- Learn how to connect an External Mic to any Android phone. With this, you'll be able to get good quality audio for every video that you record with your phone.
This is a tested method and will work for most android phones without any issues. Please note that we are using a third party camera app called Gcam in this video. Before installing this app, please check if your phone's standard camera app supports this external mic setup.

Some good microphones to consider
Maono USB Lavalier Mic - amzn.to/3ysuC73
Condensor Microphone Kit - amzn.to/3wKWF17
This external mic setup may not work for videos recorded directly via social media apps.
To check audio quality post connecting an external mic, please check the sample clips that I have attached towards the end of the video.
100 percent helpful
Hi, thanks for the video. I recently purchased a Sony ECM-LV1 Lavalier mic and I´m trying to connect it to my Samsung phone. It has a 3.5 jack entry but recognizes the mic as headphones, can you help me solve this, please?
Is it good for singing on smile or starmaker app.
Seems like lavalier mic works better with phone? Condenser mics voice doesn't look clear in the vdo
Yes, I agree with you. Condensor mic works better with a laptop or a PC. Lavalier mics are the best for phones and for someone who is on a budget.
Good job on this video. Thanks.
Glad you liked it!
link to download gcam app is not available in description ( as you mentioned in video)
Will it work for iPhone 15 (it has also c type slot)? I recently purchased a connector it didn't work out. My mic has also this USB cable that needed to be connected to a converter
iPhones are totally different with respect to adaptability. I think it will work, only if you can download some external app (like Open Camera) on your iphone. I don't think the default camera app will allow such mics.
