Such an important video. I started designing websites and looking for a framework but, i found that i have to make some design choices which i was doing unintentionally.
Now i have to keep in mind what a visitor expects when he lands on the website. Forget dribbble. I also found that developers making stunning templates but they are confusing.
I think that the purpose of a website is directional, so that a visitor can make a decision easily. The design shall not be something which will make visitors mind struggling to find the information.
    Kudos to you.

you said "biases are a result of shortcuts" so do researchers and Designers use these biases to make ux easier?

Interesting question! Yes, they can use bias to inform design decisions - although designers and researchers have to be mindful of their own potential biases

Which branch of Psychology is required for a UX Researcher ? Is it enough to pursue HCI for a UX Researcher role ? I am a web app front end developer and would like to know what other skills are required to become a UX Researcher.

Let's start with a bit of a disclaimer: while psychology can be helpful, there are many paths into UX research. HCI and fields like anthropology/sociology also provide strong foundations, so that could be a direction to take. Having said that, keep in mind: your knowledge as a developer should also give you some extra insights.
