Motocross Action Magazine tests the all new 2023 GASGAS MC450F Factory Edition in the high desert. SoCal has had a ton of rain so we took our new bike to the desert on a rough track to see what the 2023 GASGAS MC450F was all about. The GASGAS has now caught up to the Husqvarna and KTM with an all new frame, new body work, new swing arm, new air box, new mapping, new suspension settings, new engine position, new exhaust, new fuel tank and more. There are some key differences between the GASGAS, Husqvarna, and KTM. We reveal those differences in this video and also give you an idea of which one might be better for you.

It's interesting that KTM has gone this route, I guess maybe it's more fan friendly to have 3X the bikes on the grid, but all in different colors w/ different names? With all these bikes on the grid one would think their development will outrun the rest.
So are these GAS GAS, KTM and Factory editions better than the Honda works edition, Kawi SR or the bone stock Yam 450? I think if you put an extra $3k into the Yam it would be really hard to beat.
Yeah, I don't see the point of essentially having 3 of the same bike in different colors. They should have kept the earlier generation. Isn't GG supposed to be cheaper? Although it's probably cheaper to make them the same generation.
The gas gas factory edition is the best looking out of all the KTM models and huskys

Keefer seems to feel differences on this machine. Maybe the aluminum sub gives a different feel. Hopefully less prone to crack. I just put a deposit on this thing. First modern bike or brand new machine I’ll have ever had.

@@larryjr558 It’s funny my initial though was start by stating it’s my first modern bike, then I re read my comment. Also I’m novice. All that said I’ve never had more fun on a bike. I change oil and air filter religiously. Do the normal maintenance. Plus check the forks air every ride. It’s the easiest bike ever for common maintenance. Only weird things I’ve had was one time forks were 0 psi. It worried me but I blew out schrader, pumped it and it never happened again. And one time the seat came off and slid between my leg in the air. I use loctite on the seat bolt now and it hasn’t happened again. Keefer actually warned of this too. I got no discount and I’m very happy with it. I ride it better than a rode my mint 125
@@andrewjck1 i’m assuming you ride track. i ride trails, nasty climbs, and sometimes jumps. how do you think it’d hold up there? i’m a intermediate rider who sends stuff but i don’t ride track. i appreciate your feedback im in the market for a new bike and i just saw the gas gas at my local dealer some days ago. doing some research for now but im in between the husq fc450 2023 or the gas gas mc450 factory 2023

@@larryjr558 if you ride mostly woods and climbs and you want power I’d look at KTM 300 2 strokes. Now with the EFI they have good torque. You won’t overheat like you probably will on a thumper and it’s lighter to throw around in the woods. For track I’d go with the gas gas over the fc to stay away from the shorter suspension design. I have a tight track in the woods and it is fine on it but I can’t ride slow with the kids or mess around practicing slow speed too much or it boils over. Those big 450’s need air.

I have a 2023 SX-F 350, is there no way to change to a regular aftermarket cap? This new cap REALLY does suck as I can't get mine off at all.

the numbers are from DeCal Works, the graphics on the bike are oem from gasgas

It does sound a bit disappointing they are nice bike but like you said who wants 3 different ktms so the old died last year in the 2022 been like the end of a Era an common give us a free map switch common man hahahahaha
