HH launches aerial mapping Survey

President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA has launched the countrywide high resolution aerial geographical survey, meant to detect various mineral resources beneath the surface.
President HICHILEMA has described the exercise as one of the critical ingredients to drive the country in the direction of progress.
The President says he places the mining sector highly in the country's economic restructuring efforts, hence the launch of the mapping exercise is an important investment.
He says the mapping of the country's minerals is important as it will also give Zambia knowledge of the water resources that sit underground, to enable investment in irrigation agriculture in view of the current drought.
Speaking during the Launch in Lusaka today, President HICHILEMA also challenged the media to give the correct narrative on the project.
