I think those phones were more healthy they gave me a break from the internet , now that it's always around me sometimes it becomes overwhelming having that constant input and also effecting my sleep. I've been having to turn the phone off at night now.
@@thtpst7827 If you have self control, you can handicap your smartphone to turn it more into a dumbphone. Turn off WiFi and data. Turn off notifications. Remove all the apps the phone will let you remove. Only use it to answer/make calls and text. Try it out and see if you could go full-blown 2008. :-)
One song is Take Your Time by Dan Lebowitz and the other I believe is Sunshine on Sand by Unicorn Heads On Beach! I’m glad it helped get you excited! 😊
This was a great look into flip phone use and I love that you used the flip phone to check in and vlog to us; the quality is actually not as bad as you would think it would be; definitely doable. I’m switching to a Nokia 2760 flip phone from Tracfone here soon; I’m excited and that phone comes with a 5mp camera instead of just 2mp so the quality will hopefully be a little more doable
Except for TH-cam that I've kept due to my blog it links to, I quit all social media and it was a great decision. I hate how smartphones are getting bigger and bigger!
It is the commercial world who WANT YOU , to have a smart ? phone . LIFE is easier for THEM , not always for you . I love some tech , but detest "Smart" phone tech . Never downloaded an app to date ( 28.1.23 ) . I have a flip phone TT970 and love it .
Very interesting! I'm 29 so I grew up with flip phones, but haven't thought about them in so long
I loved flip phones
My favorites were the slider phones. I loved my orange and black Samsung SGH-A737 in 2008!
Omg yes those were awesome too....

That's good to hear! I hope to find a balance with social media one day, but I think it is awesome that quitting it has worked for you!
