      Glad to hear it! Its a long course but if you can make it though it all, it will be worth it! Harmor can do amazing things!

    Thanks for the tutorial to Harmor. On this synthesizer, I was afraid to create any sound.
    It just looks complicated and scary in its own way :)

      You're very welcome! Once you're a good amount through this series, you're going to feel much more comfortable making sounds with this synth. It's an amazing one!

    Jon, your tutorials are such a blessing! I love that you take us through each step instead of a brief overall summary! Was just watching a movie yesterday and they had this awesome dissonant sound playing which really helped you to understand the chaos and terror of what was happening. It was freaky and I thought to myself, how did they create this sound since I am interested in sound design for films. And now I watch this and I see that I can make a similar sound by chaotically automating the prism parameter. Thank you!

      Super glad to hear that! And you definitely picked the right synth for those types of sounds. Harmor is great with those, not to mention harmors dual parts. Harmor has the capability to go as deep as you're willing to go. If you have any questions in the future, I'm always around!

      Thanks man! I really try to leave no stone unturned. Some of the videos can get lengthy but if you stick with them, you'll come out with a solid understanding. Hope you're doing well!

    My favorite synth. Another small but HUGE thing you didn't touch upon, unison index mapping: The ability to offset just about anything depending on which of the unison voices it is.
    It can be found where it'll usually say Envelope, above where you draw, some other cool stuff there too.
    Absolutely amazing in combination with Harmonic Unison Pitch, which can be found on the right side of the bigger modulation menu next to the one that has the index mapping.

      Harmor is amazing!! It's been a while since I did this series and I believe I touched upon unison index mapping somewhere in the course, if it's not there it must then be in the harmor sound design Playlist. It's a great feature!! Thanks for the tips dude!!

      @@jonaudio Yep, I didn't realize this was a series at first, but I'm watching the whole thing now! Good to get clarification on exactly what some of these things are doing, never even realized the pluck and tremolo are so cool

    I kinda know the most important functions like the generators, the filters, the ADSR graphics, the unison, the strum but some of the other stuff doesn't come intuitively to me. I hope this videos are going to help me understand and memorize some of this stuff.

      There's def a lot to harmor, it's quite the synth and can do some pretty niche things

    • @aspirativemusicproduction2135

      @jonaudio Thanks! I need to figure it out. It seams to be the most complete synth in FL Studio and I already like it more than Sytrus. I get better sounds faster already. After watching few of your videos I am pretty sure I will be revisiting them a lot every step of the way. I have tried to put sounds in Sytrus and they sound nothing like the original. Not even close. Thanks for making these tutorials!

    • @jonaudio
      @jonaudio  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You're very welcome! Yeah harmor can do quite a lot. Paired with sytrus, those two synths can give you a lot of mileage. I'll usually reach for harmor before sytrus buuuuuut if I'm doing anything FM related, then I'll grab sytrus.
      The course is a long one so def pace yourself if you can. Harmor has a lot of crazy stuff under the hood but once you know every parameter and get super comfortable with it. It's a badass synth

    Just bought FL Studio (Ableton user) and knowing Harmor by reputation took a look/listen at it. I was intrigued by the Overeffected preset. After watching the introductory video and browsing through the playlist (roughly estimated 3 hours) I wonder what makes the repetitive sound, in which part (and by that, which video (asking for shortcut😉) should I find that? I walked through all the setting, but don't recognize the crucial one, closest being the ENV tab (filter 1). What is the sound designing principle? Awesome channel, btw already learned a lot.

    Thank you Jon ✌ ✌❤❤❤❤ Harmor is very very good. Does harmor can make any sound in the world?

    • @jonaudio
      @jonaudio  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Harmor is amazing! Theoretically if we know what the phase and amplide of all the partials then yes we could recreate that sound

    great tutorial.
    Question though ?
    I want to run my voice through Harmor I was thinking, before Halloween, about using “VB audio cable” or something like that, as the input from my mic.
    Then I would output to Harmor, after which I could put any Harmor effects on it in real time.
    Is that possible ???
    If so, I haven't figured it out yet.

    • @jonaudio
      @jonaudio  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks!
      As far as the input in real time to harmor goes, I don't believe harmor has the capability to do that. You would probably have to record your lines and load them into harmor, add the fx you want and save that as presets.

    • @EvilMintyGreen
      @EvilMintyGreen ปีที่แล้ว

      Though you might not be able to do that via real time with Harmor I would suggest looking into the Patcher plugin in FL Studio. There's Patcher videos you might come across that might give you what you're looking for.
