Jones is obviously incredible (and that accent..wow), but the gun store owner is one of the best small side across I've ever seen. This feels more like a documentary than a movie, the acting is that natural and believable.
People dont actually know that the gun he used was once a police firearm. It was handed into the victorian government in 1987 in the amnesty they had. It went dark, made its way into tasmania were it ended up in the hands of terry hill, were martin bryant purchased it from. He then went on to commit April 28th, 1996.

We had laws some tighter than others it’s just that the level of trust in our society was so high that the cops barely ever bothered to seriously enforce them until one guy did the unthinkable.

There isn't any footage only testimony but what's critical is the fact that the guy who originally sold Bryant his guns believes it wasn't him because he would frequently go to the shop to have them disassembled after getting the wrong sized mags stuck in his AR.

What astounds me about the real life incident is that the perpetrator of this monstrous crime went from having NEVER touched a gun in his life, to being an absolute, professional Marksman shooting and killing people with pinpoint accuracy while being under extreme stress the whole time.

Not quite right on victoria which still allowed .22 semi auto. All states allowed semi auto .22 prior to 96.
