Thanks. Took me a while to figure out how to turn the night mode on and off. After wearing the Watch 5 Pro daily for 2 years I must say the new Ultra watch blows the doors off of it in every way. The screen is much more vibrant and the 3000 nits brightness when outside is insane. The watch itself it nice and snappy with the new chip and the new Ultra watch faces finally feel like some serious thought were put into them and they feel much more professional looking than what I had available on the Watch 5 pro. The new bands are great and much beefier and robust looking. As much as I liked the magnetic band on my Watch 5 Pro, the new mechanism for attaching and removing the bands is much better. Over all. I'm very happy with my new Ultra watch
You can also customize the sounds of incoming calls, messages, event reminders etc. (I think there are 10+ options for each category). You can make sounds unique to you. Why do I bring this up at all? Well, have you ever been in a room with people where everyone wears an Apple Watch? (Happens at the gym often too by the way.) Suddenly a notification sound goes off, and everyone looks at their watch to check if it was theirs, because they all sound the same. With the Samsung Watch Ultra you can customize sounds. (It's not a new feature. Many watches have this option, but it's still a good feature to have.)
I've done that on my phone ever since I could. It's funny to see people look around when my email app rings out in seagull cries or frogs croaking. Great for ringtones as well.
I just got mine in a day ago and I've been wearing it since. I got mine for $253.89 out the door. They did a huge discount on the watch itself and then I traded in my old Apple watch and got a huge discount with that as well
I saw in one video you can put the strap on the other way and click a setting to turn everything on the watch upside down and either have the watch on your right hand or have the buttons away from your wrist so that the middle button doesn't get pressed by accident when you bend your wrist back, mabe doing pushups or something. Pretty cool.
This is helpful for somebody who hasn't had any samsung watches before. But you went over a lot of features that are available on older models as well. Would you be able or willing to dive deeper into features exclusive to the 7 series and ultra?
*Warning* - Canadian Users: Rogers will NOT allow you to link your Samsung Ultra watch to your cell number unless you finace the watch through Rogers. They will NOT link your phone and watch if you buy it elsewhere (e.g. Best Buy). Seems like a CRTC complaint and consumer class action to me!
Hello, how's it going? Great video. I have an issue with the feature called find my watch. Which specific permission is required and where do I find it. I'm able to find my phone, Fold 6 using the ultra watch but when I try to find my watch in wearable app it saids wais not allowed to be found, device to be found is turned off. There's a bug which Samsung officially acknowledged that is causing this battery drain,for now it's recommended to disable ok google voice command. Go to settings,google, assistant and turn off ok Google. That should fix major battery drain till Samsung officially patch that bug.
See that’s the problem every year Google. Samsung can’t do anything Google has to fix there apps which should’ve been done before launch, but Google doesn’t give a crap. When the pixel watch drop they magically don’t have this issue I’m not seeing how building a system together helps Samsung. Should’ve stuck with Tizen.
Not quite 48 hours into the Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra ownership experience and I'm very enamored of it. My fiancée even likes it and she's complimented me on my choice several times over since i received this watch on Friday August 2, 2024. I have not been disappointed that the Watch 7 Ultra doesn't have the rotating bezel I've previously gone on about.
I had Galaxy Watch, Watch Active 2, Watch 4, Watch 5 Pro and now Watch 6 classic. I love their smartwatch features but the best feature of Watch Ultra is the price - it is so high that it made me upgrade to the big boys level and ordered Epix Pro gen 2. Thank you Samsung
I had all those same watches. I still have my Samsung Galaxy. I traded in my Watch6 classic for the ultra and after trade in the Ultra was only 124.99.

I had my Watch Ultra for a week now and the battery is lasting day and a half to almost 2 with a few tweaks (disabled the lte since I don't need it on all the time, and a few more). It has the 590 mAh battery which is almost if not the biggest battery in any smart watch. There might be some more in depth reviews on youtube that could have some more in dept battery inforamarion.
With the night mode all in red. Red light doesn't reset your eyes adjustment to night time. It takes your eyes about 40 minutes to fully adjust to the dark. White light resets that immediately. Some campaights for star watching only allow red torches. Lots of animals can't see red light too.

The red light for night mode is not really so you can "see it better at night" it's to save your night vision when looking directly at it. Used in military settings. It's why we use red lights in the military so you can transition from that to complete darkness and retain more of your night vision. It has to do with the cones and rods in your eye. Not 100% effective but it's been shown to help.
I just got the watch today, I estimate it to be usable for 2 days with moderate use. It charges faster than watch 6 classic, so I always put it on charging when I go to bath.
@@ibby81ae I've had the watch since yesterday, same as the other guy said, I've got all the sleep tracking on etc, AOD off, of course I've been using it quite a bit as I've only just got it. I think it would last 2 days with moderate usage. Charges quickly so as mentioned, can be charged during a bath, shower or when you first get into work.

They arent the same. The 7 and ultra have huge differences between the 4 5 and 6. Such as in storage capacity, 3x faster in the cpu. A huge difference in the sensor

Purchased this. After comparing I think the watch 6 classic and the regular watch 6 are a little better. They do all of the same things plus wireless charging and reverse power share works on the 6 series. Only one way to charge the ultra so you will definitely be carrying 2 chargers.
Have you noticed issues with changing the animation in the developer options. You change to your desired setting then after restarting device is goes back to its original setting.

Please Show How to Add it to the Phone and then to the Watch and then while it's Ringing while either from the Bluetooth from the Watch or LTE Directly from the Watch.

Assistant is not superior to Bixby. They are two totally different products and you should use both. The assistant is for looking things up like restaurants, conversions, facts Etc Bixby is for watch specific commands that the assistant cannot do... such as set up multi exercise, turn on my flashlight etc
After reading up on it some it seems that the app isn't compatible with the Watch Ultra. Pretty lame cause that's one of the things I wanted to use. Hopefully it's resolved with an update and not something they took out after the demos were sent out to creators to make content.

My watch is only showing Bixby not google assistant. Any idea how to get google assistant in the drop down list after selecting press and hold, I have assistant installed on my watch already
If you read the find print on the Assistant app it's not compatible with the new Watch Ultra. Pretty disappointing. Not the first thing that's been shown and doesn't work. All these hype videos are pretty misleading.

Question: I’m coming from 15 years of iOS and have ordered my new company phone a fold 6. My company paid for the phone but I’ll have to pay for the watch. When I bought an Apple Watch on my own personal account and tried to use it on my business account there was issues w/cellular. Far as I saw upon pre order the ultra off the samsung site is both BT and cellular. If i wanted i could add it to my acct but i rather not😑 i only use BT to the phone so i c my calls nd txts so on...and wifi when updating or dloading apps. This is just on my current watch. The galaxy watch 4 classic. The ultra should work the same way

That night mode looks great for when in night, but you aren't sleeping, looks too bright if you are in bed and want to have a quick look to know the time. But I'll see when I actually have the phone, brightness in videos can be misleading.
NO ... US FDA did not approve of their protocol for collection. Rumor has it that Samsung has finally listened to many of us complaining about this needed feature in our health toolbox.
I am keeping my Watch 5 Pro as Samsung Canada did not play fair on trade in on new watches this year. They jacked up the price of the new watches to reflect the difference in the Canadian dollar. But the trade in valve was not adjusted to reflect the difference in the Canadian dollars. They kept that the same as United States dollars. This amounted to several hundred dollars in Canadian dollars. So I will stay with my Watch 5 Pro until they start playing fair with Canadian customers...
Great content. Question: You can bring everything over from, say my watch4 44mm to my 7 ultra, including my watch faces🤔 I heard that say you shower with the watch on, when water touches the watch the water lock automatically turns on is that true, have you tried it.

@guslovo5900 According to the video, use either settings>sounds on watch itself or use Health settings > sounds in app after watch is paired.

I’ve got 2 watches on the wearable app, you can set it to auto switch when you change watches.
Most apps and setting can be synchronized to the new watch. A notable omission is Google Wallet, and I think that's by design due to security.

The should have the compass show to to your phone or car.
German version has no Google Assistant for the Home button, Bixby only.
It worked for me by downloading assistant from the play store on watch. It did not show up for me either hope it works for you.

Then go to the menu and you can change the home button to be the Google Assitant instead of Bixby. I was able to change my watch face back, and it kept that setting. Hope that works for you too.

My watch is only showing Bixby not google assistant. Any idea how to get google assistant in the drop down list after selecting press and hold, I have assistant installed on my watch already
If you read the find print on the Assistant app it's not compatible with the new Watch Ultra. Pretty disappointing. Not the first thing that's been shown and doesn't work. All these hype videos are pretty misleading.

@nishitsapra9187 I figured it out! At least one option, im not sure if there are others. If you go to the Wear App and go to the watch section and click on watch faces there should be a banner near the top that says Featured Watch Faces. Click that and load the Ultra Analog face. In the customization menue it let's you add complications and one that you can add is Assistant. Add that and save. Then go to the menu and you can change the home button to be the Google Assitant instead of Bixby. I was able to change my watch face back, and it kept that setting. Hope that works for you too.
@@estebanrivera8820strange because Google assistent works Great on my watch Ultra. But you need to configure The assistant app before you can choose it.

Edit: I just saw a video that says you may need to go to the play store on the watch, manage apps, and tap update.
Question: I’m coming from 15 years of iOS and have ordered my new company phone a fold 6. My company paid for the phone but I’ll have to pay for the watch. When I bought an Apple Watch on my own personal account and tried to use it on my business account there was issues w/cellular. If I buy the ultra will have the same issue or can I just use it on WiFi? Great review/ you’ve moved me from a diehard iOS user to Samsung. Thanks!
Far as I saw upon pre order the ultra off the samsung site is both BT and cellular. If i wanted i could add it to my acct but i rather not😑 i only use BT to the phone so i c my calls nd txts so on...and wifi when updating or dloading apps. This is just on my current watch. The galaxy watch 4 classic. The ultra should work the same way

I read on the website that says pool and shower OK, not for diving. There was an asterix next to waterproofing.
That night mode looks great for when in night, but you aren't sleeping, looks too bright if you are in bed and want to have a quick look to know the time.

I am keeping my Watch 5 Pro as Samsung Canada did not play fair on trade in on new watches this year. They jacked up the price of the new watches to reflect the difference in the Canadian dollar. But the trade in valve was not adjusted to reflect the difference in the Canadian dollars. They kept that the same as United States dollars. This amounted to several hundred dollars in Canadian dollars. So I will stay with my Watch 5 Pro until they start playing fair with Canadian customers...
