Im on Mac, but I cant open the rom folder in the DesMuME :( just wont let me open the pokemon omega ruby

Omega ruby is for 3ds, and DesMuMe is for ds. You need another emulator to play Oras, like Citra

hey i have the same settings and it just runs the game with the sound and the buttons work but all visuals replace a black screen
