    As someone who grew up in a traditional household where boys did outside things and girls did inside things, I found my culinary skills were severely underdeveloped by the time i was 23 yrs old. This page does wonders for giving me options and clear instructions. Thank you so much.

      That's great to hear. I always tell my Football Players that if you can't cook for yourself, clean your clothes, and home on your own "You're a Momma's Boy!" Military men all learn to cook for themselves and do these things. Cooking for yourself is the sure fire way to know you can maintain your physique. This above meal is perfect. You can adjust the macros by swapping the rice with move veggies and greens.

      Yes!!! They are like 1.45, but it should be the first time buy is 35.00 then after that it becomes 1.45

      i'm hoping it'll do the same for me! my groc bill is INSANE. i know how to cook, but i get scattered between too many diff things and 'potential' meals, and it's not economical and can also lead to food waste if i overbuy for that week.
      cooking is one skill. planning meals is another. doing that PLUS finding a way to do it (healthy and variety also) without busting the bank is a whole nother!!

    Presentation of the recipes was great nice improvement. Love the way you presented the mis en place. Also never abandon the elsa bowls. I use your prep recipes all the time, always great, practical and straightforward.

    I love how you give both specific measurements and general ones. For instance in previous recipes I have seen you call out some thing like XXg of tomatoes, and then procede to use a medium tomato. This gives my brain so much necessary freedom to use up my food and not throw away extra bits!!

    If you don’t like those mirepoix, just grate them into paste, fry with oil, they turn into amazing pan sauce that coats the protein of choice nicely.

    Love the videos. I started meal prepping / improving my diet based off of your videos. The first meal I made was your firecracker beef. No joke the second thing I made was a riff off of the beef recipe but instead of spice I used Teriyaki sauce and a little local honey. I have loved trying your recipes and they have helped inspire me to get back in the kitchen and try a few different things.

    Your tip about mashing down the ground beef, turkey, chicken, bison, ostrich whatever.... is the best thing I have done to improve the flavors of my meal preps! Great tips and great recipes. I have cooked many of yours and have loved them all thank you. The sarcasm and humor helps too!

      yeah the overly staged, kinda pretentious, fabricated world people present, is kinda annoying actually. i like this down to earth, quick n dirty presentation along with not taking things too seriously.
      did i know i needed to laugh with my cooking/recipes? NOPE, but i most certainly do. it's great. these are good even just for entertainment value.

    good tips. Buy when things are on sale, and buy in bulk. Another tip I want to give is: Eat stuff that is in season. In the fall: Appels and pears tend to be more cheap and other fruit will be more expensive. In the winter carrots onions kale will be more affordable etc etc. I love your recipes keep it up josh!

    For the banana I prefer 180C (350F) in the oven a few minutes (8-ish usually), until the *skin* is 100% brown (some say more time to black skin but that's MEH to me). It turbo-ripens the banana and will be much more flavourful.

      Protein by itself isn't going to make you bulk. It can make you feel fuller though. You can leave the whey out though. The only purpose for that is to increase the protein content.
