This was super helpful. I've got the same problem. I can turn the wipers off if I try a few times, but if the switch gets any worse it'll be a real problem. I imagine myself going down the highway with the wipers stuck on, and getting so annoyed that I pull a circuit breaker, but like you said that's stupid, especially given how simple this is.
My question is that white stuff on the connector, is that some kind of heat compound or thermal paste or something? All the new ones I see have clean connectors and I am wondering if I do this myself should I be putting something on the connector. I am just worried about damage to other components. Great video.
Usually it's Dielectric Grease. Its used to create a better connection (connectivity) and to prevent the connector from seizing together. The grease come in clear or white and is used a lot on trailer connectors. It can come in a tube or a spray and will dispurse water away from the connector so no corrosion takes place.
Literally had the same issue happen yesterday, part comes tomorrow. Thanks for taking the time to do this.
Great video, right to the point. Took me less than 10 minutes
Glad it helped

It is a smple repair, just take you time to not to break any plastic that's held by a screw or two.
Thanks for posting. I watched this video and decided to fix mine because of it. I needed a magnet. Lol.
Glad I could help
