Picked this one up in Asda for 9 quid today and I love it. I love the teal colour schemes. This sits nicely on the shelf next to the Creator 3in1 teal and mustard miniscale monster truck released last year.
Totally agree with your review! I was instantly smitten with this cute set and bought it for my grandson to get him interested in Lego technics. (more of this system/technic cooperation please.) He loves cars and planes.
I really like when lego sets have an A and B model gives us something to do or that whole combination thing they did awhile ago i really liked when they did that as well so as you can tell im a huge fan of this set
It's interesting that you mention sets with a best of both from technic and system. I loved building model team sets as a kid and always felt like those had a technic inspiration to them.
the jet plane was mayybee based on the XP series patented in WWII.but,due to inefficiencies in speed and practicality,they were never flown into battle.they were three planes with the concept of having propellers on the back,being called “pusher planes”.
I really love building Lego's even its Hard and kinda make me mad, but until now I really still love Lego's! I really hope I can buy this Lego 42117, I really like it!
It might be a turboprop(simplistic a jet engine driving a propeller) rear engine configuration. But yea they are rare in single configuration and even more so in delta. Most pics I find of delta rear props looks to be experimental or proof if concept
I have lots of videos about Power Functions and Powered Up, but since PF was discontinued by LEGO I will focus more on the solutions still available in the future. I’m just as confused as you are with why model B is supposed to be a jet and yet it’s propeller driven. Maybe it’s a turboprop where the propeller is driven by a jet engine but that would still hardly count as the propeller still produces about 9/10 of the thrust in a turboprop with only the remaining 1/10 of the thrust coming from jet that drives the propeller.👍
Lego mini classic xerion, Lego buggy, Lego skid steer and Lego race plane, all are small, cheap Lego sets so which one is the best? (I asked the same question to sariel brick and pets also but he didn't reply.)
Maybe because such questions make little sense this way. Which one is best for whom? Best for a kid, best for an AFOL, best play experience, best building experience? If you ask "Which one is your favorite small Technic set?", then I can answer that - Currently the skid steer loader (considering A & B models) and then the race plane comes as a close second.
@@RacingBrick I am myself a 10 year kid, and already have the dragster set and many Lego creator bricks. I also like the skid steer the most out cheap Lego sets. I want a cheap, small, cute Lego set especially with lot of gears because the dragster has no gears.
Hmm. Definitely inferior to the 42044 Display Team Jet from 2016 in terms of looks, especially the B model - even with 40 more pieces and more interesting gearing.
In my parents home I have similiar but way older set with red airplane and the same wheels. I do not remember but it is 12-20 years old. Maybe someone remembers set number?
I think my phrasing was not clear enough :) The push propeller is quite common, but you rarely see it combined with delta wings and the most confusing part is to call it a "jet airplane".

I picked this one up for my kids, but it wasn't long before I was completing the build. They love playing with the plane, though.
that happens a lot. I picked a lego technic motorcycle for my kid, but ended up assembling it myself.
The easiest Lego technic to build, highly recommended Lego technic, low price, 2 in 1, working function ,and mini.
