Such a great actor and still young! My favorite character he played was Red in Three Billboards. I feel like he got snubbed for a Best Supporting Actor Oscar in that.
This is an example of somebody who is very unique in their own right and is often cast because they are not only a good actor but that uniqueness still shines through in every character they play. I am not saying he is equal to, but it is a similar philosophy that you would find with Christopher Walken or even an Aubrey Plaza. He is just quirky and weird enough with every character, and I would argue he is just quirky and weird enough in real life.
what a unique character and personality. you can tell he's passionate about what he does and feels a compelling internal drive to do it, like this is what he's obsessed with.
I just watched Caleb in 'Nitram' and it was very naturalistic and of course, as an Australian; I was utterly convinced by his accent and the film itself was terrifying.
This guys a genius. Every character he plays in the last few years really strikes me, and knowing his previous acts i always question his motives in the movie. I believe he adds great depth with his acting and seeing him in interviews is really interesting!
Same here. It was only after watching him in Dogman recently that I finally recognised him and made me interested to see his next projects. I hear he will play Dracula next in another Luc Besson film.
Man i found this guys album on bandcamp called 'The Mother Stone' and i can't stop listening. It sounds a lot like the beatles mixed with a great film score. I definitely can't recommend it enough, it's so good
I have been attracted to him since watching Antiviral. I was waiting for it to come up and it didnt. I really love his voice, his mannerisms, his demeanor. He is a good, good guy.
This guy is such a talented actor. “ Nitram “ was an absolutely fantastic movie. He played the part perfectly. He has a bright future for sure. He’s going to be one of the greats.
This guy has the right combination of acting chops and likeability with a big air of mystery that makes him seem dangerous. He's really good in "The Outpost", I thought he carried most of the heavy acting in that one.
was about to point out exactly that, specially because he doesnt play a douche or a psycho, its actually a very vulerable character and had such a unique chemistry with Saoirse Ronan. Well at least we know about it haha
hearing him talk makes me wanna sleep, like it calms me or sets me in a dreamy mood, he sounds like he wants to sleep so bad or he's high asfuck and he transfer that feeling to me idk
this guy reminds me of the late heath ledger's acting timeline. although the former isn't an A listed actor like the latter (yet), both of them played roles you would deeply empathize for (three billboards & brokeback mountain) and be extremely scared of (get out & the dark knight). the range!! so excited to see more of caleb landry jones.
I saw him first in God's Pocket, then Get Out and then a few small cameos here and there. I always wondered if his way of speaking in films was his actual voice or an affectation. Now I know it's just his voice lol. He kinda reminds me of the American version of Alfie Allen. Can you imagine how surreal it would be watching a buddy road trip movie or something starring Caleb Landry Jones and Alfie Allen?
he really is an incredible actor, i would also say his roles in antiviral and byzantium are spectacular and super underrated... great interview!! (does this count as an interview)
i wanna see all of the mutants who died in first class again :( we never got to see them develop, or even see them in passing in the other movies. they’re fictional characters, and marvel ones at that, so they could be resurrected at any time if someone wanted them back bad enough. but i just wish they never died in the first place
Always love it when Caleb Landry Jones shows up in a movie! After watching this interview, I gotta say, the dude is even more peculiar in real life. See 10:01 LOL.
His acting in his final scene in Twin Peaks: The Return is riveting. The character is a crazy mess by then, but he's so intense and emphatic with every word. I saw him in several things that came out the same year (Get Out, Three Billboards, Florida Project), and he was always so different. I had no idea until now that he was the bike boy in No Country and Walt Jr.'s best friend on Breaking Bad.
I thought there was never going to be anyone who held the amount of sheer insanity and psychotic likability that heath ledger brought to the joker... but I think caleb landry jones could be exactly that.
Not commented on celeb content before, ended up watching this while researching something else, but I completely get Caleb's demeanour, like most creatives, myself included(albeit in another format) one gets on board, complete the project and move on, some things, especially film, painting and art are particularly difficult to dissect and discuss unless you were involved in the process, also, I know so many creative people that experience anxiety when they have to talk about themselves or their approach. Caleb, all the best to you, keep marching to your own drum x
I love how he just seems like " you know I'm lucky that I get to act .........but look at all these OTHER people I've had the pleasure of working with " nice lad
First 20 seconds really set the mood for the entire video.
Your comment made me laugh so much lmao
He was outstanding in "Dogman". More main roles to him please!
YES PLS, is much better than a lot hollywood mediocre actors
I watched Dogman last night. He deserves an Oscar! His performance was nothing short of brilliance!!!
@@Cat-gl9cm I thought so too. I was surprised he wasn't even talked about.
He's had quite a good career so far. He's kind of got a young Steve Buscemi vibe. He was great in Get Out.
Such a great actor and still young! My favorite character he played was Red in Three Billboards. I feel like he got snubbed for a Best Supporting Actor Oscar in that.
Absolutely terrifying. Perfect casting there.
I agree, that movie made me a fan of him
feel like its more of a willem dafoe junior vibe. brilliant actor
I met him twice in Vegas. Such a lovely and friendly person. So down to earth. Love is all he emanates
I envy you so much 😩

like Lakeith Stanfield
I think he’s just stoned
well said
totally agree
His music is incredible
Yeah, if you look at his own stuff, it's really just wonderfull. So to speak, ha.
He's weird, but I like him.
I watched the movie "Dogman". I discovered another talented Hollywood star, Caleb Jones. Charismatic handsome guy.
what a unique character and personality. you can tell he's passionate about what he does and feels a compelling internal drive to do it, like this is what he's obsessed with.
He's like a cross between Brad Pitt and Macaulay Kulkin
True 💖
He’s gorgeous
I can't unsee this now. This is spot on. Lol
Just Macaulay…
with Heath Ledgers smile.
I just watched Caleb in 'Nitram' and it was very naturalistic and of course, as an Australian; I was utterly convinced by his accent and the film itself was terrifying.
Yep I thought he was Aussie 😆😆
He was absolutely fantastic in that.
Watching this now. Had to stop half way and look him up.
He is absolutely incredible. I had no clue he was born in Texas..WTH? Amazing actor.
Just watched that today, how disturbing aye
This guys a genius. Every character he plays in the last few years really strikes me, and knowing his previous acts i always question his motives in the movie. I believe he adds great depth with his acting and seeing him in interviews is really interesting!
"I'd flick beans right in your face with a spoon." LOL this guy is about the weirdest person I've seen in ages. Glorious.
Fun fact: at the time of this comments posting, he’s just won Best Actor at the Cannes Film Festival. Quite a feat.
I'm gald he won, he's finally getting the recognition he deserves
not really
well I'll be damned, I'm quite smitten by him. His mannerisms are so endearing
idk if that’s you in your pfp or not, but you’re so pretty !!
There’s just something so captivating about him. I’m so in love.
I'm still waiting for Keanu Reeves Breaks Down His Most Iconic Characters | GQ
They try to keep these pretty short... Making a 1.5h episode would be way too long...!😂😂
Honestly, just give me Keanu Reeves Breaks Down
It's kind of wild how many of this guys movies I've seen without ever realising he was in all of them
Same here. It was only after watching him in Dogman recently that I finally recognised him and made me interested to see his next projects. I hear he will play Dracula next in another Luc Besson film.
This guys vibe is on another level of chill, him and Matthew McConaughey in a movie would be cool beyond cool
I'd like to see him, Ezra Miller, Robert Sheehan, Rami Malek and Jeff Goldblum together in a room. LOL
Don't forget Lakeith Stanfield and Nicolas Cage.
Man what an interesting conversation that would br
Oh my goodness that would be golden
Weirdos galore
Add Crispin Hellion Glover to the mix and you've really got something going.

i really luv his voice💕 underrated actor. so talented
Can this dude be the joker pls
Same thoughts. His mouth even has a similar shape
Came here just to say that.
I still want Willam Dafoe personally but he could be interesting

That was an excellent overlooked movie!
yes that and Antiviral as well!!!
I find his authenticity and uniqueness incredibly inspiring and captivating
I want him to play an absolute maniac
I would say he already has, brilliantly, in a lot of things. Lol
you predicted the future lol

How much weed did this guy smoke before this taping
Cerothel - just the right amount
And maybe a few sips?! I was thinking the same thing!?!
jotron3030 - lmao, as a persons who’s done both, nope. This is probably just his inherent composer.
Its heroine look at his eyes.. watch his posture.
Arthur Fleck heroin*
i could listen to him talk all day
He can play a perfect joker
Trigga Woods I don’t agree. I think he’s too quiet and reserved. He mutters a lot whereas the joker is extremely enthusiastic and outspoken
@@henryalton8119 it's called ACTING, he can be loud and outspoken if the character calls for it

Not going to talk about antiviral?? Really????
ANTIVIRAL is exactly the reason I clicked on this video in the first place. Now THAT was an iconic role.
I MEAN REALLY, COME ON! that was the first reason i clicked on the video

Antiviral's a challenging film to watch

Have you seen nitram?
fav actor since I was 14 I don't crush on celebrities usually but oh boy this guy... he makes music too for those of you who don't know
I like him as an actor, but I need more of his music! "Sleep Machine" ....incredible!
I love this guy ever since I saw him in The Last Exorcism, and every time I see him in something else I get more excited for him. He's amazing.
Every thing he’s in he steals the scene.
They should do this again after Dracula A Love Tale is released, and with his other roles in Nitram and DogMan
Banshee killed off screen was still a huge low blow
It totally was.

And he just won Cannes Palme d’or Award for best actor for Port Arthur massacre Australian movie Nitram…. Many more accolades to follow 👏🏼
He just seems so sweet and chill and nervous and inward. It makes it hard to believe Jeremy is actually him!
Throughout all of this I felt like this dude had no idea where he was and that is part of why I love him

Wow, I knew he was in three 2017 films, but he had no idea he was also in NCFOM and Xmen. For a young man, that's quite a prolific resume
caleb _MUST_ be in the eventual adaptation of ‘the secret history’ - he’s got francis and bunny written all over him

Gotta have Jacob Tremblay breaks down his most iconic roles next... guy‘s a legend
