how
To be alright
With all the memories
Lodged in my head

The flute is an instrument with a long history. It was the oldest found instrument, over 60,000 years ago. A little bone flute.
Out of all the music in the world, the flute seems to have stayed relatively the same, a beautiful little thing.
I am not a flute player, if you can't tell, but I appreciate it for what it is.
