From 9:55 . civilians and policmen all over the place are hit when Robert de Niro sprays. But nothing happens to Al Pacino. Typical movie where the hero never dies.

in the book he was shot twice in the head but survived and after he healed up he came back with avengence but it was too late, bobby denero already fled with the girl, and val kilmer also got away..he falls into a depression soon after and attempts to shoot himself in the head only to survive

this movie's SFX with the gunshots will always be top tier
There is no sound effects tho. Gunshots are played as they've been recorded on the scene.

The cops go from their headquarters to staged outside the bank in the few minutes it takes the crew to rob the bank?
