Glad to hear you are feeling more like yourself. Hang in there and try and be patient, you have decades of fitness adventures ahead of you, I promise! 🏊♂️ 🚴🏽 🏃🏽♂️
I know a guy who was a first round NFL draft pick. He was projected to be a great player….he played well for the first half of his first year. Then the injuries started. One injury after another. Shoulder surgery, two knee surgeries, ankle surgeries, back surgeries etc. His career only lasted 3 years or so. He got very depressed and was even suicidal for a bit. Turned to substances to deal with the feeling of letting people down and disappointment. Having a passion for something and having it taken away, even temporarily, by something beyond your control can certainly lead to depression. Get better and take care of yourself. Be honest about your feelings and if you need help, don’t be afraid to ask for it.
Thank you, Is definitely been the worst two years of my life and I’m still dealing with it. Right now I’m 14 weeks post surgery and I’m scared of messing up what was surgically done. I’m also fearful of a bilateral hip labral tear due to identical pain on the right side. But I just had to put all my faith and trust in God that he has a purpose and a plan for this scenario and the situation I am in. I hope Running is in my future because if it’s not, I’m scared for what is the come
@@Chrislubey__1 Hang in there. It is easy to push too hard once you start to feel better and feel yourself getting stronger. You seem to have a good family around you which is huge. Having a twin is also unusual and a powerful connection. Embrace those people around you and let them support you. Sometimes it’s hard to accept support. Especially when dealing with issues and depression. That was always a struggle for me…..being able to accept help. Needing help every now and then is not weakness or anything else. Being honest with yourself is key. There are a lot of resources around to take advantage of if you need to. I’m an old guy with a bad back and had bad shin splints and I gimped and limped my way through my first marathon a few years ago. I’ve always been envious of folks who could run in a real way, a competitive way. Keep it going….without overdoing it. I’m a fan and I’m sure a lot of others are as well. As for the ex NFL player he now has a good career in a “normal” field has a great family of his own and is doing well. What are your long term goals running? The most important thing is taking care of yourself as a person first and then an athlete.

888 subs at the moment I'm writing this. What a nice number, let's just stay here forever. 😁
Let’s hope we only go up from here and not down😀
