Since it's slot car season and I'm running cars every other day it doesn't get cleaned. If I'm off the track for a week or so I use my swiffer type mop misted with Windex and wipe it down. Thanks for the compliment.
Long story. This started about eight years or so ago when I bought my first 1/24 car. Since the 124 cars are 18 volt motors I changed it to the 12-volt 132 motor so I could run it with the 1/32 cars I already had and I. wouldn't have to change the power supply. I didn't plan on running 1/24 cars but changed the motors after adding a few more and fell in love with the 1/24s. The 12v motors offer more flexibility as you can get them in any configuration you want. The 18v motors you're limited to just a couple of options.
@@dw5555 I'm getting a 124 set that comes with the 18 volt power supply. Is it possible to adjust the controllers to lower the speed and be able to run some 132 cars on my set?
You will love the 1/24 cars. They drive totally different than the 1/32 cars. They are NOT pocket rockets. They drive more realistically. I ended up selling all my 1/32 cars and I strictly run 1/24's now. But in answer to you question, Yes you can use the 18v PS with the 1/32 cars. Just turn down the speed with the control unit. Have fun!!!
Eugene in my experience Carrera 1/24 cars run better with the fronts running on the track. I tried with a couple of cars setting them up with the tri-pod experience and they didn't run as well. Plus the weight of the cars caused the braid to wear out prematurely just running on the guide.
I’ve got the same car. Amazing track! Thanks for sharing the video.
Paul's tires are definitely a great upgrade, reminds me I have to place an order with the lad - luckily he only lives 15 minutes from my house.
Awesome video Sr.👍👍
Nice track👍
Thank you for sharing
This track is among my favorites. How often do you clean the track running surface from dust etc. ?

What's the part number for the Paul Gage tires for these guys? I have to re-shoe a pair.
Paul Gage is actually back to selling on eBay. Just search for "paul gage tires" and they will all come up.
“This thing is a pig.”
Obviously you’re not in advertising.
LOL 🤣 You're right, I can't believe I said that.

Why do you change the 124 motor out?

I don't show the whole conversion but this gives you an idea of what's involved for a motor swap. th-cam.com/video/WHA5qxaxLb4/w-d-xo.html
Front tyres are also too big ...they roll while car is running

Is it nod sad that you need to spend more $$ to make the car work, std tyres just DO NOT WORK
