I always try to reach rank 5 as fast as I can so I can play these meme decks against netdecks. The grind is normally too much time investment for me to reach legend so Meme is what I like to play.
And what exactly happens when you reach rank 5? What is so much superior about rank 5 that you have to climb up to there first, before starting to have fun with the game?

I make it in the first week normally. Also at rank 5-1 people tend to play the best decks of the meta on a regular basis. It's just more fun to crush those with your meme creations. Oh and yes golden epic :D
Defile is the best interpretation of a WoW idea into HS. The way the card works is thematically the same way the mechanic worked in the Lich King fight. Kudos to whoever designed that one.

I am really impressed with the first player. He played a tier 1 deck right after expansion, almost 2 months ago it became meta.

What’s the point of having the quest if you’re never gonna complete it. The longer you wait the less value you get. Quest warlock should revolve around completing the quest, and other cards to support your imps

I feel like there is a package here people are missing of just quest and one cataclysm turn ten you can play quest, clear, and portal. Seems good with not too much devotion.

is queen lanathel needed? I got the quest in apack, and have the other stuff. I will probs try running this as the quest looks really cool and I love warlock, but I really don't want to craft queen lanathel.

I say go for it! The entire premise of hearthstone is fun, crazy moments, and that's just what this deck provides! Just don't expect to hit legend with it, lol
So you have 3 legendaries that fit the discard archetype...if you disenchant all 3 of them, you get 1200 dust. It will cost you 800 dust to craft 2 cataclysms. The 3 legendaries are kind of useless without cataclysm, so you should either invest a little bit of dust to make the deck work or disenchant and give up on the deck
I don't know why he runs two of them in this deck really, you can probably get away with just 1 and it's probably correct anyways. Other than the 4 mana board clear into portal, the other one will just be a 4 mana maybe tap into something else to do. If you really want another trigger for the quest that's what deathwing is for.
instead of cata, I just wish they would of gave us more stuff to res discarded cards. I had more success than expected before kobalds with a control disco quest lock running only 2 doomguard and 2 of the 3/8 guy to trigger the quest. Always had plenty of cards in hand and ran lots of big stuff so mancer would generally res something quite good but it felt bad that that was the only cards I had to get my discards back

He wasn't even considering that cataclysm was his out for if the opponent gets dangerous things on board, he didn't consider that the portal is worth killing one or two of your creatures and ACTUALLY WAITED to play it when he didn't have anything in hand - even though it is best played early. If you look at 5:25 it was something I would have played cataclysm on EVEN WITHOUT THE QUEST.

Might be a stupid question but how is he ever going to buff Lanathel? I mean, he only discards cards with cataclysm, which kills Lanathel or Deathwing, which also kills Lanathel
There's a chance he gets lanathel after playing deathwing or cataclysm. It's pretty low though and probably a bad card, I kind of have to assume not a lot of thought process was put into building this deck as it has multiple things I would change and those are things I thought of in the time period of just watching this game. I would also remove one cataclysm, since the 2nd one is kind of redundant.
I don't think the quest is bad. You can easily win against aggro and midrange without it. But against control it's great.
Never became a legend in this game... because I love play decks like this... FUN...
