I'm pretty sure he told his wife they were allowed to finish hunterxhunter without him if he dies. He has hidden a script with the direction the story was supposed to go in and how it should end, I'm pretty sure.
But I understand, because it would probably loose something if someone else drew Hunter x Hunter, and he’s worried about it. It’s really unfortunate, and I do hope that he can help work with others in HxH

Great video! Togashi's artwork is something I find so consistently fascinating to analyze, because it's so aestetically interesting. I'm 200% sounding like the pretentious nerd I am when I write this, but I actually enjoy the unfinished artwork quite a bit. Mainly because infamous panels, like Gon waving goodbye in front of the woods communicates a point of intrest through the bare minimum, that actually it's a very pure expression of an idea, which as an artist I love. Compromise and the manga industry go hand in hand of course, so other infamous moments like the end of Greed Island are, of course, exactly that. If it looked finished constantly, I don't think I'd be saying "I wish this was unfinished" but it's that borderline expressionism that compelled me the most to manga chimera ant and especially the election (my favorite hunter x hunter arc). Your descriptions of everyone was spot on. It's that mix of cartoony personality driven designs that I love about Togashi's draftsmanship, almost like whoever dominates the page, dominates the tone of the page. This is why I keep coming back to expressionism. I think of the impressive pages like Netero's giving thanks being a wonderful example of crosshatching right next to Gon's transformation near the end of the arc accented by brush strokes. Then followed by the absolute essentials in the absolute compromised pages. It's something I really enjoy. I do hope Togashi's health improves and he is able to somehow finish HxH. But if not, videos like these definitely keep it alive.
I think Togashi's back pain is combined with headaches and migraines. While term "back pain" seems small, it is still central cord of nerve systems. If something goes wrong there it can reflect pain to all parts of the body. Movement of the hand radiates impulse to the back and that in turn might send painful signal to the brain. I am not expert on this and mostly base this on simplimistic view. Every nerve signal goes through spinal cord as it reaches the brain so it is not surprising misalignments around back area can make whole body go numb.
What’s wrong with Tokyo Ghoul’s art? I just finished Re and I think it’s pretty nice. It definitely developed over time, but I can’t say it was ever bad. I’ll say this though: Some characters look WAY too similar in Re and it makes it hard to keep track of who’s who. Other than that though, I think it’s pretty good

Fair enough haha - at least you have an ending that way
I love both equally honestly
Romans 10:9 - If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved
I'm not a big fan of his art. But their stories are responsible for anime that I love, which shows that you just need to be a good storyteller often.
Interesting, I think his art style is phenomenal, although I think it’s fair to say that his back pain art is unfortunate.
Wow I'm the latest comment

Good designs, cool story, he still draws like sh¡t.
It should be called a novelution really, of how much fucking texts there is.
A devolved form of his old artistic style, not caring about the background or anything, just the characters.
Not saying it's a bad thing, nor its a good one.
Its just a decent shonen, even a seinen at some points.
The dumb amount of text has always been there, even during the heaven's arena arc when Nen got instrocuced, is nothing new, we just got less patient due to the time we gotta wait for the continuation but the long winded exposition has always been a feature on HxH
2:37 I mean!! Berserk... Okay let it...
