The comment about Vince's leadership at 1:02 hits hard. I am thankful to Vince for all his hard work, but the truth is there was an entire team of mad scientists that worked alongside him to bring such amazing products to us.
Not just a thank you to your team as the board states, but thank you, to you. Growing up I saw your name on the leaderboards. You made tech feel cool, new and exciting. Something we do not have as much anymore. I never had the money to compete or really buy the best gear but I always pushed what I had access to. So Thank You for being a part of what made growing up in that era awesome.
My first card ever was a random Nvidia GT card and then my first official purchase was a AMD Radeon 6950 and once I sold my PS3 in 2009-2010 I went full blown into PC's and owned anything and everything EVGA until the day you left. I still have every single EVGA card I ever bought. You legit crushed EVGA and made immaculate products for so many across the world. Forever apart of our lives, thank you.
!!!! Honestly we are grateful to have you in the PC world for the time we did. Thanks for everything you do. That MB looks awesome. I have never been disappointed in any of my KINGPIN MB's. Now you have got my attention with your eBikes..... Now I want one !
EVGA BY FAR had the best products out there. My GTX 980Ti is still rocking like a beast. I think I actually had teary eyes when I heard they will no longer continue. Keep rocking KINGPIN. You're a King for a bloody good reason!
Currently watching this on an old PC with an EVGA X58 SLI. I think this was designed before you started working there. This thing is a tank. It runs my Xeons over 4Ghz, and DDR3 up to 2500Mhz. Most of the memory limit is from the CPU's memory controller timing limits. If I had the extra money back then, I would have splurged on their SR-2. Dual socket overclockable CPUs and 7 PCIe slots. So much IO. There's nothing like it today.
I really wanted EVGA to succeed with more of these boards so badly. I can't help but to imagine what an all-white Z890 or Zxxx future platform would look like on these things, sideways power connectors, CAMM2, everything. This design would've been amazing in the future build I'm planning.
I would assume that quite a couple have tried but probably mostly just to put his famous name on their marketing page. I would also assume that Vince isn't just going to go to any random manufacturer/company that wants to work with him either
If you watch Gamer's Nexus last video with him, he's possibly gonna be doing something (or is already) collaborating with PNY *** pikachu surprise face
Been using my Z690 Dark KP as a daily plattform since the drop of Rev 1.2.0. Really the best board I have ever used. I remember the golden days when having 7000c30 in 1T fully stable was something special because no other board could do it.
Keep kicking butt and being you Vince! The 3090ti kp and z790 classified are my two favorite pieces of hardware, using them, just looking at them and admiring the innovation. What a team
Proud owner of x299 dark. It took me 3 months to hunt down all evga parts to make a all evga build. Only thing I dont have is evga ddr4 memory. I am from Australia and they are non existent here.
i really love all the products u have created. i own the 2080 TI card from u and i really enjoyed it. i wish i could of gotten the 30 series kingpin card. keep up the great work u have done & will do in the future man.
You are a Legend. I have a couple of your Kingpin GPU's that I will never EVER sell. Edit: when the day that comes they become obsolete, I will frame them on my wall. They perform so well, I consider them relevant. Til this day, even after almost several years, there is no other engineer like you.
You're like the field of dreams bro. -If you build, they will come. Lol. You take tech to the level tech should be at entry. Quality. Mucho Grande Love.
Man, seeing the passion in this makes me incredibly sad EVGA ended this. Makes me heavily regret not buying one of these boards knowing the love that went into these
Legendary. I wanted one of those bench stands so bad, i was always asking Jacob to add it as channel point redeem on his streams with Peter but he never did :(
Thanks for leading a great team and developing great products. Best wishes to you on your future plans. I am still keeping my 3090 Kingpin around even though i moved onto a 4090.
Blessed to say I lived near the So-Cal HQ. Thank you Vince & the whole team for everything you've done for us. 💪💪 can't wait to see what the future holds
Every time I see your videos, it makes me miss EVGA. They were the best and none of the others can compare. Especially with your OC cards and Motherboards.
I can't wait to see what this legend will do with PNY. This man is probably the biggest reason we had some of the most bad ass GPUs that released. Hope all is well and good luck with whatever you do at PNY. 👍
Thanks for the inside. And yes you are right, it's really hard to see innovation in mainboards. It's also really hard to decide why, if you're just using it "normally" you'd need more than a 'normal' board. There are little really usefull features manufacturers put on the boards that make them stand out. Some try but not often and it's not always a win.
I just hope another company hires you and you can continue your work. I was so excited, proud, and looking forward to my first Kingpin card when the leaks about 4K series cards started. Hearing of EVGAs market exit was such a bummer. I’m grateful for your channel here though and look forward to your future 🙏. If I had to guess, I’d say these clues lead to your next project partnership. I guess I can hope and wish lol. I’m not smart enough for these kinds of secret clue hunting games.
I would've almost bought this board when 13th gen came out, but unfortunately I wanted to have atleast 4 DIMMs for 128GB memory expansion in the future which this didn't have. I wanted it mainly for the 8x SATA-600 as no other vendor seemed to have this and Asus only came with the ProArt Z790 way after the launch so that was not an option for me. But I went for the Z790 Extreme by Asus since I wanted an E-ATX board to fill up the large case a bit better, have 4 DIMMs for 128GB memory. While 6x SATA was not exactly enough it is now sort-of solved with the ROG DIMM.2 slot for M.2 Gen 4 SSDs at PCI-E 4x speeds freeing up SATA-ports while leaving PCI-E 5.0 16x slots unaffected and have some airflow on them as well. I'm grateful either way you came up with all the designs and ideas and helped to set the bar higher for everyone else, I'd love to see more of these 'behind the kingpin scenes' sort of stuff related to the hardware you've created and what the made you make certain design choices and such. EVGA lives on in (y)our soul.
The king has returned! I never own a Kingpin card or motherboard, they were too expensive and never available where I live (Spain) but I was watching almost every single video about these amazing products. Such a shame the market has changed so much with the arriving of the RTX series, NVIDIA become so damn griddy these days.
I loved mine for certain but I kept having issues with the cpu and couldn’t figure out why. Turns out as of late it was the intel issue. So I ended up replacing mine with an amd and my motherboard now sits on a shelf as a display and I’m still glad I bought it. I’m horrible with hidden shit so good luck to the rest of you.
Guess I am that .001% that put his z390 Dark in a case and used it is a (dare I say) "normal" motherboard. I was not interested in extreme overclocking; I just wanted a high-quality motherboard with quality components. The 9900K installed in it was never even remotely taxing what it could handle as it was a mixed rig for some gaming and editing. The onboard audio controller was had a defect, and they were willing to replace RMA it, but I bought one of their NUAudio cards instead. Which led to me discovering an issue with that combo that they later patched. This system is still running today.
Good seeing ya Vince! I have a z490 dark & your 3090 KPE on an Optimus block. It’s too bad about eVga but I suppose all good things must come to an end. Also, I was lowkey hoping you’d be launching your own hardware brand 😂😅
Bought your last X570, Z790 boards and the 3090 Ti Kingpin for sentimental reasons - future retro gaming hardware. :) Unfortunately non of your products were easy to get in Europe. Don't know why EVGA let so much money on the table by just don't providing their products to the biggest single market on Earth.
Very special, thanks, OC Team EVGA ❤ -Juhani Luumi -Clemmens Nussler -Beomseok Won -Vince Lucido "In a DARK place, we find ourselves and a little more knowledge lights our way"
I really wanted this board but it was just too expensive for me, I have the z690 dark instead, using it daily with a 13900k, evga 1600 p2 platinum and 3090ti kp. I love your products !
i allways wonted a kingpin card but never had the bucks for them but i did get a evga rtx 2060 12 gig and its still going and a evga gtx 1070ti and its still rocking in a pc

Posting this comment from an EVGA board, with an EVGA graphics card. Wish they were still around, you guys did great work.
EVGA was on another level. Crossing my fingers for a successor for the KINGPIN line.

Damn. I miss EVGA. Every company needs a Vince
well PNY has a Vince now
Me too. EVGA was absolutely exceptional in every way. Damn tragedy
RAW BEAUTY and SHEER POWER! no gimmick or any bling bling shenanigan. Please dont stop creating and wish you the best in your new found place!

To work for a great company when it never feels like work and the leadership has faith in you is a dream come true.
THIS IS AWESOME!!!! Great to see you back at it, Vince!
X299 dark has been my favorite board to work with. Glad to have two of them.

Vince, I love my Z790 Dark Kingpin. Really great to see this message from you!
What a cool video Vince :D !
Talk about quality products. Just can’t find those type of products anymore, can’t wait to see what companies you work with next, I’ll buy it.
You are the GOAT ! Man I really am glad your making videos again! I cant wait to see what projects you work on next. You are an inspiration brother! 🤠

Australia here, love your content mate, and will buy where you pop up again!
Anyone who wants to be at the top needs to pick him up. His resume is second to none in the field. Crazy no one has tried to get him on their team.

long live the kingpin. honestly i consider you to be the Ken Block (🙏) of pc parts and you continue to prove that every single day.
Thats cool, thanx! KB was epic.
Glad you’re still around Vince.
Thats awesome man, super cool of you KP 👍
Nice to see u Back !
EVGA was my first Mobo and GPU, and I miss them until this day. Still running my EVGA PSU on all my systems. But I still miss this EVGA.

Very good products developed by you for sure.

So cool
OMG THE GOD OF OC!!!!!!
i loved my x570 evga motherboard. I was really hoping they were going to do an AM5. I really wish you guys did it!
