Jones is obviously incredible (and that accent..wow), but the gun store owner is one of the best small side across I've ever seen. This feels more like a documentary than a movie, the acting is that natural and believable.
He points it at the man that was turned the other way before pointing at the merchant. Edit: just realized that "man turned the other way" was a mannequin😂
Yeah nah didn't happen like this. Gun shop owner sold 2 guns to Bryant - the fn fal and ar10. He fixed Bryant's AR15 which was formally registered to vicpol but didn't sell to him. According to owner he produced a firearm license. Never forget what Unsworth swore exactly one year before the massacre "it will take a mass shooting in Tasmania before we ever have gun control" 🤬
I’m pretty sure some guy came out and said that the FAL Bryant had was his that he turned in to an earlier gun buyback in Victoria the serial numbers he mentioned were only partially found on the gun but a further record check confirmed it was originally his. Very strange
@@r0man767 that may be correct. On thinking im not sure the gun store owner ever did admit to selling him the FAL only the AR10 which he claimed a license was produced for. Whole thing was strange

Is there actually any ( real) video footage of him inside the gunship purchasing these weapons, and conversing with the owner? It's just speculation otherwise.
There isn't any footage only testimony but what's critical is the fact that the guy who originally sold Bryant his guns believes it wasn't him because he would frequently go to the shop to have them disassembled after getting the wrong sized mags stuck in his AR.
Nah man this was a camping store on Elizabeth st. Hobart Town. Dude had guns on the walls and camping equipment everywhere. It was more of a camping store. Not so gun hoe as the movie portrays. Fuck man never that man guns out the back of that store. It’s a UK glorification of Hobart.
What astounds me about the real life incident is that the perpetrator of this monstrous crime went from having NEVER touched a gun in his life, to being an absolute, professional Marksman shooting and killing people with pinpoint accuracy while being under extreme stress the whole time.

True, but he had plenty of target-practice during his time on a friend's 72-acre farm. Neighbors recall that he always carried an airgun on him, and he would shoot tourists stopping nearby or shoot dogs while roaming the property at night.
Not saying 35 people did not get murdered in Tasmania in April 1996, or cars and buildings got set on fire, the event was obviously real, but people should not just believe any government or MSM narrative because they all have their own agenda. I m sure Bryant was not the only one involved in all this, even if he was he could still have been used and set up as a type of patsy. so creepy when the gun shop owner asked martin for a license and then martin said he didn't have one. you could tell things were going to be bad

It’s amazing how confidently people in comments will speak on things they clearly know very little about.

Remember Australia when you could do this. They used to sell semi-auto rifles next to the cricket gear in my local sports shop.
Only the Police,Military and terrorist forces can use these weapons. These gave no place in civilian hands 🙌

How could you know
You cant get a gun without a license, this was an illegal purchase, even back in the 1990's.

Not quite right on victoria which still allowed .22 semi auto. All states allowed semi auto .22 prior to 96.
