We’re always fond of homes designed with the owner’s experience in mind versus an interior design template. In this case, the Japan Cafe-inspired common bedroom-turned study room really caught our attention! We also love that the choice of furniture relates back to Matt’s experience growing up in his family home. Which aspect of this home is your favourite? Share your thoughts in the comments below! This video brings back a nostalgic walk down memory lane, reminded me of my grandmother's days, my trip back to Malacca, antique shops in the humble streets of old architecture weathered by time. In interiors are simple yet still vibrant with splashes of color that shows off bits and nuggets of their personality. It feels like a real home, not a show room home. Tq for this enjoyable and inspiring video
LOVE their asthetic. Warm & stylish yet simple and liveable. Understated yet lively with vibrant touches here & there. Just overall comfy & wonderfully streamlined. Love it.
For me the highlight was the study windows, how the thin light frames stand out, they pop for me! and those brass levers omg havent seen that since i was a kid2~! that wooden or wood laminate switch with flick knobs placed just above yr shoe shelf is a v nice touch too.
@@StackedHomes I do enjoy every episode lately. My SG friends seem to utilize the concept of simplicity to the fullest. Will keep on watching. Greetings from HK
Wow wow it's definitely stunning. One of the best design I've found recently. Love the unique elements u guys have brought to your home. The sofa is absolutely icing on the cake.
Cute couple. It's a colorful home but still very cohesive. They say every piece of furniture is teak but I recognise that ikea ivar shelf in the living room haha.
I'm not sure about the sneakers thing, but the house is quite lovely, it has a really nice vibe. And, as a man, I can attest for the plant loving. Haha :D
Lovely house with nice touch here and there.😊 Kitchen is nice too but Open kitchen concept not my style 🤣 The shoes might dirty the wall so best to place something between the wall and shoes to prevent markings. 👍
@@StackedHomes honestly right they could have spend something like 250 on my shoe rack, use wood veneer, not pretty but no nid dust. This one legit cannot
why husbands gravitate to plants? because it is usually the one aspect of their life that they have complete control over. plants don't nag or emasculate them.
Design is not nice at all and very retro, but ias long as the owners like it that way, then it is good enough. May not be a good idea to have sneaker shelves in the living roon unless the shoes are only used for decor.
@@reinaldtan2361 if the sneakers are worn, they will sure stink the whole house.. it is only nice to look at, but not practical at all. That’s my opinion.

Wow thanks Jackie for sharing your thoughts! Very happy to hear that you find it comfy and streamlined 🙌
Those wooden flooring gives that homely vibe which I like. Because they use wood and glass combo, their home feels cosy and classy at the same time.
Thank you for your comment, Alice! :D

Interesting! Thanks for sharing your thoughts 😀
Best thing about teak..with time it glows even more
Well said Angela 💪
Very very beautiful home!
Glad you like it 😀
now this is an appt i could live in comfortably. the all-white unit in another video, though nice, would give me the cold sweat.
Hah yeah! It can be stressful to maintain such a whitish home, especially if you're particular about cleanliness.
Teak dining table! Yes! My family has the same philosophy. 27 years and still looking good
Yes it's really long lasting! 👌
Wow wow it's definitely stunning.

We definitely agree! 👍🏻 Thanks for watching 😁

Hahaha. Perhaps "almost" every piece of furniture would be more accurate 😂

Plants are awesome! Thanks for watching!
Yea it’s a bit of an eyesore to look at stinky shoes no offence. Would have been better if it’s replaced with plants.
@@WokOverEasy I agree with u. Shoes get onto anything n everything from the ground . Even tho I Lysol my shoes when I get home, it's still unhygienic.
@@WokOverEasy My family prefers to store items e.g. shoes in enclosed cabinets instead also because items placed out in the open can collect dust too
Cool!
😎
Growing up, and even now, I still never have a sofa :(

Same.
same LOL
Lovely house with nice touch here and there.😊

Those IKEA stools... they can’t be teak! 😂
okay, not literally everything 😂😂😂
This one legitly for 65k so much wood is just nice.
But not your shoe rack, confirm do dust until damm pekcek
😂 Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Yeah we can imagine dusting the shelves to be a pain. $65K is great considering the works done!
@@StackedHomes honestly right they could have spend something like 250 on my shoe rack, use wood veneer, not pretty but no nid dust. This one legit cannot
Fary like Home&Decor magazine
🙌
Nicely done but shoe cabinet tho definitely a turn off and unhygienic
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the shoe cabinet! 😀 Exposed shoes are not for everyone, especially since they track dirt into the home.
Cosy home . Where to get the study table ?
Thanks for sharing your thoughts! You can check with the owners directly on this, their IG handle is in the description above 👌
Their style in dressing is the same as their home decor. Everything is so clean cut. The shoe shelves should be hidden away
Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
65k before furniture is expensive......assuming is brand new BTO.
Hey! Thanks for sharing your thoughts! Yes with the hacking and carpentry works, this interior design requires more than the usual budget 👌

So many starving artists and designers... but can afford 65k for reno?! 😅
