Labrador Park Jetty Fishing: Stingrays, Flathead and Rare Crab | Fishing in Singapore

- Today, we ended up at a popular fishing spot in Singapore, Labrador Park (Nature Reserve) Jetty! It was quite a productive session at Labrador Park Jetty with quite a few bites, where we caught a decent flathead, some stingrays and other small fishes! Our fishing session was unfortunately cut short by an incoming thunderstorm. Do let us know if you have any tips for fishing at Labrador Jetty, and if you have any suggestions on where you want us to fish in Singapore!

Haha trying to go new place if not videos might be very repetitive, but very difficult at the same time because every place has a different environment, need to learn new things slowly haha. We still prefer punggol 😂😂😂

@@JivesFishingI tried the Barra's Den (mangrove area after the Jelutong Campsite) along the coastal area..fav spot during low tide..have a pool of water inside the magrove during low tide...lots of Barras trapped there...and at Sensory Trail too..I fish only during day time ..there are many other spots also can find on TH-cam of our local anglers been n done that..

I don't think that the blue spotted ray will grow any bigger than that. I have never seen any in the 3 or 4kgs range.
Yea we heard that max 2kg haha. But they are very beautiful, so feel like releasing them sometimes.

Hi there , able to share how you hook whole sotong or at smaller piece ?
Hi! Usually for whole sotong we use 2/0 hook and double hook the top part of the sotong. For smaller pieces (cut whole sotong into 2/3 pieces), same thing we just double hook the smaller pieces on a size 1/2 hook.

Ariina Light nope. Jus kelong sotong from tackle shop. Hard to catch live rocket squid at punggol, but can catch the greeneye squid there! For greeneye squid can jus cut into strips and bait
what are the two different types of rays
The one in the thumbnail (the blue spots one) is a blue-spotted fantail ray! The other one (the brown one) was a mangrove whipray.

Have but not all are edible and also not big. For crabs best to go ubin.

Thanks! Still hard to say haha. Need to try labrador jetty a couple more times.. but nowadays keep raining, a little hard.
I would think here might potentially have more variety of fishes (im not sure, just guessing) as compared to punggol where its mostly usats and catfish haha.
