Thanks, but NOPE.
:^D
I like how Manuel turns guitar wizardry into riffs and coherent songs that don't just feel like a flex, looking forward to the new album
Yeah, unlike the dudes over at Polyphia lmao
exactly what i was thinking. so many mindblowing amazing modern guitarists just make their songs technical showcases but have such little repeat listenability. Manuel makes music that you want to listen to, not just a piece to be amazed by.
I mean there's a little flex but it's tasteful
@@greigns7781Polyphia makes incredibly listenable and intriguing music. It may not be your taste, but their compositionong is very good, especially for how technical they are
0:17 That part was magical
this gotta be on the new album there's no way it's not
It’s not 😮
@@dylan.emerson__deserves to be
That tone is perfect
Okay, now it all makes sense why I can’t play anywhere nearly as good as you. I’ve only been playing for 23 years.
Looking forward to the ridiculous amounts of levels I jump up in the next couple of years to join you.
comparison is the thief of joy. Just relish in your own growth and how you are always making progress within your own vectors of effort and specialization!
@@mm6705 oh yeah man, being 23 years into playing, I realise the longer I play, the more I sound like me.
Damn you took my joke 2 days before i had it. that's the real talent!! :)
I've only got 1 year ... I think. No yeah 1 year to go!
Bro started in the womb 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Impossible not to love Manu!
Even get roast by him
Beautiful playing as always brother. Loving the look of that RG as well 🖤
this is so damn good. closing your eyes takes you to a different dimension
So damn clean!! absolute fire!!
Man, I keep getting upset that I still suck after 6 years of playing, I sound like I just started learning it, so I see this as encouraging. As long as it get this good in 19 more years I'll be happy I guess!
That tone is so spot on!
This guy is a master, comfortable playing what for anyone else would be a real task
Sounds amazing!
Absolute fire!!
Manu came out the womb playing guitar lmao
Insane playing and awesome hair 🤩
Finally, someone is talking about his A-teir locks
Genius.
Your guitar is such a beauty
That's sooo damn dope dude ❤️🔥
Brilliant as usual :)
Beautiful
So frckng beautiful
Best Guitarist I have seen
Masterful 😮💨🤘🔥
0:18 to end was genuinely gorgeous. Consider me a big fan!
clean
I just wanna say it was absolutely incredible and I havent even watched it yet
bro it's so amazing 🔥I'm playing my song inspired by your song alma negra at my school music exam performance!
Insane
eres un fuera de serie,un guitarrista extraordinario.
well done for becoming so gifted
What's up? Mind numbing.... It's from another dimension 😳
Question, throughout the 25 years what were the hours and consistency you put in? Im sure its varied over the years but still interests me
While it may sound counter intuitive, it's not really about the hours or years you put in, but rather which aspects you practice excessively.
I know a friend who plays 13 years & who is great at covering some fast metal shredding songs, but who is quite inept when it comes to improvising or writing unique or complex riffs or chords.
And who only relies on tabs & probably couldn't even figure out a basic open chord progression in the key of C & recreate it.
I play guitar since around 10 years & these days I can decipher entire songs with my ear & notate them or play them back with a very high level of relative pitch.
And I also tend to write a lot of music & innovative progressions.
And I also regularly put on backing tracks to improvise over.
Furthermore am I a total music theory geek, who meticulously likes to learn about all the modes, scales, transposing into other keys etc & how to apply them in a musical setting.
And while my friend & many others may excel with their neat & fast sweep picking or tapping technique, I feel like that things like that can be learned over time & shouldn't become the main focus on your journey as a musician.
Maybe it's true that with age comes mature & now in my mid 20's, I've outgrown the egocentric "look at me, Im a rock star" phase & have become much more open minded about other genres & like to learn as many styles & like to be influenced by a variety of artists as well.
And I also pay much more attention about dynamics & nuances.
Its a huge difference if you play a solo as 1 monotonous collage of notes, or if you be much more mindful about the significance of each bend, harmonic, vibrato etc.
Even though I play rather frequently, I also sometimes have time intervals of weeks or months, where I don't touch my guitar but still learn about music theory or focus on writing music in notation programs, since I sometimes get new ideas, if I can get a premature listen of what the whole ensemble may sound like, if I can add different instrument tracks simultaneously.
If you want to get inspired by a real master, I highly suggest to check out Buckethead. Since this guy has truly mastered his craft & ascended to surreal levels of skill. And while he's generally considered as a Shredder, these days he puts out much mellower & soulful songs.
Cavernous, Door 1, The Dream That Dreamts, Padmasana, Datura, Too Many Humans, Mount Shasta, Siege Engine, Solar Staple...
Just a few examples of his over 300 album catalog.
Hope you find this thorough advice useful & may get inspired by these song suggests.
Bless you friend
this is insane.
seriously the most underrated guitarist, you should be blowing up with your guirat skills!
i do believe that if he hadn't faked his first year on youtube, he'd probably had 3x subscribers. unfortunately for him, people dont forget.
@@Tcmmy131 what did he fake??
@@todlaceyenderofall5452 he is or was probably the most hated Instagram guitarist, because of that there is a shit ton of old fake clip and analysis.
damn this isn't what my 25 years of guitar playing looks like at all :(
Should've ended the video title with: for cyborgs
lets goooooo
Not just 25 years. 25 years of perfect practice
this sounds like floating on a cloud 😌
♥
Manuel, what can I practise to get my pinky finger to stop being a weak claw that bends inwards
Where can I learn
so that means I'm one year away from play like this!!!! shit yea i knew id get there eventually!
Son, you're not even 25 years old. ;) Amazing playing as always.
what ibanez model is this
25 years of Practice
With the emphasis of Play
What guitar is that
Halfway there! For some reason I don’t feel half as good tho 😭😅
Between him and Tim Henson, I'm convinced that you have to be pretty to play like this!!🤣
Its in the genes lol
Brother, I'm 23 and I'm nowhere NEAR that level of playing. Maybe the next 2 years will be good to me.
is that the piezzo Ibanez rare series?
brabo
holy shit the RG8527 is a sexy guitar. almost impulse bought one at a guitar show last month
Single player game vibes😮
0:25
Great playing, needless to say :) I was wondering why all your guitars have straight frets (non-multiscale)
Du bist einfach zu krass für die welt 😂
i wish i started at 3
My 25 years of playing looks way more let's say rudimentary.
G.O.A.T🔥🫀
Just put me in a room with Manuel, Tim Henson and Tosin Abasi and leave me alone for the day
What 25 years of practicing one lick sounds like.
I think claiming it is 25 years is a little deceptive. Now if you are saying it takes 25 years of hard work, sacrifice, and complete dedication to this art, I’ll believe you.
Did you walk or strum a guitar first?
already saw fade gg
I say more like 20 years of guitar playing and 5 years of percussion lol
So you're saying i have about 5 years to multiply my skill by thousands and its possible though?
This is ASTOUNDING
I’ve been playing for 15 years but I’m not 60% as good :(
That wasnt 25 years, that was like 35 seconds
Ok, that was good. 😂
I thought he was 25. How old is this guy then??
*when you practice
No, thats what 35 seconds of guitar looks like, be realistic
красава, когда 25 лет играл не в Доту
Bro started playing at 2
so 25 years of guitar playing looks like you couldnt play over simple changes if ur life depended on it? gotcha.
But can he play a C chord?
Hmm
How have you played for 25 years if you're 24 ?
28
You don't even look like you're older than 25 yet 😂
ive been playing for 25 years, and in no way does it look like this.
and he's only 24 years old
Aren't you like 26?
I think he's 28 now, and started playing when he was 3, so he really has been playing for 25 years now
28
Alright I give up
Dude, are you that old?
28
Great skill but man does it lack melody. I can't listen with closed eyes
This is a real polyphia vibe
Funny mine still looks like 💩
and now what?
don't get trapped in wanting to show off with technical skills,
25 years of playing and still not a single worthy riff,
let's start over again,
technicality is only a tool not a goal
the purpose in life is to listen to your soul
take care, with the fancy fair etc.
Using a lot of different obscure ingredients in a dish doesn't mean the food is going to actually taste good.
Lie I’ve been playing for 30 and I don’t sounds like that😂
soulless polyphia clone lol
No thanks
But you're only 20
more like 30
