So you telling me we gonna see this videos for approx 5 years??! Thats epic!! 😀 I will watch every single one ,that i can promise you!
And the lubrication on the oil filter seal is to prevent it from getting stuck
Fantastic! Legend!! Thanks so much for the support 🙌🏼
If this trip takes you 5 years, you're gonna be a master Tuk Tuk mechanic by then, keep it up!
That’s for sure 🤣 it’s gonna be a good time
Love all of your videos mate ❤
Legend!! Thanks so much for the support 🙌🏼
G'day Bud
Great video
I'm incredibly jealous of your adventure
Gold screw?
Ya Muppet 😋
It's a carburettor main jet 😁
Just for your information
If you didn't already know
The larger round spring-loaded slide that you took out of the top centre of the carburettor in the throttle
That's where I mentioned last time that there should be a height adjustable needle (by moving a circlip to another slot on the needle, which adjusts fuel supply) and the smaller round slide thing that you removed is the choke
If you're struggling with high altertude and need the engine to run a bit richer, you could try pulling the choke on a small amount and see whether that helps or makes it worse
Next time you're doing work like that, you should find a shady spot and put a tarp down to work on
At least then, if you drop a screw or whatever, you have a better chance of finding it
Smearing some oil on the O ring of the new filter is definitely the correct thing to do, but next time, use the new fresh oil
You mentioned another part that requires a small amount of oil, was that the gearbox?
If so, did you have the correct oil as it's probably different to the engine oil
An engine oil and filter change every 2500kms seems overkill
Is that really the recommended time frame?
Anyway
Awesome
Keep it up
I look forward to seeing more
Cheers from Australia 🇦🇺
Yeah it’s a wild journey and I am a bit of a muppet. Cheers for the tips legend
Keep up the vids and I’ll keep spreading the word of your channel. Great stuff legend
You’re an absolute legend for that. Cheers
Love the fact that you are just figuring it out as you go. You can tell that’s genuine when you’ve never seen the measurements on the side of an oil bottle!
🤣🤣 for real. I’m not trying to fake anything. You guys get all the ups and downs aha
Great vid, really enjoyed hearing more about your story and plans!
Glad you enjoyed it!
14:25 Yes, if you get a little oil on the oil filter o-ring, that prevents the o-ring from ripping while tightening
Fantastic!!
hate to double comment but "We don't half arse anything we just take an idea and run with it" is such wisdom
Yewww that’s it 🙌🏼😂
I’m Glad I spotted you on Instagram when you bought the Torito. It gives great joy to know we’re going learning with you in this journey of yours. We’re all rooting for you My Brother❤
That’s epic mate! Appreciate the support big time
I've seen videos of people going across the Darien Gap by foot, and it was horrific, with deceased people left and right, people abandoned by relatives (old, women, children), scary situations, brutal conditions - I believe in you, Ryan, but there's no way you can - or should - attempt to drive it. ItchyBoots took her motorcycle around that area by boat, and even that was tough and hard going and she encountered pirates. Think of Patti!
So that “gold piece” you changed was a jet in the carburetor, looked to be a fuel jet.. there’s multiple jets in a carb that help meter fuel and air to get a proper mix, I suggest picking up a jet kit at a shop, it’s alot of different sizes of those gold parts to help tune the carb for the wild altitude changes you’ll be having, possibly a carb rebuild kit as well, all the little rubber gaskets n stuff that can crack n and break when changing jets, I’ve had to change plenty on my classic vw, be safe man!
Legendddd. Yeah that’s some solid advice. Cheers mate
Great to hear all your comments go go RYAN
🙌🏼🙌🏼 fantastic
Banger videos just keep on coming :D
Can’t stop won’t stop 🙌🏼
just wanted to say been here from the start and I LOVE YOU AND PATTI!!🎉🎉
Appreciate you Legend 🙌🏼
Good job, mate - got it down pat!!
Ahah getting there yeah
Brilliant vid mate ❤
Legend mate 🙌🏼
What a day what a day. Telling everyone I know about your channel legend. Ps: just realized the other day that I don’t even know your name.
Cheers legend. My names Ryan but Aussie seems to be what people know me as here 😂
Hi
i love your adventure it looks so fun i would say i would be really tired and annoyed and i wouldnt be able for it but your really good so have a good time
Cheers Legend!! Thanks so much for the support 🙌🏼
Keep up the good work 💪💪
Woohoo
If you don't put oil on the oil filters gasket most likely it won't seal properly when you screw the filter on & it will typically leak quite often afterwards. I would suggest you contact your friends at Motoland & get their advice on plumbing & installing an after market space heater for the rear of a van or similar type of vehicle (small radiator like device), you will find that it will make your life all that more enjoyable once you get further north or up in higher elevations. That is the nice thing about a water cooled engine. Once again let me remind you to dot all the i's and T's for your dog before you attempt to cross the borders into the USA & Canada. Obtain all of Patty's vaccinations & certificate of health declaration from a licensed veterinarian.
For sure!! Legendary advice mate. I’ll look to see what I can do on the space heater
Nice video, as a suggestion try to use gloves to change the oil (those latex ones), oil is pretty toxic.
Cheers for that legend. I’ll definitely do that
One good thing about the US, there are campgrounds in lots of places
Fantastic!!
New aussiespaniol video = happy me
Woohoo
Legend!
Yewww 🤙🏼
Soy la fan numero 1 de la pati 🥹🩷
Jajajaj sí ella es bonitaaa
Seems like you’re really getting the hang of servicing the tuk tuk/motor. By the end of this the company might make you the face of their business lol
Plan the Darien jungle crossing really well, there are a lot of horrible stories of people who try to cross it.
Absolutely 🙌🏼 thanks for the advice
Let me know when you are passing through Portland oregon. It would be great to do a meet-up.
Have you ever shown or discussed your drone? What type is it and what features that it has.
Only really in the video that I crashed it 😂 but it’s the DJI Mini 3
Mate, I hope once you get to Alaska you can float over to Russia and drive back to Australia. It’ll just take a few boats and a few thousand km of trackless Siberian tundra!
Could be the go!
How did you teach padi to not wonder of into the distand and stay withe you
I never really, I think it’s a Doberman thing as part of her species as a protector. I used treats to train the “come” command if she goes too far
Please be careful, the Darien Gap is one of the most dangerous places on Earth. It's not just the jungle, it's also drug traffickers and guerillas.. lots of people go either missing or get murdered there. I admire your adventure spirit, but maybe you should re-think that part.. :O
Let us know when you're ready for a few Viewer Challenges to complete along your journey!
Also thanks for the video!
Sounds good!
This thumbnail looks bad....
.... oh just routine maintenance, that's ok.
Was good to get a good look at the engine. Doesn't look much more than a 125cc. Enjoyed this raw sort of video.
Cheers legend 🙌🏼
Did you really drive the Gap?
$10,000 for the Darien Gap! It's understandable but isn't that like 2.5 or 3 x the price of the tuktuk
The tuk tuk is 5.5k new so heath basically 😂
@@aussieespanol 😁oh ok
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
