I have the 320 field. And yes, it does keep skunks, weasels, and coyotes away... from my daughters ... hehehe 😆.

It's always a great day when you get a new gun. Also, you made me realize that I need to get some snap caps so I can practice reloading. Thank you.

Unloading from the bottom. Push the tab in at the same time
Push the shell forward and Up it will release The live round caution. It's under Spring pressure, so it will Pop right out. I personally do not like racking it to unload It damages The brass
From the ejector. Love the dog shirt, by the way I need to get one of my french Bulldog

Nice video brother! Everyone should have the right to protect themselves. I think you made a good choice with the 320, I've enjoyed mine. 👍

alright my man, just gonna leave you some tips here:
1: when your done practicing with the shotty it's always recommended to press the trigger to decock the firearm (of course when unloaded and you know there arent any rounds in there) for these two reasons, spring preservation is a good enough reason by itself, let alone overall safety, say you left it chambered, and the shotgun fell, it can go off cause there is no safety to prevent it from going off once it has fallen
2: never rack the slide in a home/self defense situation as racking the slide deterrent has never worked, that will only cause more problems and you possibly having to shoot somebody as most criminals who would want to break into your home are most likely armed in some way

I've got a 320, too, lots of gun for a great price. Choate Machine & Tool makes an extension tube kit that will give you one more shell capacity on the security model.

I have a Stevens 320 in 20 gauge. Its the security model, so it had the pistol grip. It was the first shotgun I got in bigger gauge.
Just remember that you can unload the gun via the magazine tube. Press the tube retension button on the side inside the carriage area. Each shell will pop out thru the loading gate. Take and be safe.

I really appreciate this video and for you taking time to make .
I just purchased my first shotgun.
    First gun ever !!
I too purchased the Stevens Savage 320 12 gauge with ghost rings .
I’m still nervous about it to be honest but at the same time I feel as though I have piece of mind .
Want to protect my family !!
These times are not so good and will only get worse . ( I pray it won’t but better be safe than sorry ).
    Ok .
So I have not actually fired the weapon yet ( I picked up yesterday).
The store had to order me one … took about a week .
During that week , I bought a really nice leather strap off Amazon ( fits perfectly), and I purchased some dummy shells .
I was practicing just now .
It can be a little tricky at first trying to figure this out .
Thank Goodness for these dummy rounds .
    Safe and easy !!
Gives you a better feel for what you are getting into .
I’m sure it will be a lot different once I fire a real round at the range … looking forward to the recoil already haha .
I also purchased a pad for the stock .
Not here yet but I hear it works well ( just added protection for shoulder area ).
Anyway … this was very helpful .
    Excited !!
    Nervous !!
But as I said …. Piece of Mind .
    Stay safe as always 🇺🇸

You shouldn't have to take it off safe to unload/load. Keep practicing the controls while using your snap caps and always follow the four basic rules and you'll be doing great.👍🏻🍻

It's just a shame we need guns to defend our family's these days, and your right on the cops. I don't mean to knock them, but just a few days ago I had a intruder and luckily all I had to do was just unholster my side arm, and it took the police over 10 minutes to finally get to my home and we live in the city

the police are doing their best they can. because a lot of citys have the cops one hand tied behind their backs. with little support from anyone. no wonder crime is so bad.

That is not the ideal method to unload a shotgun, you should unload from loading gate underneath the shotgun. Visit other TH-cam videos to learn how to do it. Your method is not safe, putting a shell in the chamber is risky.

First of all, at the very beginning of the video, one of the first things you say is that you got a new "toy". It's not a fuc*ing toy so don't call it one. Not even jokingly. And second, to unload from the bottom, all you have to do is rack it about 1/3 of the way and then push the bar down that's on the left side of the receiver and the shell pops right out. I had my 320 about 2 days before I figured it out.
