Your cross stitch is just perfect in the frame. Tulleys does have a reputation for being the scariest and I know a lot of celebrities have visited in the past, well done for surviving it 😂
Wow, that looked a brilliant scary, squeaky bottom sort of night 🤣👻. Love the x stitch and the frame is super. Going to Dunelm to buy three for embroidery Christmas pictures my adult daughter has done. The frame looks perfect. Thanks Ali. 🎃🧙♀️
Y’all look wonderful for Halloween. Dan’s lovely pumpkin 🎃 hat. He is so funny. Phoebe is GORGEOUS ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS. I haven’t seen her in a while. She is a true beauty
To iron my cross stitch I put it face down on a folded towel, then use a damp pressing cloth (I use an old handkerchief) and iron from the back . That way you won't flatten the stitches x
Glad you braved the fright night. I love a good scare! Cross stitch looks fabulous and a great choice of frames. Next time use heavy cardboard to mount your finished piece on. It keeps it firmer and won'tgo limp over time. And the finished piece usually gets ironed on the backside instead of the front still using a tea towel technique. Sweet bunch of happy mail and yes I made the card with my very basic paper crafting skills.😁
Ali your cross stitch is great be very proud & treasure for years I look forward to seeing it in your Halloween decorations Wow wow wow what fabulous gifts you have been sent & so well deserved VLOGTOBER has been so joyous I’ve loved every day Hope you recovered from your nightmare Halloween 🎃 park night Love to all 🥰
Framing cross stitch - iron on wrong side normally through a slightly damp tea towel. Cut thick card (more like board) to the desired size. Centre the design on the board and cut around the board leaving a good margin of material. I generally leave at least an inch. Using strong thin sewing thread starting from one side lace to the other side. Continue back and forward as evenly as possible. Then repeat top to bottom. Lacing maintains an even tension and not using glue or tape mean there is less chance of chemical damage to the work.
The cross stitch turned out amazing!! I had a lovely catch up of a few days of your vlogs, it’s been busy here with the kids home for half term. Tonight you kept my company while I crafted and put together little treasure boxes for my son’s pirate themed birthday kids party tomorrow. Thank you for the company and entertainment!
80's hair is the best hair! I honestly think your hair looks nice when it is wavy. Your cross-stitch looks so nice in a frame! You and Dan are great parents to subject yourselves to the Fright Night! Thanks for another great vlog. I am sad it is coming to an end!
I love your cross stitch! Just a tip for ironing cross stitch next time, I fold a towel, put the cross stitch face down on it and iron the back. Stops stitches and other embellishments from going flat. ❤
This vlog felt like a Halloween version of Christmas morning! Your joy was infectious 😊 Your x-stitch turned out so well, and I ♥️ the 🍄 pillowcase, too!
I’ve read the Vampire Knitting Club series. They are quick light reads. Your cross stitch is adorable! Looking Halloweeny for your trip to the spooky place. Good luck!
Such lovely goodies! I have made some of the vinyl front pouches for cross stitch in the past too and they are great for seeing what your project is at a glance, they also keep everything nice and flat as well! I'm thinking of making some crochet project bags with vinyl too for this reason. I do love a freshly made cushion cover too :) froggy!!! That cross stitch looks awesome!!!!! Oh and fab makeup for fright night too, not sure I would ever go to a fright night event as I would either run screaming or lash out, I don't do well with being scared.
This was an exceptionally enjoyable vlog today, Ali. Your gifts from viewers were great, especially those from Lizzy! I've gotten a couple of her bags, and they're wonderful, but I'd kill for a cross stitch bag like she made for you! So talented, as are you, by the way, creating such good makeup for your night out. Phoebe looked good as well, and we all know Dan always looks frightful.....good, frightful good!😂 (adore you Dan). Your cross stitch framing was perfect, Ali. The entire thing turned out so well. What does Lillia have planned for Halloween, is she dressing up and attending any doings at school? Hugs to you all!!
Hi Kelly, thank you for your lovely comments (& past purchases!) I'm making the cross stitch project bags for sale, there are several on my page for ideas. It's just the cushion cover I can't do as the fabric has been discontinued and is in very short supply....
Hi Ali, thank you for your wonderful vlogtobers so far, very enjoyable to watch listen and join in, love your make up face painting, and going to one of those freight night zombie scary themes, we have one call farmer gedden in Merseyside, they are fun. Happy you deared to enjoy hahaha xxx love jeanette and family xxx
Ha ha ha that looked like a lot of fun🧹🎃 lovely presents Ali, those bags are so thoughtful and nice as are the other gifts you received. Your cross stitch looks great in the frame, I guessed you figured out how to do it. One tip I can give you though if you don't mind, is to iron your cross stitch on the back, covering it as you did to protect any embellishments or metallic threads you may use. Ironing on the back of the work plumps the stitches up rather than flattening them😀. Great vlog as always and lovely to see beautiful pheobes again👋
Hi Ali - can't remember whether it was this video or the previous one, but I've emailed you some help for the sake of your poor finger that you decided to include in your sewing recently! All the details are in the email... hope that helps prevent future stabby stabby's!! Much love from Oz, Chickie xx p.s. I've been loving the vlogtober ep's and sad that today (for me) is the 31st but happy I still have a couple of vlogs to look forward to from you. Come oooooon Vlogmas!! lol...
Your cross stitch looks amazing. Tip for next time you frame a finished piece, use a cardboard mount in the frame so that your stitches aren't pressed against the screen xx
Hiya Ali! I just wanted to second the recommendation for the Vampire Knitting books! I have been lucky enough to find the first few on Libby, but I am going to have to get creative with the rest.
Oh Ali, I always wanted to recommend you the Vampire Knitting club series, but I always forget. I enjoyed this series soooooo much! I listened on storytel and the narrator, Sarah Zimmerman, was fabulous. It is cosy, funny, not predictable and hartwarming, I can not recommend it enough. Thank you for your daily vlogs, all the work you put into it. Take care, love from Belgium, Lieve
Ali! You are the brave one! looks like you all had a great time being spooked! Totally unrelated, but...just finished listening to an audio book that you. might enjoy..Darling Girls by Sally Hepworth......gave it a 4.75 lol.... so enjoy your vlogs, will miss you in November!!! Thank you!!
Loved watching you open your packages. Love your outfit. Love your cross stitch! I could never get the hang of it. I’ll stick to knitting. 😄

Your laughter while opening the parcels gave me so much joy!! :D
The cry from women all over the world “You’re not wearing that are you?” 😂😂😂. Thank you for Vlogtober Ali, really enjoyable. X
Make sure you put a date on the back of your beautiful cross stitch so when you bring it out every year you can think back on 2024!
I’m going on the Lay Family Retreat this weekend too! I’ve been several times before and I’m really excited. See you on Friday xx
Really!? Oh my gosh! This is fabulous news! See you on Friday 🤗🤗🤗

Your Halloween Fright Night looked great. Happy Halloween to you all. ❤

Great gifts received. The spooky place looked fun, hope you didn’t lose your voice screaming! Loved your cross stitch 👏👏👏👏👏🎃🍁🍄🍂🍄🟫🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃
Phoebe is growing up so fast she's very pretty..
Congratulations on your finished cross stitch! I loathe framing things so generally use a hoop or get it done professionally, but you did a fab job 👏
