i never had a smartwatch ( except the the ' microsoft smart watch ' in 1994 ) - however - xfinity convinced me to change from metro-byt-mobile to xfinity and get $ 300 off a smartwatch because i have a bunch of their ' rewards ' credits that i have totally ignored until now ( i have been on comcast for over 30 years ) - personally - i stopped watching television when i was 23 years old in 1980 - but i have been on the computer and had 7 kids since then ... - anyway at the first of this video - i saw something and looked it up -> Katy Nichole - "In Jesus Name (God of Possible)" (Official Music Video) - never heard it before now - but i love that song and if you are a believer - i am proud to have you as a brother ! - and now i will *_watch_* the rest of this *_watch_* *_watch_* er video and maybe i will order the ultra tomorrow after i get my phone connected - one of the requirements of getting the $ 300 discount is to be on their mobile service and have a phone activated etc .
It was removed to allow the sensors to be more accurate. Judging by what the review channels and fitness channels are saying about heart rate and GPS accuracy, that reason was valid, and has led to far better performance of the sensors.
@Roccofan You can get a watch charger with a built-in battery to charge on the go. It is an extra item, but it's about the size of 2 AA batteries so it isn't too much to throw it in your bag with your phone charger. It can even work as a battery pack for your phone if you have a C to C cable.

That thermostat feature is so cool! But it doesn't work if you have a password or pin on your watch. Every time you take your watch off, the screen goes off.

Awesome video, by far one of the best and most informative regarding some great features. New one for me was the Universal Gestures Also thanks for pointing out about how even though the wireless charging is gone you can still charge it by simply taking the charging Puck with you. Every other reviewer has made it out to be like once the watch is out of juice you're stuck like that till you're home to charge it. If I know my watch it low on charge I'm gonna take my charger with me (that's just me though lol)
One tiny correction. The night mode being red is not to make it easier to read, but to keep your eyes adapted to the dark. Looking at bright white and green colors kills your night vision adaptation where red does not. Having to charge it via the puck is the stupidest work around they could have come up with. The whole point to wireless charging from your phone was to not require additional equipment when you're on the road.
Wow, I never knew Samsung watches were that far advanced because coming out of the Apple OS ecosystem (slowly lol), the Samsung just looked like a plain old watch. This video was mind-blowing, and I now want one. Last September, I bought a Samsung Galexy S23 Ultra (which I love) after owning nothing but iPhones every since the iPhone 2 was out and just stayed with them throughout the years. My reason for switching was I was simply bored with apple. Each upgrade was pretty much useless as it was just a newer model with not really any new/noticeable features to really justify the cost. I now feel like a kid in a candy store after making the swith to my S23 Ultra, and now, very soon, the Fold 6! This video was like the cherry on the ice cream sundae. Seeing the way the watch ultra inner acts with other Samsung products, especially the smartphones, just got me even more excited and now can't wait to get my hands on them both. And actually you don't have to do any of this on the tiny screen of your watch but can do it much more comfortably from the galaxy wearable app on your phone.

The charging off of the phone using a lead is a backward step. No one is carrying a lead around with them for the watch
