    As you look up at the former 6th floor of the Texas School Depository (now 6th Floor Museum), you may remember during the time of that terrible event, the Hertz Rent-A-Car sign was at the top. The sign was removed and is stored in the same building somewhere and it is set up on special occasions. The last time was a few years ago when it was the 50th anniversary of the event. Perhaps the next time, in 2023 which will mark the 55th anniversary, the sign may be put up. I inquired as to why the sign is not just left there and was told that the roof was weak and may not support the sign if it was left there all the time. But it WILL appear on what is considered special occasions. It was also put up when the Oliver Stone movie was filmed as well as the TV-movie on JFK.

    • @TheHeavensFellen
      @TheHeavensFellen 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      its actually because the sign when mounted, acts like a wind sail, pulling on the roof structure in strong winds. Did they really put the sign on roof for 50th? 2023 will mark the 60th anniversary of his death.

      Exactly! Perfect easy shot but nothing places Oswald in that 6th. floor window for sure. The assassins knew this was too obvious a spot so they chose to shoot well past the the 6th. floor window for the target zone. I still can't see why Oswald would shoot at roughly 350ft. away when the corner after Houston and Elm was less than say 80- 100ft. I any case I don't believe Oswald could have done such an accurate shot to the head given the distance, the time frame, the inadequate range of the rifle scope, the recycling of a single bolt action rifle done manually after each shot, taking new aim on a moving target and not to mention nervousness! I don't believe he could even pull it off at all. Weather Oswald was a shooter or not he wasn't alone! At least 3 snipers were in that shooting so fuck the Warren report, they weren't there!!

      On Houston Street, that would have been exactly in front if the police station.
      I believe it was well coordinated and the signal was by the Umbrella man. He was the closest and saw nothing. Unreal! They only found him during the 1978 investigation. I believe it was a planned, coordinated to be at that spot.
      Why did they spend all morning chasing people from that spot!??

      @@melvingeloneck3344 You have to go to the Sixth Floor Museum to check out the angles and the trajectories. The three shots while the car was on Elm allowed a perfect echoing chamber where few people could tell where the shots came from. Four people actually watched Oswald fire. Wrong. Walk up the hill, go behind the fence. That is where the kill shot was fired. Also, there were MANY photos taken that day. True , only ONE video camera got the actual shooting. ANYONE that testified the truth, mysteriously died. Zapruder film was doctored also. It is sad that the public was lied to and now they make money in the TSBD. You can't sell tickets on the "Grassy Knoll". It is a public area. People STILL believe what was told to them by the media that day. It is shameful. Yes, I was alive then, and so many just believe what the media told them. A lot of people that weren't even born come to Dallas and get fed the Oswald story. NOBODY ever saw him pull the trigger. I think Oswald acted alone, The first shot had completely missed the motorcade, the second shot took kennedy in the neck and exited out his right nipple then entering Governor Connally, the 3rd shot aka the fatal shot took kennedy in the side of the head, so I think it was only oswald because it is very possible, and if you have been there in person you can actually see how close it is. I also think the 2nd shooter theory is wrong as well, in the zapruder film kennedy's head rocks forward when he was shot, if it had come from the grassy knoll it would have rocked towards jackie, not to mention the bullet would have probably gone through John and hit jackie as well, just my opinion

      Yes that might be so. But some anti-Castro Cubans were involved. In particular Eladio del Valle, Herminio Diaz Garcia, and Antonio "Tony" Cuesta. The two first were shooters. I am not sure whether or not Tony Cuesta was involved in the shooting. But he was involved in the whole operation. Two of Herminio Diaz Garcia's best friends have confirmed his taking part in the shooting, namely Reynaldo Martinez and Tony Cuesta.

    I believe two shots were fired from TSBD and at least two from the grassy knowle area, some say they heard three some say four shots were fired, doesn't matter who was behind the killing, I believe at least one shot was fired from the area front of the limousine hence his head exploding at the back, just my theory.

      It certainly is a theory as no evidence backs it.

      There was no one behind the fence on the grassy knoll at the time of the shooting. That is directly from eyewitness Lee Bowers who could see the fence area on the other side at the time of the shooting.

    Uh, not a very remarkable video. "This is the place where the 'official' video was made" by Abraham Zaprueder. Since when did they call his movie the "official" one?? A very amateuristic video.

      Of course it is Phil ;) This is what I do as a hobby; I travel and I share my experiences, I'm not some sort of discovery Channel reporter or anything like that to document everything perfectly on my videos, the idea is to share the experience of visiting the Museum. If you expect a professional documentary I don't think travel vlog channels are the right place to look😉

      Maybe it sits well with the fact that I love traveling, that I was grateful for that trip, and how happy it makes me to enjoy life exploring and visiting new places even if sometimes these are memorials. ;) There's always a different point of view... and I'd rather be on the positive side!
