Vicente Garcia actually she was pregnant at the time and has lots of tattoos so that’s why they used a body double, was a lot easier for filming 🙂
If you completely hate a character to a point when you cant stand them, the actor has done a amazing job. Being the good guy is easier. Lena and the guy who played Joffrey was arguably some of the best roles of any TV series. Tremendous

Watching this years later makes me realize how skilled Conan is at interviewing people. His self-flagellation actually made her relax because her body was in flight mode due to anxiety.
In the show, you want to punch her in the face.

I’ve been in a few stage plays myself (more as a hobby/for fun, not for anything serious) and people often comment that ‘I’m so shy in real life’. So I really relate to this. On a stage, it’s like I’m playing a character and I’m confident playing this character because it’s not me. If the character is confident then I become confident. Whereas in real life I’m just playing myself, and as ‘myself’ is not confident, makes me hella shy haha

How has she not won an Emmy. She is absolutely incredible as Cersei. I spent the first 5 seasons HATING her character and then by the end of season 6 she is one of my favorites. She is so good.
It's because Dumb & Dumber keep pushing their favorites, Kit Harrington and Emilia Clarke for Emmys each year. They keep writing scenes for that sole purpose, not caring about the plot of the show pretty much. They don't seem to realize the potential gold mine they have in Lena Headey.

Those people who can't differentiate reality from fantasy clearly have mental issues. I too have been totally convinced by certain actors in that their hated character is all I can see when I look at the actor, but my brain then tells me it's just a character and not the actual person. Her role in Dredd was very menacing as well and she pulled it off so well.
As a kid i was in love with her in Disney live action The Jungle Book, then saw other movies with her later years and was striked with how awesome she is in other roles, beautiful and dangerous looking, and watching these talkshows i like her she is outside scenes.

I have been a fan of Lena's since her very early days and if you don't like Cersei, that is just her being a brilliant actress. She was always really good with romantic comedies because not everyone can do those very well. She seems so cool and she seems really fun, I just want to go bar hopping with her or take some shrooms or something. She is a few years younger than I am.

I can't imagine being mad at Lena Headey. She's a goddess and it's kind of hard to hate any character she plays. I am only like 6 episodes into the series and it's pretty good. Don't know if I'll watch it all but I'll try.

When I see how different these actors really are from their characters, it makes me appreciate them so much more! They really are incredible at what they do and super talented! Game of thrones is 100% my favorite show of all time, in fact I'm literally watching it right now . Just the difference in facial expressions alone is amazing... The way that they carry themselves and articulate so differently as their characters is damn impressive!!!

If she can hold onto power against all odds, then she deserves it fully, no matter what any customs and traditions and rules might say. Those can be changed.

I also read an article about how Jack Gleeson received tons of hate mail and even death threats bc of his role as Joffrey. I’m truly astonished at how absolutely NUTS some of human society is that they seriously think it’s sensible to do something so psychotic. It’s hard to believe that there are people out there that don’t know the difference between the character an actor portrays and the person they actually are. Blows my mind.

I know actors are actors, their job is to pretend to be someone else, but when you see someone play such a strong-willed, mean, forceful, selfish, anything-goes character and then realize the real actress is shy... just amazed at her skill and abilities.

You mentioned Joffrey - an excellent example of a one-dimensional character played so well by the actor that it evokes intense hatred in most viewers. Lena Headey does the same for Cersei's character, who is certainly more complex than Joffrey ever was.
