I bought all three available in 12” 10” & 8” and I couldn’t be happier and more impressed with these speed grips by Channellock. Man I’ve been able to really put some weight & force into these speed grips and it doesn’t slip not one bit. They are built like a tank. Channellock really knocked It out the park on these! By the way I saved money buy buying these separately on Amazon instead of buying the 8”&10” bundle that’s Offered & then buying the 12” separately.
I have all 3 of those pliers and they are superb and grip . Despite made in the USA 🇺🇸 I love made in the USA and still hold their tradition for great pliers. They are my favorite pliers as all the channellock brand and line of pliers. Have yet to break all my Channellocks and use the heck out of them. Great video sir They are very handy tools as well.
I've got a bunch of water pump/channel lock style pliers from tiny to huge because they are handy for so many things.. I like my cobras the best but may have to give these a try. They look interesting, kinda like channel locks and cobras got together and had children. 😊
I have all 3 of these pliers and now their v-jaw version 10 and 12 inch and they grip pipe and fasteners just as good as the straight Jaw version try out the v-jaw version and see for yourself sir.
I love channel lock but not these ! I dropped them once and the magnetic peice broke off lol channel lock did replace it 👏 but I prefer the old style channel locks!!
As much as I love USA made tools , I’ll stick to my Knipex cobras , slimer handles, the jaw design is amazing and they are thin, and somehow the teeth just keep going
Bro the fucking Cobras are a beast! Knipex is just crazy good. I would prefer USA tools too but whatever helps make my job easier is what I'll go with.
I love channel locks and USA made tools but you are right. Go watch the Project Farm test of tongue and groove pliers and you can see that the cobras by Knipex are unbeatable. The original channelocks are good but not even glose to being as grippy, durable and well performing as the cobras. I do wonder how these new ones would perform in that same test though. They seem like amazing pliers. I do think that the jaws should be slimmer though.
Got a pair as a plumber as always used channellock so thought give a go unfortunately for domestic plumbing they are no good they are too thick so can't get grips and spanner on when trying to hold and tighten a nut on compression fittings also the design means in terms of size they don't open anywhere near as much as others of same size overall well made but not overly functional get some knipex 🤷
Don't fall for these junkie Miss aligning nightmares to use pliers. If you want the best-made pliers for just a few dollars more than what these guys are selling for you go with Knipex pliers. They are superior in so many ways you can't even begin to list them..
LOL The button adjustment is far superior. Imagine owning a 10" pier that get outperformed by a German box joint. Let's not forget they crush your fingers.
Made in Germany > Made in the USA. Gedore and Knipex are superior while being half the weight. Knurling is useless since you should be deburring properly.

I'm glad this wasn't a knuckle busting review!
I've been eyeing these pliers for awhile!

Thanks Tim! I’ve been waiting for this one!
The channel lock nut buster ( #410)pliers work very well in both directions
Another great review Tim looks like a new investment 👍
Just buy Knipex or Gedore.
Pretty impressing cracking 116 ft lbs w pliers.

On my list to buy now.
Looks like a winner .
When I need a pair of pliers that really bite, I always grab my 🇺🇸 made speed grips.
Pretty cool!
One word: Knipex
Shop tool, on the 12 inch the length of the jaws look shorter than the full open measurement. Can you tell me the length of the jaws on the 12 inch ?

Love Channellocks, but man they were so behind Knipex.
Guess what I don’t need more of yet I’m going to buy just because of the flag…
🤙🤙🇺🇸🇺🇸
For older people - Waterpump Pliers.
I'm much older. Always called them channellocks.
They look bulky as hell. I've heard a lot of stories of these breaking, I wonder what's going on with that.

Agreed my Cobras are probably my favorite tool I own

Hmm. Knipex pilers better ?
Love my Chanell lock it's a wrench, hammer and shovel and no button to foul up. Nope ya lost me with the button. If is not broke don't fix it.
It's worse than any other mechanism to exist.

Eh, I'll just stay with Knipex's Cobra pliers, just wayyy better...
Hopefully they fixed these but I bought these when they came out and they're terrible, worst pliers ever made

Over-engineered I'll stick with the old ones
Should say ruining a classic. If it ain't broke, don't fix it!
