Mind completely blown. Edit: it's a shame the younger generation can't make music like this. Just look at these old guys, still rocking. Quite impressive. This is what pure talent looks and sounds like.
the new guitar player Simon Mcbride is only 45. They needed an injection of someone younger to add new life, I have been listening to them for over 50 years with and without Ritchie Blackmore Steve Morse did a great job. Simon Mcbride is a great choice to step into the guitar player role, can't wait to see them at Jones Beach in September, that will make an even dozen times that I saw them live.

I think it's worth saying if this was an unknown band and this was their first song, they would be getting a lot of attention for their youthful energy and great chops from all their members. Hard to believe we get music this great from them so consistently. Just incredible
Blackmore left, Morse came, Lord died, Airey came, Steve Morse wife got cancer, he left, McBride came. Then you have The oldies; Paice, Glover and Gillan. It is amazing. Then you have outside the band Hughes who record almost every year, sometimes with Black Country Communiom, now out with their latest record"5". Just to remember all these wonderful musicians names will keep me from dementia. Every one of them is fantastic on their own. Then not forget Bolin. Let me tell you when I saw Springsteen in Gothenburg in -85. It was amazing. It was electric. With a little sadnes I went home to Stockholm. The sadness came to me because I had a ticket to Purple´s reunion tour in Stockholm. I never thought DP could match what I just have seen at the westcoast. I can tell you it was amazing. It blew Springsteen to the memory lane. Amazing week. Love from Sweden.
I’m 20 and my uncle has shown me this music since I was born. I feel at home when I listen to your songs, thanks for gifting us with masterpieces like this half a century later. Long live Deep Purple, you will forever be my favourite music band 💜
Ive been a Purple fan since album #1. This brings me back to their Fireball days where it's melodic and rolling rifs combine to bring Perfection once again. Although I love Steve Morse more this new guitar player brings with him a new and different sound which to my ears is a beautiful mix of Steve and Richie. Long live Deep Purple. I'm now 67 and this makes me feel like I'm listening to them in my bedroom for the very 1st time all over again.
I usually rock my granddaughter to sleep listening to classical music, but I saw this and clicked it instead. Worked like a charm. Long live Deep Purple!
Deep Purple has always been an influence in my life, both musically and spiritually, and even now at 52 while I battle with Liver Cancer, I can always rely on them and their music to lift me up and help face my day
I am 67 years old and since i was 14 , i have always listened to Deep Purple, from masterpieces like In Rock, Machine Head, Made in Japan and Burn, they have always given me a charge of adrenaline. This latest song of theirs even if it is not up to the standard of the old songs, however has the charm of a nostalgic and romantic decadence of an era that no longer exists.
I look at it this way, even if Deep Purple never reformed I'd still love all the albums from the 60s and 70s. What a great musical story. But we got the reunion with many excellent albums to follow. As a deep purple fan I feel blessed. I would imagine led Zeppelin fans are kind of jealous of Deep Purple fans. We get the old albums and we get new releases it's quite satisfying.
Still got it! Will always support these legends. My favorite Deep Purple memory is from a show of theirs I attended in 2012. Security was particularly heavy-handed that day with anyone trying to film or take photos. I was in the second or third row and saw a security guard being especially harsh with some kid trying to film (or maybe just snap a photo) with his phone. Gillan, seeing this, walked over, looked at the guard, and said, "Come on--f*ck off." And the guard did! Didn't think I could love Ian Gillan any more, but turns out he's even more awesome than I thought.
Anyone else want to see Deep Purple as a musical guest on Saturday Night Live? Speak up! Let your voice be heard. Maybe if we push for it, it might happen.
I'm in my 60s and still listening to Deep Purple. It's one of few rock and roll bands that rock despite its members ages. These rockers are warriors. Bro...we are two years apart, followed them from the same time and "saw" some Russians in Angola...I was a conscript in the opposing side😊. I did not know the USSR allowed the music into the Soviet Republic....but if they did its good 👍- we had real respect for all the folk there. I was also amazed to see how many people attended the live show of Metallica after the "breakup" of the union. I'm glad you guys had access to the good music. Regards to the beautiful people of Russia.💜

I lost my father 2 years ago due to a mix complications of cancer and Covid19. Both of us were huge rock music fans, and every time we met he would start playing his old records of Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, and Queen. We would listen to it together and discuss everything about the band. Today when I saw this Music Video thumbnail on TH-cam, I automatically clicked on it, and as I listened to this song my tears started to fall. It would have been amazing if we could listen to it together, I can imagine how he would be so excited to talk about their music and sounds. God, I haven't cried this hard since his funeral. Thank you Deep Purple for releasing this song and helping me reminisce all the memories I had of my father...
Never easy loosing a parent. Accept a hug from a crazy Old Lady in the same case.
Take care Tetsu .
You just told my story.. I lost my dad 1,5 years ago.. And all I have in my classic rock music education I took from him.. Looking on these silverhair dudes all that I can do is to say "long live" In a memory of my Father. Rip J. Lord.

As a deep purple fan I feel blessed. I would imagine led Zeppelin fans are kind of jealous of Deep Purple fans. We get the old albums and we get new releases it's quite satisfying.

Indeed Ian is such a sweet guy and you always get extra gifts for free when you buy their fantastic music.
