Will likely be doing this with my 2018 WRX this off-season. Using a black and white manga (comic book style) fabric. I think I'll do the screw method so it can be taken apart down the road. Only thing that makes me nervous is that cut on the top edge of the fabric that gets tucked into that crevice. Can't push too hard and you gotta get it deep in there, nice and straight. @NN13K0 you can use a piece of steel as a backer. Wedge it into the seam. Lay fabric on. Then use the metal as a backer not to cut into the door card. That may help. I've just gotten used to not pushing hard with the blade. Good luck.

I did the screw method works just fine and makes it easy to undo it again down the line if you wanna change it.
