BURST OFF A HUGE ENDANGERED RAY!! | Surf Fishing at Bedok Jetty | Shark and Rays

Hi everyone and welcome back to another episode of Jives Fishing! We apologise for not posting as often due to our busy schedules (work and projects etc), but heres our latest video! In this video, we headed down to our favourite fishing spot at Bedok Jetty for some surfcasting and squid scooping, and we managed to get a critically endangered shovelnose ray which burst off as it ran into the jetty (we would have released it either way), as well as a bamboo shark and a small whitespotted whipray (both of which were released). Enjoy and stay safe!

You can surf cast with heavy sinker, size 4 or 5, cast far. When retrieving, retrieve fast especially nearer to wall.

guys why don't you or anyone else i have seen on the jetty use a baitcaster setup, is there any reason for it?

Hmm we havent learn how to use overhead reels yet. Was thinking of getting shimano torium but havent got around it yet. Alot of others use baitcasters especially the regulars!
