This year Porsche has lived up to expectations, which doesn't surprise me. Because in the past Porsche has shown with many cars that in their debut season it is difficult to be a really competitive car, but from that point onwards with more development the cars end up being very competitive as they have been this year both the 963 and the 911 gt3 r (992). And for 2025, they already have a clear goal: we want to win Le Mans’, says Urs Kuratle, Racing Director of the Porsche Factory Team.
Being a passionate car driver for almost 40 years, I own a 996.2 GT3 and I can tell you, that Porsche is something special. I‘m not sure what it is, but you feel a precision which no other car can give you

@timmynicolas8729 well you cna only limit a car so much with bop. If the car is inherently good and a good platform that gives its drivers the confidence to push and is stable enough to deal with anything, bop won't be that effective(they proved it this year by winning with the worst bops) but it will hinder them on some tracks like le mans where you need as much power as allowed

Porsche also won the Nürburging Endurance Series Speed Trophy (GT3 class title for the series) with Falken Motorsport and could've won the Intercontinental GT Challenge. They won the opening rounds (including the Bathurst 12h), but lost out to BMW due to a poorly prepared car at the 24h of Spa (which was down to the team getting it wrong and not an issue of Porsche factory support or the drivers) and another DNF at the final round in Indianapolis. The first one is just a regional thing, but winning the IGTC would've been the cherry on top. Still an awesome season, but you can't take this for granted with all major endurance racing categories having BoP nowadays.
