    Have you considered the smart portfolios? I stopped copy trading and switched almost exclusively to the smart portfolios, they're divided by sector so you can diversify across many sectors/geographic locations. They also have ETF portfolios which have quite a low risk score. Might be worth having a look

    • @rayygun
      @rayygun 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Same here. Only in a few copies now, mainly smart portfolio.
      I've found the smart portfolios far out perform copy's traders

      Hey Adam, hope it's going well. I prefer the idea that the people i'm copying are watching their portfolios daily so they can react faster to threats or opportunities, whereas the smart portfolios tend to rebalance at wider intervals. Having said that, I just adjusted everything manually...

      How do you sort/tell ETF's apart by their risk score on the app?

    I treat it as a hobby and love seeing how my NVIDIA and other positions are doing. Read an article about how the oil price might tank next year so I will be keeping an eye on Amit.

      Yeah, if it really feels like a hobby then that's great, as it means lots of focus but done joyfully and calmly. That's a nice situation...

    Hi, I found your videos a week or so ago and they are soooooo good.
    I am a new invesor on eToro and just wanted to get permission to link some of your videos to my Toro posts. I think they would be really useful to copiers and PI's alike.
    No worries if you would rather not, just let me know.

    In agreement, the market scares me.
    If there is a correction of some kind, i want cash so if something happens we can participate.
    If nothing happens, we have exposure to the market.
    Making less if far better than losing.

      I should probably just leave you guys to it! :) I was very focused on packing boxes and moving them to a little garage i'd rented though, so an executive decision was made at the highest levels!! (on my phone after watch an Alessio vid) Gave me the room to just carry on lifting those boxes :)

      Been in Malta for many many years - went backwards and forwards to Italy a bit the last few years though. I'm still going back to Malta - only here for a couple of months :) It's lovely in southern Italy, it really is.

    You can get up to 5.3% interest on your un invested cash dollars on etoro. 2% on revolute instant savings account.

    • @SocialTrading
      @SocialTrading  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Do you mean with the platinum plus tier of club membership etc? There's still the 1.5% FX exchange fee on either side, and I know that's reduced 50% as a perk , but that's still 1.5% off the stated interest rate if you're not from the U.S. I mean it's better than nothing but still below inflation, and there's counterparty risk involved... It seems too little risk to reward for such a lot of money and opportunity cost.

    • @00076Paint
      @00076Paint 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@SocialTrading Yeah. Gold=2%, Platinum=4%, Platinum+=5% and Diamond= 5.3%. There is no FX fees if you use the etoro money account. There will come a time when bonds will pay better that just holding cash on etoro. When the fed cuts rates is when interest on savings will drop.

    I think its clever you take out some money. Would you then consider keeping your money invested if the people you copied endure this recession well enough? Or would you take out money anyway when in the future there is another upcoming recession?

    • @SocialTrading
      @SocialTrading  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I have no idea to be honest :) I was so completely focused on moving house (it's amazing how long that takes and how much effort it is!) that I just wanted to remove some risk and carry on with what I was doing in the real world. Even though I copy trade, I do watch to a certain extent - but I absolutely couldn't whilst moving, so it was more of a mental cut-off switch than anything else :)

  • @AlexandruVoiculescu
    @AlexandruVoiculescu 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Inflation and equity returns are usually smoothed over long periods of time. I recommend to people to read some books that explain the returns in the markets over long periods of time because being focused on short term always will give bad results.
    I also want to point out that chasing returns is the worst thing that can be made and is proven time and time again that is unsustainable. But that's another discussion.
    Discipline and a strategy that is changed in better is the key.

    Why not trust a stop loss to get your money out if you're worried about a crash? I think you can set a break-even stop loss on a copy trade once it gets to 10% profit.

    Even if you have your money on your house inside a vault, there will still be risk. The question is, how much risk percentage can you swallow? That is a wise decision on your part since your are just copying their trade. You have no control over their decisions so might as well park your money. But, a friendly advice, don't listen to traders going over the news or any outlets whoever they may be. Making a headline is what they want since it will manipulate the decision of the majority of amateur traders with a faint of heart who will listen to them.

      I like listening to Alessio - he may get it wrong sometimes, but I know the theories he's following and he's just analysing charts according to Elliot wave theory and Dow theory and a few others. It's not massively hard to understand - he's just constantly focused on it. There are tons of other approaches to T.A - I just like listening to Alessio form time to time - I think he's a good guy. He's just looking at probabilities according to his chosen framework's analysis.

    • @vince6473
      @vince6473 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      why not? Different traders make money in many different ways. A succesful copytrader is more likely to succeed than most other people manually trading.
      I think the only other sensible you can do is buy etfs following world indexes e.g. FTSE All-World index regardless of the price every month.

    • @SocialTrading
      @SocialTrading  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I was watching the 'pensioncraft' channel again and saw the MSCI world index momentum fund which looked like it was a decent option, but couldn't find it on eToro and didn't venture further to try to trade it manually anywhere...

      Nope, but probably need one... Weirdly I dreamt about having a job last night. And in the job in my dream, someone from my previous not-real job (in the dream world) came to try to lure me back to my old imaginary job, and i remembered all of my old imaginary workmates and felt a bit sad... The mind is a very strange place.

    I would stop listening to a trader that is selling a course he clearly is not making good money with his strategy else he would keep it to him self.
    What he sells is most likely not to be the same as he does if it was a good system. He would have kept it all for his own profit.

    • @SocialTrading
      @SocialTrading  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Why? That doesn't really make sense. If it works well and he can make people money, they'll keep subscribing... If you copy someone's signals, and they keep losing, you'll stop copying them and stop paying them.
      Same as the people on eToro - we could say :"Well if they're so good why don't they just trade for themselves" They do. And they also make money when we copy them. And if their trades are consistently losing money, we stop copying them and they lose that revenue stream.
      He's going to use his best strategy for himself. He's also going to sell his best strategy to his subscribers so that they keep winning and subscribing.
