Excellent tutorial! Nice speaking pace (for instruction) to the descriptions (not too fast to follow) and clear instructions. I wish I had seen this years ago! Well done!
Been using PS for 10 years and I still managed to learn some excellent tips from you! Thanks! Who says u can't teach an old dog new tricks?? Thank you so much for the knowledge and for your time!!
Although I rarely need the brush tool in the work I do, it's such an important tool, and the variety of implementation of it is so vast, that these tutorials are extremely valuable. And inspiring.
Absolutely splendid! Thank you! Most tutorials I've found take you into process, this takes you deep into specific tools. This is what I'm after, so thanks again.
For three days now I kept losing my outline for my brush and could not find any solution, within the first minute of your video yoe explained it was the Capslock key (it was). Thank you so much fo this simple but vital information it has really saved me. The rest of the video is very informative too..
If I want to use the brush tool to turn an area black (without using the select tool) would it be better to use the dodge and burn tool or use the brush tool in your opinion? Is there a slight difference in the tone/quality of the blackness when using one vs the other when it comes to prints? Thanks in advance. The Meltdownman
Should be usefull to precise that on PC the shortcut for brush size and hardness is "Alt + Right Clic" and not "Ctrl + Alt + Clic" However, great video as usual :p
Hi!! thanks for that great video!!! i only have a question. Every time i go to change in Shape Dynamics the option to "fade" it always returns to Pen Pressure (i don't have a pen). What can i do for that?
hi there! Im having trouble painting with the brush when I select the brush it show it but does not actually paint. What can u recommend to unlock the brush?
THANK YOU FOR EXPLANATION . MY PROBLEM IS THAT i SE THE BRUSH AS A CROSS ON THE SCREAN , HOW CAN I A BRUSH THAT LOOKS LIKE A CIRKEL ON THE SCREAN ,THANKS ONES AGAIN.
Not sure there is one... you can hit f5 to bring up the panel and then rotate it. Or... you can rotate the canvas instead by hitting R on the keyboard and do it that way. You may be able to set an Action to record flipping your brush, but rotating it is a bit arbitrary so not sure you can record that in an Action.
Hi, very useful but I cannot get the shortcut for changing the size and softness of a brush. If I use ctl and alt I get a duplicate layer. I tried shutting down and restarting but it's still the same. Any ideas why?
around 5:40 if you add 10% to 10% you dont get 20%, not in real life, not in photoshop. Try it for yourself duplicate a black object with opacity set to 10% 10 times, you will end up with grey. Other than that great video, learned a ton, thx for posting
WHAT IF ALL my settings are always fine but starting today Photoshop has been deleting ALL MY BRUSHES every time I open the app!! Every time I closed and restarted Photoshop, they were GONE!?!?! I would re-import them into groups all over again, save the file and close Photoshop properly. Restart it and BOOM.. they're GONE AGAIN!!! The brushes are all still in the presets/brushes folder, but what is going on and how can I fix this?? Is there a GB limit to what you can have in your presets/brushes folder by any chance?
Everything went fine until CTR+Alt dragging to the left and to the right, it moves rather the entire screen rather than enlarging or reducing the size of the brush :-(
Very good yours explanations. You are a excellent teacher! You go to the right subject, without unecessarily talkings. Time is precious. Thanks.

I... I have been using Photoshop for years and knew none of this.
And I'm 3 minutes in.
