Wow, I have been looking at vegan meals for a year and your hacks and swaps are so high quality. I am impressed. Any you can give is helpful. I went vegan, but didn't lose much weight. Still didn't go back, but looking at your processed vegan food and restaurant vegan food, I know why I didn't lose weight. I got confused at a lot of the vegan cooking and got exhausted and just took a week off and you are inspiring me to try again. Thanks!
High Carb Hannah I’ve never been able to “pan fry” veggies without even small amount of oil. It always just steams it gets mushy and never has any crunch.
Loved this book! The science behind the diet was very informative and easy to understand. I would recommend this diet to everyone. I've tried all kinds of sorts from slim fast to weight watchers and nothing ever worked. But at last I lost 6lbs the first week and a total of 14 lbs in two weeks. *Give a try! Get your copy from here **t.co/ollWhetOtu** :)*
I have been vegan for over a year now. You were one of the first people I watched on TH-cam. I like how you have matured, stayed pretty much out of the drama (as best anyone can). You are still a good watch. Stay true to you. Thank you!
Thank you, Hannah! After several years of eating vegan, my husband & I found the world of high carb low fat cooking & eating. (We finally said "Good bye!" to the EVOO & coconut oil in our pantry.) After just a short period of time of eating high carb low fat, we are feeling extra energized! Thank you for all the meaningful content that you & your husband make & share. Your creative recipes, down-to-earth attitude, and inspiring words have me feeling extra motivated on our continuing journey of happiness and health. We are grateful for you!
That yogurt hack just made me fall in love with this channel. I want to switch to a plantbased diet, but my biggest weaknesses are fish and Greek yogurt. I'll be sure to try that hack but with almond milk! 😍
Please keep up the TH-cam videos! I am not on instagram and watch you on youtube daily for inspiration. I am 5 weeks plant based and your videos really help keep me motivatedand to keep going. Thank you so much for the inspiration!
Hanna I love your voice over vlogs. They arei so clear, concise and straightforward. So much time is wasted often when presenters talk while they cook. You get an A+ for your videos and I will follow you.
Hey Hannah - just wanted to say you have really inspired me over the last 6 months to be fully vegan and lose weight. I know you’ve been struggling a bit lately. Hang in there lady. You are awesome inside and out. Love from Houston. Kristen
I made yogurt this way after watching your video and wow! So much easier than in the Instant Pot! I just opened three capsules and poured them right in my soy milk carton, shook it up and poured it in small Mason jars. Thanks for this great tip!
YES! More what I eat in a day and videos like this! Sometimes I just have no inspiration and then you put up a video and it helps MORE then you know!! Thanks for being you and sharing!!!
I just found your channel this morning, and I'm hooked. This is the third one I've watched while I was getting ready this morning. You have excellent content! Excited for more of your videos!
I just used your cannelloni bean spread recipe to make something similar, since I didn’t have exactly the same ingredients on hand, and it turned out amazing! Here’s what I put into it: 1 can of Navy beans, rinsed and drained 1 15-oz jar of fire roasted red bell peppers, drained 2 Tablespoons lemon juice 1 Tablespoon each of: Italian seasoning Smoked paprika Garlic powder Onion powder I blended this in my ninja, and it came out AMAZING!!!!! I can see so many uses for this sauce! Sandwich spread, pizza sauce, pasta sauce, veggies dip, whatever the imagination can think of!
Great hacks!! Although cooking vegetables in water is not at all the same as using oil to cook them. Water steams them, oil actually fries them and makes them crispy and helps them brown. If I'm trying to lose weight, sure, I'll ditch the oil. But it doesn't taste as good cooking veggies that way. 😜
Rebecca Huber you'd be surprised how quickly your taste buds adapt! i cut out oils months ago bc i'm loosing weight, and now i hate the taste of stuff that was cooked in oil. it's like it covers all the flavors, it's weird.
I've always loved your videos but lately they've been getting better and better ! Really love the content and layout of these videos, you sound so passionate about this in your voice too :-) please make more, really love them.
Can you please share information with us regarding how you select breads and other types of carbs like pasta that are not of the vegetable and fruit family. I am always at the grocery store trying to figure out how to make the best choices in those type of products. Thank you for all of these great videos regarding weight loss meal planning. Also, do you have a video explaining your app?
We are in this together. We have spent years of our lives being brainwashed that the SAD diet is just the way it is. We are undoing it all one TH-cam video at a time, one plant based meet up group, and one plant based instagram pic. It all counts Hannah. You are inspiring people everyday. ❤️
Wow the yogurt recipe is so simple!! I have been killing myself looking for non-dairy yogurts and when I do find, they're so expensive! So glad I found this :D Quick question, do I have to leave it in the fridge for that one week before consuming? Can it be less? Thanks!
After stiring in the pro biotics, you leave it outside for 24-48hrs and then pop in the fridge until you're eating it! can be the same day or a few days later!
I did a taste test, before it was ready, and so far the yogurt is amazing. Much better flavor than dairy yogurt. HOWEVER I do have questions.....I mixed the yogurt approx 16 hrs ago and my house is around 82 degrees. Does anyone know if the yogurt can "go bad" while sitting out to thicken if it's really hot? Does putting it in the fridge before 24 hrs reduce the thickness? Any tips from someone who's made it is appreciated.
So many great ideas and tips, I keep learning great foodie tips from you. I actually prefer this kind of format over what I eat in a day format. It doesn't really matter to me. Your videos are so clear and to the point, no BS. Length is just right.
High Carb Hannah oh man, I had ordered this after you recommended it a while ago in another video. Haven't been taking it regularly but I'm disappointed you didn't see any difference. :/
I noticed hair and fingernail growth and health! It was the only change that I made to my daily routine, so I am attributing the increased health of my nails and hair to it. Hope this helps.
I have noticed absolutely tremendous benefits taking it!!! My stomach issues have improved greatly. I take Lumino's Gentle Daily Cleanse that not only has diatomaceous but also other really good ingredients. I take 1tbsp every morning in water and I never skip a day because I truly have noticed a remarkable difference. You can order it online: www.luminofoodgradede.com/gentle_daily_cleanse.php
Thank you so much for the kitchen hacks. Please make more video like this!! It's really useful and I'm definitely try all these recipes and methods real soon. ❤️❤️
Does it matter how strong the probiotic is for this recipe? Like, do you need more than three capsules per cup of plant milk if it's less than 25 billion? Also, is the measurement three caps per cup milk? I'd like to make a big batch so would be great to get it right the first time around! Thanks in advance! xx
Might wanna be careful with tortillas - years ago in my more hazardous youth I put tortillas in the toaster; the edge curled up and touched the heating element and caught on fire! I managed to throw a fire blanket over it (only time in my life I've ever used one) but by then it had already destroyed the toaster and blacked up the cupboard the toaster was underneath...
This information is just what I needed. I am going to substitute the cannelini beans for tahini in a salad dressing recipe I use. Perfect! Thanks so much.
Fats do satiate and nothing wrong with a tsp of oil to cook (very little). Steaming vegetables lacks texture and doesn't achieve the same flavor in my opinion. These tips were great though.
Thank you so much, Hannah, for these hacks, I was losing weight but began using too many nuts and seeds in my recipes, hence I gained back 10 lbs! I've been trying to get back on track and so far i've lost a few more lbs cutting back on all the vegan junk food. Last night I made my vegan brown gravy but instead of cashew butter I used the canellini beans and can't even tell the difference!
I have a Yonanas and it was the biggest waste of money. I use my cheap ol' Black & Decker food processor (same one I use for salsa, hummus, meatless loaf, and more) to make my banana nice cream and it works FANTASTIC. Don't waste your money on a one trick pony, get an appliance that has multiple uses. It's far more minimalistic and practical! :) ❤️PS: if you insist on a Yonanas machine, go to thrift stores. They are about $8 there. Or $50 new. I still say get a food processor. You'll get far more use out of it.
You look incredible. Camera work and setups are so beautiful. Makes the food look luscious. Thanks for posting and for being so thoughtful about the content. Great ideas and, as a long time vegan/plant based person, it gives me new ideas and that keeps me on track to lose those last pounds and not get bored. Thanks for posting. I like these posts the best, but I like any that you want to do.
Sweetheart this kind of video is great. Stay inspiring. You and your husband are blessing to many, I know you are to me and I could be your mom. Much love and success 💚
Just when I thought you had reached the peak of everything in life, here you are upping the game even more and looking hella beautiful in the process. You are slaying life!
I use store-bought, packaged broth to fry in (as opposed to water). Once the food in frying starts browning and the pan is super hot hit it with quick, small splashes of the liquid. The extreme heat makes it evaporate, and cook down immediately. This will quazi-carmelize whatever your cooking.
I’m at my whits end! I weight the heaviest I’ve ever weighed! I know eating like this is the way but consistency is a problem when I’m feeding a family who isn’t vegan. Today I’m challenging myself to stay firm and eat whole food plant based every meal. Pray for me!!! I need this!
I've been looking for a nice vegan yogurt for so long and could never find one but this is perfect, thankyou so much!! Every recipe looks so amazing can't wait to try 😍😍
I am just amazed by the creative ways to make oil free vegan food ! I have attempted in the past to go vegan , but couldn't stick with it because of no variety. I'm new to your channel and with your ideas and recipes there is no way anyone can't have success. Thanks.
I like the idea of posting your daily meals in your IG stories. Not big work. And that you still make videos like this one or explaining complete recipes. Thank´s a lot! I´m going to toast my tortillas and try the bean dip! It´s brilliant! Thank you SO MUCH.
You can buy nut butters without oil. The ones at Trader Joes are oil free and super affordable! Wholefoods has some too, but they're more expensive. The Wholefoods bulk peanut butter is a bit cheaper.
Hannah, I have a question. I thought starches are the ones that fill you up. Veggies have very little calories and alot of fibre in them but how does that fill you up? Hehehe probably it's a preference thing? I don't know, I need you to let me know hahaha ... Thank you! 💜💜💜
it's the fiber that fills you up. Caldwell Esselstyn, Michael Greger et. al. have great lectures regarding the volume contents of which types of foods fill you up the most. High fiber veggies win.
Starches are "hearty," protein seems to keep most people full, carbs provide full feeling and also help with energy. If you can eat 4 cups of veggies vs. a cup of starches (assuming they're equal calories) the 4 cups will fill your stomach more than the 1 cup.
Yes! Love all these recipes! Anyone got any tips for oil free fries not sticking to the tray? I was using a coconut oil spray but ran out of it and tried to cook fries without it but they all stuck badly to the tray. Disaster. :'(
tilywinn i use a glass pan and heat it up in the oven or toaster oven FIRST, then i put the fries on the pan quickly and put it in the oven. the fries should sizzle when you put them on the pan. i do this every time because it prevents sticking. you need a glass pan, though. edit: no one else is aware of this trick? you guys are missing out. it cooks the bottom of the fries so theyre crispy, too.
Hi Hannah! You've become one of my favorite TH-camrs recently! I was curious if you think of it next time you go to the store doing a video on what groceries you typically buy at the store! Like what are your repeat buys every time you go or every time you run out! Thanks so much!
Jules I'm just like you. I still want to lose weight though, but this time around I stay away from weighing myself/taking measurements. It helps a lot.
Ok, so I get why the "milk" shouldn't have sugar in it, but why can't you use one with thickeners? Will it not turn out? Or is it just not the healthiest? Thanks! I'm looking forward to making the recipe, but don't have any soy milk without thickeners right now.
Kate Smith I've tried making it with the shelf stable silk soy milk and it didn't work. It never got thick just like runny cottage cheese texture. I'm trying it Hannah's way now hopefully it turns out well! Good luck to you :)
I'm super interested in your dip and sauce recipies you've been making with beans. I think that video would be appreciated by many!!! Thanks for inspiring me every day. I'm 17 pounds down so far.
I'm not totally vegan, but I strive to eat more veggies, plant/nut dairy, etc. Either way, I LOVE Hannah's recipes. I watch her videos or check her Instagram all the time for healthier alternatives, recipes and meal ideas. I just love her 🥰
Please make sure to say that you're not a dietitian or nutritionist some people react bad to Some fats however some people still need them on a daily basis. Not all forms of fat are bad. Although weight loss is good there should still be a balance and a very healthy way to lose fat and weight. After all the main goal should be to be healthy since so many people are suffering from body dysmorphia.
Back when I was a teen I use to cook my veggies with water and made sure I used as little oil and fat as possible. Then a few years back "they" told us that olive oil, coconut oil, avocado oils were all so good for you and that you're not doing your skin, brain & hair good by not eating them. I was adding coconut oil to my smoothies! NOW we're back to what always seemed to be common sense that extra oil isn't that good for you because it's pure fat...... so I'm using my coconut oil as a moisturizer and cooking with water again LOL

I'm going to make the yogurt and freeze it in zip lock popsicle thingies so my kids can have vegan "go-gurts" on the cheap.
Hannah, seriously...this is one of your best videos. Your tips are so great! Love the bean sub idea and the tortilla in the toaster.
My husband and I went vegan over a month ago! Still going strong. Thank for being such an awesome influence Hannah! 💜💙💜💙💜💙

Can you post the recipe for the cannellini spread please? Thanks
the one in this video was just 1 can of cannelini beans, 2 tbsp sundried tomato soaked, 2 tbsp lemon juice, 1 tbsp italian herbs, 2 garlic cloves :)
High Carb Hannah Thank you!!!
So making the cannellini spread today!
@@angelafitton2344 how was it?

1 can of Navy beans, rinsed and drained
1 15-oz jar of fire roasted red bell peppers, drained

1 Tablespoon each of:
Italian seasoning
Smoked paprika
Garlic powder
Onion powder
I blended this in my ninja, and it came out AMAZING!!!!!

I love the idea of substituting cannellini beans for tahini! All recipes look so good!
Vegetable broth is an amazing alternative to oil for frying things (:
The quality of this channel is AMAZING
Wow the yogurt recipe is so simple!! I have been killing myself looking for non-dairy yogurts and when I do find, they're so expensive! So glad I found this :D Quick question, do I have to leave it in the fridge for that one week before consuming? Can it be less? Thanks!
no i ate it before even refrigerating lol i was so excited but it thickens like 2x the amount when refrigerated and will last up to a week in there
oh ok. thanks so much!
I love how simple it is. I tried a yogurt maker and that didn't work at all.
Ivy Winwood lmaoo, I think that ALL of the time, simpler is better :)

Could you please talk in one of your upcoming videos about any benefits you have received from taking Diatomaceous earth? Love you lots!!

Great tips ! I can't wait to try the last dip !
Love the yogurt recipe. I freeze the yogurt, put it in my ninja add frozen blueberries and maple syrup. Tastes like sorbet. Yum! Thanks Hannah:)
ur such an inspiration thanks for the meals
Everything looked amazing. The bean idea is brilliant.
How does one FRY without oil. You cant fry without oil. Its called boiling.
These tips look amazing! I can't wait to try them. Thank you!
Hannah, I have a question. I thought starches are the ones that fill you up. Veggies have very little calories and alot of fibre in them but how does that fill you up? Hehehe probably it's a preference thing? I don't know, I need you to let me know hahaha ... Thank you! 💜💜💜
Potatoes they are both filling. Vegetables are just less calorically dense
it's the fiber that fills you up.
I'm going to stop using oil now, thanknyou so much, Hannah, your video is so comprehensive
Yes! Love all these recipes! Anyone got any tips for oil free fries not sticking to the tray? I was using a coconut oil spray but ran out of it and tried to cook fries without it but they all stuck badly to the tray. Disaster. :'(
tilywinn parchment paper and flip 1-2 times to a clean area of the paper
I tried with wax paper but they still stuck. Is parchment paper different to wax paper?
get a sil pat sheet they are amazing
PARCHMENT paper, or silicone mat. NOT wax paper. The wax melts.
tilywinn i use a glass pan and heat it up in the oven or toaster oven FIRST, then i put the fries on the pan quickly and put it in the oven. the fries should sizzle when you put them on the pan. i do this every time because it prevents sticking. you need a glass pan, though.
edit: no one else is aware of this trick? you guys are missing out. it cooks the bottom of the fries so theyre crispy, too.
Hi Hannah! You've become one of my favorite TH-camrs recently! I was curious if you think of it next time you go to the store doing a video on what groceries you typically buy at the store! Like what are your repeat buys every time you go or every time you run out! Thanks so much!
tbh i dont like to follow diets that go by calories cause last time i got into it i got too much swamped into it i developed an eating disorder
Jules I'm just like you. I still want to lose weight though, but this time around I stay away from weighing myself/taking measurements. It helps a lot.
Hi Hannah, thanks for the great tips/recipes. Also please could you shows how us how you store your recipes so that they last longer during the week.
I would prefer more video's with food hacks instead of what you ate in a day. maybe a video on tips for travel or vacations.
Always love seeing your 'what i eat in a day' videos but really loved this video as well. Very helpful Hannah!
your hair looks so nice pulled up like that!
Can make shampoos with many of ingrieds.
I always love seeing your what I eat in a day videos :) I have probably seen them all at least twice and I still can't wait for the next one 💜💜💜
Best. Vegan. Channel.
you are too kind :) There are so many awesome vegan channels!
I love pick up limes
the dip and the yogurt were amazing also they are quick and simple! thanks♥
This was one of the most helpful videos you've posted, thank you! Definitely trying the yogurt and the toaster tortillas.
I'm so going to make that soy yogurt. Non-dairy yoghurts are dang expensive in Singapore.
Your ideas and tips are so unique and different ! Love it!
Huh? Did I just hear you say fats aren't satiating? It's the most slow digesting macronutrient!
Corina Nielsen she was talking about if your a volume water, some people need lots of food to be satiated even when the eat fats
She said that while talking about oil, the fats from oil are definitely not satiating.
Celine E different types of fat, avocados have good fats, chicken fat not so good for you, you understand .?
Oil Fats are bad, Nuts, seeds, Avocado is good.
yeah but shes saying like just eat a tablespoon of oil and see if you feel full or satisfied?
Veggies are what fill you up, etc.
I'd like to see more of those bean spreads. Instagram can be so simple and fun!
